Mike, the macaroni pie has been a part of the Scottish diet for many years. Actually, I could just go one now! Chicken curry pies and haggis pies topped with mashed potato are also available. 😋
Its beans that i'd complain about and everthing else in the pot only lastly would I moan about the toms. I mean the sausage what the yikes is in them. I mean if they cost small change to buy how much do they cost to make & what the Fook with. Yeeek!!
Funny how you see them in the east of England, but as someone who lives in east Anglia I’ve never seen one lol! Nearest one to me is a good while away. I’ve got Iceland, Aldi & Lidl. I always thought Heron Foods / Farm Foods was more popular up north.
These things are always slightly better in the oven. If you thought breakfast is salty, they do a fish, chips and mushy peas. Worst thing about college was these meals
Nowt wrong with Farmfoods - fine when you're on a budget and you have a chest freezer. They do good deals on a heap of frozen veggies for £3 I think and loads of other stuff.
@Bob Mathews It is pretty funny you think yourself so important that anybody should stop what they're doing and respond to you. I'd say you are the true "tosser" whatever the bloody hell that means.
That breakfast for £1.69?! Surely it'd be cheaper (and much nicer) for people to buy all the individual components from the basic store brands of the bigger supermarkets. At Aldi it's about 23p for a tin of beans that'd provide 3 portions, tomatoes are just as cheap, eggs come in at like 8p each in a 12 pack, and you can get a bag of frozen sausages (of dubious quality) for about £1. I'm so confused as to why this product exists! Is it purely for the convenience of quickly microwaving it? Wouldn't it be better to just have something like eggs and/or beans with toast if time's an issue? So many questions
Macaroni pies are amazing, I lived in glasgow for a bit, never tried haggis til I moved back to England and still haven't had a deep fried Mars bar but got hooked on these absolute gems
Seeing the Pouch ad in the video description made it sound like Pouch was the company that owned Farmfoods. Made for quite the surprise when he did the plug just before lunch, that it’s basically completely unrelated.
I would love to try the macncheese pie, but where i live in the usa it is hard to find a decent tasting frozen mac of any kind. The best 2 I have found are lean cuisine white cheddar mac n cheese, and the super cheap banquet brand. There are some boxed ones that can be improved with real cheese and canned chicken, but i cant always count on my body to allow me to cook fresh food.
I've had that kebab meat and chips, absolutely foul. The meat (Chicken, lamb and beef) always taste offish. Kershaws are in loads of different supermarkets.
They sell those in the corner shop near me. They have fish n chips, liver and onions, big breakfast, some stew or something. It looks like hospital food. I pity the poor people who buy the crap.
No exactly, scotch pie is made with mutton. This is just a macaroni pie, but it's still very Scottish! That was a gash pie though, more cheese sauce needed desperate like..
I shop at Farmfoods for frozen vegetables and suchlike which are perfectly OK. A word of warning - some of their food eg duck comes from China. Food from China is to be avoided as some of the production methods are sometimes suspect.
This does look a lot like, "let's find the worst they have to offer." We're on a budget, and they provide great deals like 3x fish or seafood for £10, which is not processed, or deals on frozen chicken which are great. Their ready meals are awful, but nearly all ready meals are awful. Love you mate, but it feels like your choices are character assassination
@@fallenishvalen9970 just seems a bit unfair when he didn't do the same with, for instance, the other supermarkets' value brands, which have some horror shows he avoided
You might already know this, the reason your cat throws itself on it’s back in front of you, is to show that it loves you! My daughter’s (also black, coincidently) cat does that too and, when she stays with me, throws herself on her back when I’m shuffling my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night! Also the pastry on the mac n cheese pies benefits from being heated in the oven, it comes out crispy.
I'm going to be completely honest, they had those mac and cheese pies at the American chain Trader Joe's by me this Christmas, they were tasty. And that kebab looks good, but I would have moved the meat to one side.
Shank Adams trust me it’s not all quality. I work in a food factory and supply all major super markets with same the product and Waitrose charge tripe the amount and Aldi get the same product and sell well cheaper you pay for the name and fancy packing.
Omg Mike nooooooo! no wonder Gracie isn't partaking hah weve tried food from Farmfoods and it's Bogging with a capital B :( your little cat is beautiful btw
is it fair on farmfoods you seem to be choosing food just to find out how awful they are instead of meals you might enjoy to see if the quality of farmfood is good?
These kinds of product from farmfoods are a little questionable sometimes but if you want to bulk buy some meat they’re an excellent option instead of your standard supermarket
I've been watching you for years, and I never noticed how much weight you lost! Stay healthy, especially with all the stuff going around now. That salt is a bit worrying.
Is it actually cheaper than asda or tesco ? I buy mostly all my stuff from asda and ive never had problems , i dont do ready meals or premade stuff tho
For dry goods like cereal, soda, crisps, biscuits I'd say yes. You can also get pretty good deals on fish, pizzas, chips, frozen veg and fruit if that's your thing. I wouldn't recommend them for fresh fruit, veg useually don't have much choice. The toilet paper they have is amazing, super cheap but the same quality as the top brands.
If nothing else good comes from this week, and it doesn't look like it will, you reminded me that Micro Chips are a thing so gonna have to get me some of those! I've also never heard or seen a Farmfoods before, are they only in certain parts of the country?
That dinner was drunk-people food only worse, because it's premeditated. I mean, you've got to buy it in a shop, preheat the oven and time it to put the cheese on, instead of the traditional preparation of stumbling into a chippy at 2am absolutely shitfaced. It's not even got chilli sauce on it to take the taste away!
The tomato looked the best part of that breakfast..... I went to farmfoods once.... The best thing I got there was the carrier bag.. It was very roomy and very strong.
I'm going to have to make some. Cook pasta, add cheese, get ready made pastry, fill with cheesy mac, cook in oven. Simple. Don't need to buy frozen junk.
Love the tertiary brands they make up. Kershaws etc. Because they want people to feel good about the food they're eating but feel ashamed to put their own name on it...

We have the best food, roll and sausage with black pudding and hp fruity sauce.
Macaroni pie are normal aren't they probably cause I'm Scottish but I didn't think our diet was that bad
I'm healthy enough growing up on that sort of food.

It is in the part of Scotland I come from.

Processed, frozen, and microwaved to buggery. Ain't no vitamins in there.
a doner kebab doesn't mean its lamb, its the way its cooked as you can get a chicken doner too.
This whole idea is peak british youtube. Blessed to have found your channel Mike

I can't think of any Farmfood stores near me. See them all the time in the east of England, but zero near me.

Trick to the donner meat is to remove it and cook separately for 2 mins in the microwave. Chips in the oven and add the cheese.
