Please, do not call Nicalis developers of Cave Story or other games. They are a publisher, and their practices are quite predatory. They buy other peoples' IPs (which is okay) and then erase the author's name pretending they were the developer all along (definitely not okay). The author of Cave Story, Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya made the game single-handedly (Ika-chan is also his game), and he is a genius. Nicalis used his legal inexperience, and as a result, quite a few people now think that Cave Story is a Nicalis game.
I had no idea about that! Good to know, and wow, NICALIS is sounding awful now, I had them at high regard. When researching for this video a lot of games are slated as published AND developed by them, but I guess that's not really true, if they are stealing the games as made by them and not the actual dev. Disgusting really. Thank you so much for this info, it may actually make a good topic for a video, will dig into this more to see if I can make a video on it. Thanks for watching Kamereon!

Another gem, Arthur! The work you put into researching these 3DS titles really shows in your videos! I will be picking up a few of your recommendations starting with Weapon Shop de Omasse. Looks just strange enough for me to enjoy!
Hi Tim! Thank you so much :D! Agreed, Weapon Shop de Omasse hits that creative + weird sweet spot for me too, lol. Its a solid game, as long as you dont mind reading a lot. Thanks for your constant support, Tim!
Dude I have been watching videos of 3DS "Hidden Gems" for years and its always the same stuff I mean I've probably seen hundreds of games and 50+ videos on the topic and yet you somehow managed to show me games I have never heard of before so great job! Automaton Lung looks really interesting impressive that it's on the 3DS.
Happy to hear that even to someone as into the topic as you I was able to provide new information! That's the whole premisse of the channel, so it means a lot to read this. Thanks for taking the time to write it! :D

These videos are so well done! I add at least 3-4 games to my Wish List every time you put out a video. lol I really hope they do a big 3DS game sale before the eShop closes, because I won't be able to buy them all at full price! I also need to get a bigger SD card now, because my old one isn't going to cut it.
Thank you Aaron! :D Mission accomplished if you are adding 3-4 games per video like this! Dude me too, really hoping for a Nintendo Sale on the 3DS and Wii U. I fear they won't do it, even though they would make good money, only to avoid the "bad" press of remembering people they are taking away so many games. They really shouldn't, people get it I think, hope they see that too. Thanks for watching Aaron!
Great video as always, I hope it helps more people discover these 3DS titles. Some of the last few games on my buy list here, Delusions, Dot Runner, Tank Troopers, Yo-kai Blasters. Unfortunately, Automaton Lung and OhNo are not available here in the UK. I do have the other games from Lung's developer though (Harold's Walk and Harold Reborn). Bought 1001 and Ikachan cheap on the Japanese eShop (alas, as I noted to another commenter, the latter is not on the European eShop), then found both had an English option, which was a bit of a surprise. Unfortunately, a couple of great shooters on the 3DS never left Japan. One notably title was the 3DS port of the Mega Drive/Genesis game Thunder Force III, which was exclusive to the third Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives volume. There was also a spin-off of the arcade/DreamCast shooter Radirgy. There was also the excellent DSiWare shooter Sagittarius-A-Star. Last time I recall seeing Layton vs Wright with any kind of sale in the UK eShop was in October of 2018, and that was a use gold coins to buy a voucher on MyNintendo for a limited time kind of deal.
Thanks starlac! cool that Ikachan and 1001 Spikes have english options on the japanese version! and wow, plenty of shooters as japan only 3DS titles, such a shame they were not ported over, some of those sound awesome! The 3DS makes for a great shooter console, shame that it was not used for that nearly enough. I remember the MyNintendo deals for games, got a few that way, it sucks that it stopped and that Nintendo is not doing any sales whatsoever... Thanks for wtahcing and commenting starlac, appreciate you!

Awesome video, your dedication to digging up every last gem on the eShops is astounding!! Von Sottendorf looks pretty funny and I didn't know about Ikachan! I really wish Capcom would port the 3DS exclusive Ace Attorney games to modern consoles... Is it still possible to actually buy games on the 3DS eShop?
Thanks makreel! Gad you like it! It is still possible to buy games on the eshop. The only thing we cant do is add funds directly to it, but we can still add funds INdirectly through the Switch or Nintendo's website by linking the 3DS account to the Nintendo account used nowadays on the switch. Yeah, its weird that all these great 3DS Ace Attorney games never came to other consoles, only mobile.

Just an FYI about Cave Story, Guxt, and Ikachan: Nicalis is the publisher for developer Daisuke Amaya's games. Ikachan, Guxt, and Cave Story are also actually originally freeware PC games. You can just download them, but you can buy to help support the developer and have copies on other consoles.
Hey Dan! Yeah, I've been learning a lot about these games and others publoshed by Nicalis. Apparently Nicalis is not a very good company, they engaged in shady practices about rights and credits to the games. I am thinking of doing a video on this later. Thanks for this comment, Dan!
Thanks for another great video. Ikachan and 1001 Spikes are not listed in my eShop (I live in germany). I don't know if they didnt't release them in europe or if its just germany. Some publishers often skip the german eShops because they need to extra pay the german age rating agency (we are not using the PEGI rating, which is used all over europe). ~ kind regards ~
Well, tell you what I'll have a look now for those games. Often or not they change the name for Europe. I live in the UK ya see. Edit: Ikachan isn't coming up for me either and the version used in reviews is NA so likely not released here sadly. Edit 2: Well, I'm sorry to say it but 1001 spikes is listed on my country's eshop so I suppose they skipped out on Germany. Sorry about that but I hope this helps
My pleasure Sechsundachtzig! People already answered your doubt it seems :D. Did not know that Germany had a different rating to PEGI! I've seen the different logo in the corner, but I assumed it was just german PEGI, not a whole different one. Thanks for that info! :D And for watching! Hey, thanks for another great video. Really been helping me find games I never knew about. I didn't have a 3DS or wiiu in their prime, so I'm playing catch up. Just a suggestion for the channel also, have you thought about looking for help, specifically in the research department? It might help out overall if you could find some like minded people that are willing to volunteer their time to help research and try some of the games, even if it's just a couple here and there.
Hi Sebastian! Glad to hear you are enjoying the channel! Yeah, ideally I would love to have help in the research and video capturing parts, problem is that I don't know anyone willing to do that at the moment. But I have good news, the quantity of videos is about to increase soon, because my work hours will increase next year as soon as my 2 year old begins school in February. But for sure, in the future, specially if things improve, I will be lokking into getting extra hands. Thanks for the suggestion and interest, Sebastian! Sorry for the delay in responding.
As always Arthur, thank you for the content. Have you looked into the Sungrand Studio games which are set to be the last digital releases for 3ds and wii u? They are rather good.
Hi Jesse! Yes, the Silver Falls games right? I'm looking into those, one came out very recently too. I'm waiting for all of them to come out to make 1 video with all at once, but if it gets too close to the stores closing I'll mention the ones I can. Thanks for watching and for this comment!
@@FromTheVoidGames yes the Silver Falls games. Your reasoning makes sense. I know Jarrell really overworked himself, so I just figure help him get back some of his investment before the shops close. Also, I wanted to mention Kokuga from last time is from the same developer as Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun.
By the way, just to mention, you might as well just print off AR cards for Kid Icarus Uprising since it'll work just as well. Hell, maybe Nintendo might even offer that ability like with that large ar card club nintendo reward
Yeah I learned about that recently! Am even considering selling my boxed copy in the future, if I need the cash to keep the dream going, lol. Thanks for watching Cacao!
@@FromTheVoidGames Yeah, ngl, I'm considering selling my 32x which I got last Christmas since that'll be huge funds for the 3ds. I'm guessing Auromaton Lung won't come out in Europe since NoE refuse to even consider adding anything new. They won't even allow Sungrand to patch Silver Falls in this territory.

It's a shame that Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright has to be completed before one can access and download the DLC, because I can't justify playing through the game yet before I've played a few Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright games individually. If it turns out that one can't download the DLC after the 27th of this month (March), then I might have to miss out on the DLC. I can understand if people want to quickly play through the game to get the DLC, though.
Yep! Not 100% sure the DLC is going to be removed as its a free DLC, so it's on a grey area between DLC and update, but I bet it will be removed, so better be safe than sorry. Thanks for watching Dominic!

Anyone know where to get these eshop only titles to emulate them or run them on my DS through an SD card? I found a DS emulator called Citra- but can't find this title The Starship Damfrey anywhere
Yes, they removed that option recently. But you can still add funds to your 3DS Nintendo ID through Nintendo's website: my.nintendo.com . To do so you will have to create a Nintendo account (its different from the 3DS Nintendo ID) if you haven't done so yet, which is the account you use if you have a Switch, and then link the Nintendo ID with the Nintendo Account. Then all funds added to the account through the site will also be available in the Nintendo ID on your 3DS. It works I do it all the time. Thanks for watching infinityDuck! let me know if you need help in this.
I'm definitely making Yo-Kai Watch 3 next to buy. I liked the first one, liked Fleshy Souls much more than the first and here in Australia, the physical copy of 3 goes for around AUD $800 on ebay, not joking. Last time I checked the only Australian copies I saw were $800. 800. DOLLARS. That's the same price as a ps5 here in Australia. Ridiculous.
Wow, 800 dollars is crazy, even worse than here in Brazil. I found one for about 300 dollars which is the price charting price more or less. I still have to get the expensive Yo-Kai games digitally. I enjoyed it for the most part. Only a couple small frustrations, like grinding for specific material occasionally, and the combat eventually gets a little stale. But it was fun overall

My pleasure Sechsundachtzig! People already answered your doubt it seems :D. Did not know that Germany had a different rating to PEGI! I've seen the different logo in the corner, but I assumed it was just german PEGI, not a whole different one. Thanks for that info! :D And for watching! Stay tuned for more soon, next will be DSiWare games!
Yo-Kai Watch Blasters costs an arm & a leg much like Psychic Specters & Yo-Kai Watch 3 nowadays...
Steel empire is like a hidden 3D classics title. Its 16 euros in europe though, but still got it. It looks amazing and so is the soundtrack.
they way you say "this is from the void!" im always like yeah man! the void baby!!
Amazing work! Thanks so much for your videos. I completely appreciate your attention to detail, down to the blocks size of games.
Keep up the good work. I'm rooting for you
Thank you so much, Kill_Repeat! Appreciate the support! :D
I had Von Suttenburg wishlisted so great to hear about it a little more. It looks like I'll be picking it up.
I guess I'll see though since if I can get a part time job I might not need to. Ngl, starting off kinda sucks because you do sort of need connections otherwise employers won't accept ya 'cause you've got no experience. I also don't live in a city so there's less opportunities
I'm guessing Auromaton Lung won't come out in Europe since NoE refuse to even consider adding anything new. They won't even allow Sungrand to patch Silver Falls in this territory.
You truly are king of kings.
Thank you Soynereh! :D I don't feel like one but I appreciate the sentiment :D
I Would love to see one of these videos for DsiWare games
Awesome! It's coming soon! It's the next on this series, it will be the video right after the next one. I already put a good amount of work into its already insanely promissing :D. Thanks for watching grecidueye!
Can you make hidden gems for ps vita or psp? You have awesome taste in games.. Your new subscriber here. ❤
Hi Ian! Welcome aboard!! Thanks for the sub! I absolutely can, those are in the plans for sure! I made a small one for the psp ( ruclips.net/video/-_FlUdXmyco/видео.html) and I have a series covering Vita and PS3 games mixed (ruclips.net/p/PLyq09yVT7fr8zBojmanqXw1r9F8IHi8Qz), but I definetly will make videos focusing on the Vita and on the PSP in the future! Thanks for the suggestion Ian! Appreciated!
@@FromTheVoidGames thank you I will definitely watch your videos! And i am very excited to see your game list on ps vita and psp. I am a fan of those handhelds ..
important question, how many blocks does the layton vs phoenix wright dlc take
up??
Hi Ethan. I also couldn't find that information, but if it's like the other professor layton games it's just 1 block of space, that functions like an unlock permition you download. I am replaying the entire game right now to be 100% of this, coincidentally, so Ill have a final answer for you soon. Ill come back to this comment once Im done. Thanks for watching!
@@FromTheVoidGames thank u so much, i'm trying to decide if i want to speed run the game before the eshop closes for dlc or to just use the blocks for a dif game lol
Very well done.... I'm following cuz I still have a lot of space on my 3dx
Thanks Deezy! Welcome aboard! Next on this series I will be covering the DSiWare games available on the 3DS, which are insanely great hidden gems, so stay tuned! Thanks for watching!
thank you for your hard work!!
My pleasure, katya! Thanks for watching!
Great content buddy
It's a shame that Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright has to be completed before one can access and download the DLC, because I can't justify playing through the game yet before I've played a few Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright games individually.
If it turns out that one can't download the DLC after the 27th of this month (March), then I might have to miss out on the DLC.
I can understand if people want to quickly play through the game to get the DLC, though.
Layton VS Phoenix has DLC?! I need to finish the Game then before the E-shop closes!
Yep! Not 100% sure the DLC is going to be removed as its a free DLC, so it's on a grey area between DLC and update, but I bet it will be removed, so better be safe than sorry. Thanks for watching Dominic!
Well my WiFi went down and I can't get my phone data hotspot to connect to the 3ds. Hopefully it's up by tomorrow or I miss out on a few of these jems.
P.S all the ace attorney games are on sale most expensive is $5
really wish i could play automaton lung on 3ds but its not available in the uk :(
Thanks, man!
Cib copies of uprising in pal territories are really cheap.
you really are the Mark Ruffalo of video games hehe
Don’t forget to download all the demos for free!!
Anyone know where to get these eshop only titles to emulate them or run them on my DS through an SD card? I found a DS emulator called Citra- but can't find this title The Starship Damfrey anywhere
ofc buying
I can’t add my credit card to buy the games eshop
Ridiculous.
And I haven't yet found it anywhere else but eBay
Wow, 800 dollars is crazy, even worse than here in Brazil. I found one for about 300 dollars which is the price charting price more or less. I still have to get the expensive Yo-Kai games digitally. Would love a sale on those, but it doesn't seem likely at all, sadly. Thanks for watching Cardman! Stay tuned for more soon, next on this series will be part 7 on DSiWare games!
@@FromTheVoidGames Nice! I have most of the DSiWare that I wanted, missed out on a couple PopCap games before they got delisted but it's fine cause I either have their PC or DS counterparts.
Should still be an interesting video though!
Ever Oasis is a lot of fun.... Radio Hammer is way too hard and completely worthless at least for me - no way in hell I would even get 1/10 of what is needed for even stage 1 - stick to the other Rhythm games like Rhythm Thief or Elite Beat Agents which are actually fun.
Ever oasis is great as a demo. The physical full game not so much.
I only played the very beginning and liked very much, hope I like it all the way. Thanks for watching Kosteri!
I enjoyed it for the most part. Only a couple small frustrations, like grinding for specific material occasionally, and the combat eventually gets a little stale. But it was fun overall
I have the physical version & I love Ever Oasis. It's one of my favorite 3DS games.
