As a local from the big island this is a great video! I haven’t been back to some of these beaches since I was a kid so I’m getting some nostalgia watching this 😊
Hardly mentioned Mauna Kea beach😅it is one of the best if not the best on the big island. Kua Bay and Makalawena and the other she liked that are part of the state park are the best..in my opinion.
It was hard to see & swim at all the beaches! The only reason we found so many beaches was from hiking 180 miles around the Island. Mauna Kea is very beautiful! Next time we'll spend more time there too! :)
Very well done video. Though we had found most of the secluded spots - Wrong ! Now we need to go back to BI and see some of the ones you mentioned. Wish we were in such great shape as you guys..!!
I live here and have camped at several beaches mentioned here -- in a few cases, over 30 years ago. I have watched dozens of videos on Big Island beaches. Some are excellent, but this is by far the best and most comprehensive. Now I know where I want to go and re-visit on a weekday next week! Mahalo. Subscribed.
Great video, so many beaches I didn't visit last month. Going to the Green Sand Beach is an adventure in itself. The big island is awesome for adventure or relaxation or both. Miss Kona a lot, will be back there maybe in two years.
I was disappointed at this beach. The snorkeling was pretty good but that was about it in my opinion. Mauna Kea is the best up there but parking is very limited. Hapuna and this 69 are good but there is a reason that big fancy resort is just a few miles up the road from Hapuna and 69.😊
Nice stuff. Brought back lots of memories. My wife and I camped at Punuluu on our honeymoon 35 years ago. Looks like nothing's changed. And I mean that in a good way. 👍
Thank you. Punuluu is such a special beach. This was our first time visiting, but I hope we can go back someday and revisit all of our favorite places. :)
