The Last Ranger is probably the best bet to get it you want to save money. It has more polished animations and stuff to do compared to the first game while only being about two bucks extra
Automaton Lung is now on sale. It went down a whole dollar to 6.99. Can't pass it up at that price
Harold’s Walk is also on sale
I saw that Automaton Lung was added to Steam late last year, gives me hope that some of these devs will put these games on other platforms.
Additional notes:
Nintendo's 3D Classics line [3D Excitebike, Kirby's Adventure, Kid Icarus etc] is WAY more than just NES games in 3D, Kirby's slowdown is fixed and Kid Icarus' jump physics have been tweaked, while Excitebike was totally overhauled and plays more like a remake that keeps the original visual design.
Silver Falls is a really interesting one-man indie series, and the choice to release most of them on a dying shop was intentional and ties into the meta themes of the overarching story. As games though... they're not great, and poorly optimized.
Automaton Lung has a comprehensive PC port, and the other two games by this developer, jokey memey games Harold's Walk and Harold Reborn, are likely to get PC ports as well.
It's a good idea to prioritize games that utilize the 3DS hardware and can't be played through emulation, most 3DS games can be enjoyed on Citra but there's a handful that require the gyro or the 3D or the stylus or the camera.
Another thing is to not waste money on Virtual Console releases, since they're ridiculously easy to emulate. HOWEVER, there are some retro remasters like the Nintendo 3D Classics line and the SEGA 3D line that are worth a look, especially the SEGA line since they add in more new features and a couple of the arcade games even have gyro.

The two games for Phoenix Wright are not exclusives for 3DS, as they are and still will be available to play on IOS and Android. So if any of you miss them on the E-shop don't worry because you can still play them on mobile where both are 90 cents each.

The E-shop might be closing,but I might not have found and subscibed to your channel if it wasn't. Some great picks in there, I highly recommend the Denpa Men, brilliant concept, and go with the 3rd game for someone unsure.

Glad to see Dementium get some love. I ended up learning about some games I’d want to pick up.
I’ll add Silver Falls 3 Down Stars to this list. When it first released it had some crashes so reviews were not great. It’s patched up now and it’s a good game. It gives me Silent Hill 1 vibes and does not hold your hand throughout the story.

No, the only way is to link your 3ds Nintendo network id to your switch eshop account. Add funds to your switch account will be shared by your 3ds
I don't have a Switch, but I can add funds through the Nintendo website which is linked to my 3DS and Nintendo ID.
