I am eating cellery, red radishes, carot, and I am having spring onion and garlic with my white beans ministrone soup right now. For the past two days on the weekend I did not go for a walk as it was raining too much. I felt bad about myself because if I don t go to the gym I have to walk. Anyway today I went to Body pump class and I feel so much better. I started this class a few months ago with smaller weights then I realised I could put more on the bar as long as I did it correctly. I love classes because I need the instructer to push us to the music and I have a lot of friends around me doing the same thing. I have been doing Zumba and Body ballance for years, someetimes Pilates. I am 67 feeling like 27 the most. People think that I am as young as 40 sometimes. I eat very healthy. I always prepare my meals and seldom I eat out. Not into restaurant food. Only on holidays in other countries. I chosen a job so that I could look after myself. It did not matter I finished Uni. I prefer less money but more time for myself. I still got to travel good part of the world. I think for those who need motivation the gym iclasses are really good. Consistence pays off. I am 100 per cent happy. Not because everything is fine in my life but because I do the best I can and accept the things I have no control over.
Luke, that was absolutely excellent on maintaining and building muscle. I'm totally with you about the need for strength training, at really any age. The benefits are simply too great to ignore. Chronologically, I'm in my 70's now. I've been working out with weights for decades, and I love it. Consequently I look good; I maintaining a youthful appearance, and certainly I feel good! I could go on and on, but just suffice it to say that the info you are putting out on this subject is pure wisdom. Thanks!

I cant thank you enough luke. I have started IF since last 3 weeks and it has changed my life so much. Am a doctor.. tea and coffee were my staple for last 10 yrs…but now am full of energy without them. I cant believe it. And am not strict at all with how many hours i have to fast. I feel hungry i eat. Its relatively easy for me since i am busy in the morning.But it has really changed my life and am happy without any reason 😅

Get your calories and nutrients from whole foods with right balance of carbohydrates, fat and proteins. Quality and quantity both matter. For vegetarians, very important to regularly get proteins from legumes like chickpeas, beans and lentils. Get your vitamins and minerals from variety of seasonal vegetables and fruits. Enjoy all the good food you like but don't over eat or over consume any particular food
