Ivation Battery Powered Portable Shower Review

  • This is certainly a super easy portable shower to use. Charge it up. Turn it on, drop it in your water source, and poof! You have nice shower of water. It's a beautiful thing. We like it and we'll probably use it. Our only concern is that the flow rate is so good, it will be easy to go through a lot of water quickly. Sometimes the places we go don't have a water source, so we pack all of our water in and have to be mindful of how much we use. While we might not this shower at those times, it's just too easy to use to be left behind.

    FINALLY a good, thorough, and fair review. I bought this the other day (still waiting on delivery), like everyone else I'm concerned about water pressure, and battery time. These two questions were addressed in this video. I'm anxiously awaiting my delivery. Great job, two thumbs up....gotta love the dawg.

    Thank you so much for this orderly review. My childhood friend sent this to my Border Collie, Fiona, for her birthday so she can have soothing, outdoor baths. I particularly wanted to see that the pump is really fully submerged, because it goes against my logic to place a battery in water!

    • @wobblyotteroutdoors

      @Brien I don't know if there is something similar with stronger water pressure. To prevent scalding, I would not use it with water that has a temperature of more than 110 degrees Fahrenheit. It sounds like you are looking for something more like a pressure washer. There are battery powered pressure washers (a Wobbly Otter Amazon affiliate link): amzn.to/37EKhA2

    I like my Ivation shower very much drawing water from a Hardware store 5 gal plastic bucket. A propane turkey/fish fryer style stove will heat up our approximately 5 gal. pot to hot shower temp in under 10 minutes. Would like to say adding additional hot water for a longer shower from another bucket rather than moving the pump from one bucket to another will help avoid a possible air lock interruption to your shower (voice of experience here) Also pop up shower tents are nice, but I've recently used an Ice Fishing tent. The ladies in our group loved the extra roominess and privacy for undressing, I loved the super fast set up and take down.

  • @karinhart489

    I have an older version of a shower like that. It has the rechargeable batter & off/on switch not in the water, although this looks like a very doable solution. Works well for a camping shower. I put a ratio of 1:2 of hot water to cold into a collapsible 2 gallon dish pan.

    • @wobblyotteroutdoors
      @wobblyotteroutdoors  4 года назад

      That's way cool, Karin. Is the on/off switch on the handle of the one you have?

    • @karinhart489
      @karinhart489 4 года назад

      No, not on the handle. I will have to pull it out & look. I wish there was a simple off switch on shower head to temp stop flow of water, but hey it works way better than those shower bags you have to lift & hang over your head.

      Thank you. When plugged-in for charging, ours has a red light. We haven't seen the red light go out, or the color change when it is plugged in for charging. In the answers to questions on Amazon, folks say that when theirs reaches a full charge, the light color changes from red to blue. Not sure why we haven't seen the charge light change in some way... Maybe we didn't leave it plugged in long enough yet, or maybe ours is an older model.

Btw, i used it BEFORE watching your video and I was glad to see yours worked as well as mine did.
    I do have a question about this shower however and was wondering if anyone could answer t for me. Why do you have to remove the "O" ring from the connector where the shower head goes? After I got the ring in there it kinda seemed like it's there for the long haul.
