- Hi Gang,
I’m embarking on yet another a new adventure on / tomrush , a series of weekly online offerings - kitchen-table videos of songs and stories and more. Since they’ll be coming out of my kitchen in Rockport, Mass, I thought I’d call them “Rockport Sundays”, after that instrumental I recorded way back when.
I hope you will join me.

A MASTERPIECE!
They say your memory is the second thing to go. I can't remember what the first thing was!
I doooo love this song!!! Love everything Tom does!! I’ve seen him three times in the past five years, and he is still awesome!! 💚💚💚🙏🏻🌎☮️🇺🇸🌊☘️
This is finally a song written just for me! As soon as I remember the name of it, I'm going to play it again!

This song never gets old!!!
I heard this song a while ago.... I don't remember when, or where. but absolutely love it
If anyone gives this clip a bad comment it is only because they are too young to appreciate the humor. I can't tell you how many times we've searched for the cordless phone!!!
lol
I won't go quite so far as to say Tom's the world's best entertainer, but there ain't none any better. The singing, playing, story telling and mischievous grin, ... he has it all!
This is what the young think they know Old school. It is not age. it is life. today it is i am and yet they have no idea. Thanks very true and thanks for the reminder. Very Good
Just now got wind of this. Tom Rush, you are the bees knees. Thank you for all your years of music!!
The audience reaction says it all, ... they're lovin' it! Thanks, Tom, for a great
reminder.
I put this on my favorites list so I can "remember" who sings and and where it is lol. /hugs TY Tom Rush.
This is the first time I've heard Tom sing and I sure can relate to this...I have friends who are like this and I'm, going to forward it to one who plays the guitar so he can sing it at the next gathering...Peter Dorsett Sacramento California Republic
This is a great song and really relatable if I remember this song later I will add it to my playlists and show my friends!
Came across this completely by random lol I’m not disappointed
I was at this concert! Loved it! Such wonderful memories.
I used to listen to this song years ago and laugh. Not really laughing now but it's nice to know I'm not alone... it would be nice if we could all go back in time...Someday we will.!!!
Greetings from Sunny Dublin sunnyinthehills. The sixties (what a wonderful time to grow up in)is still alive in the hearts of all who lived through it. I am still a child of the sixties and proud of it, and if we can get more of the younger generations interested in the music and legends of this time, like Tom Rush, Then maybe, just maybe, we can halt the fall down the slippery slope this present generation seem to be heading for.
No regrets
Teddy O'Neill
Every old timer's theme song. thanks Tom. great moment.
+Len Hummel You'll be one of those some day too......

The Remember Song speaks loud and clear to me too, Len.
One of the first albums I bought was by Tom Rush, "Ladies Love Outlaws", 1974. Back then you could listen to albums before you bought them, and this one is still a favourite, caught in memories of my youth. The old stuff seems to stick; the new, not so much.
Namaste and care,
mhikl
My name is Gwendolyn! And I can't believe that ANYONE would forget a woman named Gwendolyn! No regrets...
I have been a fan of Tom Rush since back in the 60's I love his music. He is a very talented singer, musician and song-writer.
Fun song. Great ending.
Hello Nan, How are you doing?

Hello Linda, How are you doing?
I loved it. Since I'm in my 60's I can relate to the song very well.
I heard this on PHC Saturday....really cute! Sadly I could relate to a lot of it...LOL!
Adding to favorites...
Awesome song! Love Tom Rush.
Love this song...love Tom Rush!!!
Priceless !❤
He was at Houston's 'Texas Opry House' back in the mid-70s, onstage all by himself, broke a string while playing. He just said, "oops, I'll replace that one. It's easy when you know how. You can just talk quietly among yourselves while I fix this." And he fixed it quick then he continued the song where he left off. Amazing when you know how.
I love this and never tire of hearing it
I was a big fan of Tom in the 1960s -he was not well-known over here, a very under-rated talent, looking pretty good for his age -great funny song that we can all identify with -well done Tom !
Love this...laughter and self discovery in the same time frame. Thanks Tom
Love this song and .....it is so oooooo true!
This is definitely my song. I can relate so much. Great song by Tom Rush. Reminds me of Arlo Guthrie's sense of humor.
What a wonderful song by a wonderful singer, have all of Toms albums from the early days, merrimac county etc, and seeing this video now only goes to prove the old theory, success is fleeting, but talent is everlasting. thanks for posting this. Teddy O Neill Dublin Ireland

Tom, Thank you, You're a wonderful representative of the human race...I've been to the Deering Town Hall...and lived in Weare...I've been a fan since the late 60's..Keep on keepin on, my brother....love is.
Brilliant.
Hillarious!!!!
helaine625, many thanks for the kind words...it's songs like this ( and singers like Tom) who kind of smooth out those road bumps in our lives with a smile and a laugh. Like "they" say, "Don't criticize another man until you've walked a mile in his shoes - then when you DO criticize him...you're a mile away and you've got his shoes!" :-) Ya gotta keep a smile on your faith... ;-)
Very good and very true !!
this is so excellent i i can identify with everthing in it keep them coming i think
I remember some of the 60s, so I think I must have been there at least part of the time.
I love it so true new fangled inventions to make life easy
Success is fleeting, talent is everlasting, anyone who has not bought Toms new album "What I know" is missing out on more of the same from this truly gifted songsmith. Anyone living stateside, you dont know how lucky you are to be able to get to a concert. I would love the chance to see him unfortunately there is a rather large pond between Ireland and the states stopping me at the moment. Teddy O'Neill Dublin.
Thanks for the memories Tom !
I can relate to that!!
I hope i always remember this song...and what a good laugh i had...thanks for that..:-))
