When I saw Tom Rush I remembered back to to 80's and meeting you a Walker School when you visited your sister Susan. So nice to hear your music again, Sister Maureen
Man, I wish he'd come around here and perform! My dad used to sing his songs a lot when I was a kid, and finally in my teens Mom gave me her two albums (and by gave, I mean I took them to college with me and she didn't notice until taking her Beatle albums back about eight years later and gave her consent on letting me keep them...ahem...) It'd be fun to see him in concert! Nice hat, too :D
MICHIGAN - you have to come back to perform in Michigan !! I enjoyed you so much at The Ark, in Ann Arbor. Hey, If I'm gonna be stuck in Michigan for the rest of my miserable life, you can at least enliven one evening of that by coming here again !! Please?
We could use your music, your company over here in lovely Cornwall in England .... you would go down a treat here that is for sure !!! Loving your music ..... your messages ! :) We looked in the mirror, we are in the poor category but we are rich in all the right ways - door is open to you any time you want to gig over here cross the big old pond !
" i have never met a free trader yet, that knows right from wrong, they only know about the power to exploit, and the riches that go along with that power."
I really don't like the generalisations posted so far. I know some poor people and they are a**-holes (out to get all they can any way they can). I know poor people who'd give you the shirt off their back. I know some rich people who are a**-holes (they'd do anybody to make a buck) and I know rich people who are very kind, helpful and just have a great head for making money. Just as it ain't what you do it's the way that you do it, it ain't what you're worth but how you got it that counts.
Sorry Lester, you missed the point. He's questioning the system that you and much of the world take for granted. No wonder you can't see it; it's the air you breathe, the water you swim in.
Enjoy your songs and performance. Saw you in Fort Lauderdale BUT please don't sing songs like "kKnow what's wromg with America". Not true we need to help!! THANKS
Great as usual Tom! Good message too. Thanks!

Kudos to Josh & Tom
Once again, as for decades now, Tom finding wonderful material from other songwriters and making it his own. Thanks Tom!
I saw him do this song last night. He's just as amazing as ever and still tells it like it is - with a great sense of humor!
I really enjoyed this song. Amazing after all these years that I don't know Tom Rush's music. I believe I'm going to correct this right now.

Great Song by Tom Rush!
After years of listening to neocons yap about "Supply Side" economics, it takes a Harvard man, Tom Rush, to make it easy to understand.

Just another reminder that one shouldn't rely on musicians for political or economic analysis. There's a reason they're musicians.
