Description:
In this video, raw food chef and author Jennifer Cornbleet shows you how to prepare a classic nut butter using raw nuts. It's a popular raw food recipe from her book Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People Revised.
Nut butter can be a healthy, satisfying snack with plenty of nutrition. In this how-to raw food demonstration video, Jennifer Cornbleet shows you how to use a food processor to turn raw nuts into a wholesome butter without the added salt, fat, and sugar you find in commercial nut butters, such as peanut butter.
Jennifer begins with an overview of the world's nuts and tells you which two nuts she considers the top of the heap when it comes to flavor. She touches on the subject of peanut allergies and explains how other nut butters do not trigger allergic responses as frequently.
You'll also learn about storing nut butter and what to do to keep it fresh for up to 3 months. Even at room temperature, nut butters will stay fresh for 14 days, so they're perfect for camping and hiking, not to mention picnics.
Then it's time for the magic to begin. In real time, Jennifer demonstrates that it takes less than ten minutes to create a homemade nut butter that is fresher and creamier than anything that comes out of a plastic jar.
You'll learn why it's important NOT to soak nuts for nut butter and what you need to do to achieve just the right texture in terms of spreadability. Jennifer lets you see the ingredients come together at every stage, changing from nuts to powder to a creamy paste.
Nut butter is wonderful on fruits or vegetables and or 'straight up' on a teaspoon.

Your video is very nice, but that does not look like cream, it looks more like a crumb, but thank you anyway for your time.
I do but add coconut oil and use a vitamix. I sprout and dehydrate myself so I know its raw.
Thank you very Much Dear 🌷💐👍👍👍, I just find this video so Happy 😁😘❤️
_thank you, Jennifer! Great!_
Jennifer you are amazing!
Of course you would Paula, we all know that... this is supposed to be raw and pure!
I prefer regular butter as it is a better lubricant.
could u use sprouted dehydrated almonds?
Yes
DONT do this unless you have a really strong and big processor. I ruined mine(a small cheap one) and i was resting it in the meantime... :((
Is that a cup of almonds?
Isn't cashews cooked before taking them out of their shell?
I thought if you didnt soak and dehydrate your raw nuts, they were dangerous and could hurt you digestive system?
Nancy Smith soaked is easier to digest, but unsoaked won't hurt you, just not as easy to digest
ok
