From all the dashboard clips I watch, Denver has always been the one city that intrigues me the most. Videos like your's make me desperate to visit the city someday
Nice video Kyle as always. After watching many of your timelapse videos one thing has stood out to me is how many RV drivers are hanging on by a thread. The timelapse really make their bobbing and weaving stand out. Safe travels my friend...
Awesome drive! I'm a Colorado native but that Denver traffic kills me everytime. Thank you for taking us through there and further out! It looked like a beautiful day
I visit Denver for about a week every year. I use I-25 in many of these spots during my stays. Never knew the I-70/I-25 interchange was called the Mouse Trap, but it is a fitting title! Driving south through there from Cheyenne one time was one of my worst driving experiences ever :D. Thanks for sharing this!
It got the nickname from a radio traffic reporter during the 60's who said the interchange had so many twists and turns, it would trap the runnings of a mouse. The interchange was pretty gnarly before it was completely torn out and rebuilt in the late 80's - early 90's.
Just knowing that I had the chance to go to Denver at least 15 years ago and I didn't get to go, at least I see from the beautiful videos where I could be today😔😔😔
Good one as usual! And an interesting drive up the I-25. May I suggest next time you're in Denver, visit the Wings over the Rockies Air Museum? It's on what was Lowry AFB, and among other exhibits, it has a B-52, F-14, F-4, F-111, B-1, and even a 3/4 scale X-Wing Fighter.
Thank you Matt! I love visiting Denver so next time I’m around I’ll definitely considering visiting those places, maybe even make a video out of it! Always appreciate your comments :)
As we drive on I-25 in the Front Range, we can see eastbound routes towards Limon, CO, I mean "We don't talk about Limon." Control City Freak won't like that and he suggests to sign Kansas instead.
Weld county has changed quite dramatically since when I lived there for 9 years (back in the '90's). You could smell Greeley long before you'd arrive in Greeley. I know, I know... Old joke that I keep repeating... But it's true. 😂
The TREX project of I-25 is great, but what if it's interesting to use the express toll lanes north of Denver? After all, it's best to use those only for rush hour and heavy traffic.
I have the pass for Colorado’s express lanes despite not being a state resident. I’m there quite often and the traffic is horrible plus I can get discounts on E-470 which is extremely expenses without the pass.
The TREX project may have been named after the fact that the Denver area (as well as the rest of the eastern slope of the Rockies from about New Mexico to Alberta) was once home to T. rexes. So yeah, if you want to see T. rexes, take your time machine to Denver (or maybe Cheyenne, Billings, or Calgary), that is, unless your time machine can travel to different locations as well.
I think it’s named for the fact that it was a Transportation Expansion project? I could be wrong but you’re idea sounds cooler in retrospective so, yeah. Lol
Only in the US do you get movements where a county wants to switch states. First Eastern Oregon trying to join Idaho, now Wade County trying to join Wyoming? The polarization of US politics is gonna be the death of the country.
Seeing how how CDOT modernized I-25 in the Denver Metro, I'm being reminded at how little they done to widen I-70 in the city- which is still dated looking in comparison. I highly doubt that Weld County's attempt to leave Colorado for Wyoming will succeed. If it does, the population boost should be enough to give the state an extra Congressional seat- esp given that the state only has one Congressman in the House of Representatives!

I hope you get the chance to visit!
Thanks Kyle... Love to travel vicariously with you.
Thank you for watching!

Thank you Denny! I always get nervous around those vehicles lol especially semis!

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the video! :)
Brings back memories from my few years living in Cheyenne and taking I-25 to Denver many times. Can’t wait to move back out west.
Awesome! Glad my videos give you those memories! Always enjoy reading comments like this. :)

Thanks for tuning in! A fitting nickname for the interchange indeed!

Great job Kyle

Nice ride through Denver along interstate 25
Glad you enjoyed it!
I-25 traffic sucks. Glad you hit it at a good time.
Denver has traffic as bad as LA in my experiences there.

I just watched your 2011 Denver video then I saw this well done.
I can’t even watch my older videos they are so bad lol.
@@InterstateKyle I don't think so it's just the newer ones are better.

Would you say it’s changed for the better or worse?
@@InterstateKyle Better... It learned how to be a real city all of a sudden. 😂
Not sure how you managed a time without full bumper to bumper, road raging traffic like is the norm here

When are you gonna tour the Yellowstone park? It's awesome!
I haven’t been there since 2014
@InterstateKyle Interesting, because a lot of people went to the Yellowstone Park and it is quite attractive to go there.

@@InterstateKyle Yeah, that's likely the official name, but I have to imagine they chose it with "Tyrannosaurus rex" in mind.
Thoughts on Limon

The polarization of US politics is gonna be the death of the country.
The US is very politically divided and it’s such a sad thing to see.
Back to August/September travel 2021 after a long break of being in June 2021 interesting!!!
There will be some flip flopping around between June/July and September for the rest of the season.
If Weld County joins Wyoming, the state will still only have one representative in Congress.
That’s about right. Montana is the least populated state with an extra congressional seat.

I-25 in Denver is the only thing I like about Denver’s freeways lol.
