When I was in 8th grade, my dad mentioned he was married to someone prior to my mom. The marriage didn’t last long. I was shocked. All I cared about was whether or not they had kids, which they didn’t. That was the end of it. I had more maturity in 8th grade with finding out about my dads first marriage than she does in her 30s. K Dudley, I agree 100%. Whitney and her mum have a relationship that's quite often more like a friendship. I have been seriously shocked in the past about some of the things that they say to each other, but at the same time, I think they are hilarious! I just would never have the same sort conversations with my mum.
Babs cracks me up, most of the time, she's like a Southern Belle, but every so often, that naughty side of her comes out!

I was 10 when I found out that my mom had been married before and my older sister was actually my half sister, we have different dads. My dad adopted her when she was 5. I was fine because my sister will always be my sister. My entire family, including my Das’s side knew about it. It just wasn’t important then and still isn’t.
If your dad adopted your older sister, then legally she is as much your sister as a biological sister. You are sisters.
