I been in the industry over a decade mostly working on the ground, brought DJI RSC3 PRO. I havent set it up yet, it been days, been busy. The point while I was doing research for a good gimbal, I need one that can go in and out with me as and when I need to hide the gimbal or push it to the extreme when weather is turning conditions. By all that standard, I ask around the shops in Singapore. (I base here) For this DJI Model that I felt was the best. DJI RONIN-M. That Gimbal to me was so stable to the point that I totally adore. Years later, the batteries dying, I check with shop in Singapore, they dont carry that, my mind was thinking, this is so good that no distributor want to bring in to sell? because it hardly spoilt is it? hahah. The gimbal stop production. Thus now watching this... I had a 20 mm sony and now thinking of the 24-70 that was recommended. on my Sony A7iv
The lidar… could you test with the RS2? Officially is not supported, but DJI also says the Lidar works independently from the gimbal… so is kinda dubious
I like your videos, they are very usefull. I have the A7V, RS3 Pro and the Ninja V, but i can only start the video on the Gimbal withe the record button, when i press the record button again the video doesn`t stop. Do you have any idea why this is happening? I would like when you make a video with all your config. The Sony is conected via USB to the Gimbal and without the Ninja V everthing is working fine.
Do you recommend the RS3 over the Crane 2S for the A7 IV? I recently purchased the 2S on sale for $279 and I'm wondering if it's a better value than the RS 3 for $550.
That’s a tough one. Build quality, algorithm, auto unlocking, video transmission is much better on the DJI RS3. Whether it’s worth the price difference is all up to your budget
Would like to add the RS3 on top of my RS2 as well as the accessories all same ! The auto focus in RS3 seems better than last version as well Thank you for your review brother.
How do you get it to fully lock up? I’m pretty pissed I bought the rs3 pro and it doesn’t even fully lock up. I reached out to DJI and they said It’s designed like that. In all the reviews I saw nobody said anything about the arm not folding up completely.
Hey Jason! Great videos, thanks so much for the down low. I'm still confused on one point though... the DJI website does not list the Fx6 as a compatible camera. Will the lidar and auto focus for manual lenses still work for Fx6?
Great video as always! This question may be stupid, but is it possible to use the Sony A7s3 w/heavier lenses like the Sigma 24-70 on the RS3 Pro? I'm thinking about future proofing myself and buying the RS3 Pro. I currently have the RSC2 and it seems when I use my current camera and lens set up, I get error messages saying that the front payload is overloaded and/or that the gimbal can't auto tune when locked, even though it is clearly unlocked. This causes a constant auto tune timeout and is frustrating when I'm shooting weddings and have to opt not to even use it because of this.
Hey Jason, I wonder whether you can make a video about how to balance the fx6 on the dji rs3 Pro. I tried a few time to balance it according to the official dji video for teaching people how to balance their camera on their first time using the gimbal but it doesn't work on the fx6.
Hi, if the sony a74 isn't supported with the ronin rs 3pro. How is it possible to use it? I am new to this so I want to be sure that I don't buy a lemon.
Hi jason! Thank you so much for this impressing Video. Do you think you could provide us with a video on how to properly Setup the Rs3pro with a fx6 in terms of balancing and where two mount monitors etc. ? Your setup looks so neat on your videos!. It is my first Gimbal ever and I do own a fx6 for 1.5 yrs now so I am still not that confident on how to balance etc. Thank you so much for your help!
Hi Jason. I have been using DJI gimbals, since the first baby one. I now have the RS 2 kitted out with side handles and second control handle. As well as the remote mounting kit. Love it, especially with my A7 IV (I first bought it to use with my RX10 but was wary of zooming that long lens). I have rigged my stripped down FX6 on the RS 2, but would like the extra capacity of the RS 3 Pro, so that I can add more to the camera, mics etc.
Love your videos that's what convinced me to get the sony a7iv. Please can you help to setting it up on streamlabs obs with a fe 24-105mm lens for streaming
am just an enthusiast, not pro at all. I use an a7iii with Tamron lenses… plus, I rarely use manual focus lenses. With this in mind, I simply won’t need RS3 Pro. However, I really really want the Transmission system and the active track. For this, I understand I can use the Transmission system along with RS3 and that should be enough. I will be losing out on LiDar support. I’m tempted by the carbon fiber body, and I may find the smaller handle slightly less comfortable. But what else will I be losing if I go with the RS3 and not the RS3 Pro?
Aloha Jason! I just got my rs3, and I'm trying to connect it to my a7siii, so I can control the settings right from the gimbal. It doesn't seem to work, although DJI's website says the camera is compatible to do this. Do you have any insight? I've watched some videos on how to do it for the rs2, and thought it would be the same, but still no dice. Do you have any ideas? The rs3 only came with a USB-C to USB-C, do I need a different cable?
Would you mind sharing the millimeter distance from the LiDAR to the A7iV sensor? From the hot shoe I just got this thing and I don’t have anything to measure it with and since you use the A7iv all the time I thought you might know off the top your head. Thanks in advance.
I ordered the RS3 Pro. I haven’t had a gimbal and felt like it was time to get one. Strong enough for my Komodo and C70 and has the Tilta ecosystem to make it more functional. Excited to give it whirl
Great video. Do you have the atomos ninja v connected to the gimbal/ camera? I'm interested to find out the name of the part you you've used to attach the monitor to the dual grip. Would be great to hear from you. Thanks.
Do you know if the RS3 Pro has the sensitivity setting? My DJI Ronin S has follow speed, deadband, and sensitivity, but when I tried the RS2 it only had follow speed and deadband (I heard the SC2 has it, so I wondered if they brought it back)
I wish someone would do a direct comparison video of the Feiyutech Scorp and this DJI RS3. You made great reviews of both of these gimbals but a direct side by side comparing the two would be amazing
So the RS3 works with the Sony A7iv? On their website it doesn’t have it in the compatibility list.. but I want to purchase it for the auto lock so I hope it is conpatible.

... and without one single word about portrait mode shooting. Can you switch to portrait mode with one button press without dismounting the camera from a gimbal ? How stable is?
Been steady rockin the Ronin S for years until the rs3. None of them had enough features for me to feel like it was time to ditch ole faithful. But I do believe the time has come
Just wondering if you have the same problem, I just unboxed mine this week and did a software update on the RS3, I connected my A7iv via Bluetooth, but the record button doesn’t respond, It says it’s connected but it won’t record with the Record button, I do all the steps right, first turn on the RS3 followed by my camera, 🧐

Great review! Looks like the RS3Pro got most things covered for me! It's not only a camera stabilizer but an all-in-one solution to most of my filmmaking needs.
I wonder if the RS3 pro can hold Canon 90D with Sigma 50-100mm f1.8 art lens, it's a pretty heavy combo, anyone know? Thanks
Love ur content. Hallo from Dili East Timor
Thank you for watching from East Timor
Hey Buddy awesome gimble!
Thanks Steve
DJI just can't stop impressing us with how frequent they come up with upgrades and new stuff!
They are just gods
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Also I wanna thank you for enlightening me with crop lenses and A7IV. I'm probably buying A1 soon along with my A7SIII but would buy some low-profile APS-C zoom lenses to film outside the country and don't want to attract attention with a massive lens or gear and trying to look more like a tourist! You just happen to provide honest and great reviews about mostly all the gear I care about. Keep up the great work, mate!
i was about trying to spend money on RSC2 since it's quite cheap
now i'm interesting to RS3
Certainly is a very good upgrade
JM always coming in with the best reviews
Thank you my friend
