Dude you have no idea how much this is helping. Right now texas in US is going through a freeze and some of us dont have water or electricity but want to shower still so now I can easily go out and buy the cheap supplies and use the nearby freshwater river. Thank you so much
OMG, this is so ridiculously easy. Thanks for sharing. Saw a vid where the folks had a beautiful RV, but missing a shower, said they showered once a week at rest stops. They should see your vid.
thank you so much for sharing this, i wanted something simple and easy to carry around when needed to hose off the pets without having to wire things up or it being too heavy. brilliant!
Really cool, thank you as I was seeing lots of vids of cool pvc/abs plastic roof top systems; both power and gravity fed that is awesome, but a a good time to plan and build. I also am looking into portables like the Big Kahuna and such, just came across it now. My own thinking was using my 5 gallon water cooler jug and seeing if I could buy an inexpensive small drop in pump/heater for under $50 bucks; one that can plug into my vans back/trunk 12 volt outlet. Researching it now. Ive used those pressure tanks like in this video and they last a good 2-4 minutes with good spray when watering flowers and such; just make holder thats high enough or a longer hose and hands free nozzle and this looks great. Thanks again, as this could be a short or even long term use. I would suggest anyone who might do this version, see guidelines for plastic use for skin absorption via chemical leakage/leaching and such. This especially if its in the sun too long or to heat to warm the water. Love Chris
I built this same set up, but put a shrader valve in it. I prefer this over the road shower because it doesn't have to be on my roof rack all the time and I can easily fill it and carry it. 2 gallons is about 16 lbs. oh yeah, it cost less than $30 instead of $300! Update: the road shower is now close to $500.
Good idea I've done the same ! I don't think need to change the original spray head just make bigger holes on it that way you have enough water for shower
Or hot water heater not work and cannot afford to fix it but you either are owning or you live in someone else's house that they own and cannot afford to fix hot water.
Might do this for after work. Thanks as a chef always have oily hands and feet from water splashing thanks and knowing carona can’t rely on the shower at the beach any more lol
Did you make one using a garden hose sprayer like this video? Or one using a kitchen hose sprayer? If you used a garden hose sprayer, can you tell me what size was the barb you used?
Probably best to do marine/scout/whatever shower. 10 seconds to get wet. Then a minute or so to soap and scrub. Then 30 seconds water to rinse off. With a trigger nozzle the water will only flow when you trigger it. You will probably have to pump it again to keep the pressure up during your shower.
I love this concept but there are some flaws about it. You have to use clean water but that doesn't guarantee the functionality will last long. Ex: we went on our surfing trip and I filled the sprayer up with beach water because that was the only water available instead of filling it up with clean water and my sprayer broke from the contaminants (sand). I've tried different sprayers and they all broke from the same problem. Now I just use a bucket and a cup with my heated water from the propane stove. Nothing gets broken that way and it's a guarenteed method to work regardless of what kind of water your using. You can also use a water pitcher with a filter to get clean water but the pitcher is only so big and you'll probably go through a lot of filters as well. You can also sanitize your water by heating it up to 100 degrees but it still has to be filtered before heating. The colapsable buckets leak. The Coleman shower leaks , low pressure, and breaks after so much sun exposure because the plastic expands after so much with propane heated water and starts to tear. Everything has an expectation date, it doesn't last forever my old 5 gallon paint bucket with the lid and propane heated water with a cup has lasted me for years. Even the 5 gallon water jugs would do the trick for a shower but I prefer the paint bucket because there's more than one use for it.
For anyone reading this comment, this person is right. My suggestion would be to take your own large bucket of water (from home) with you to refill the sprayer. This of course only applies to a beach trip. So if you need it for, say, a camping trip well you could probably get fresh water from a lake or you'd have to carry a very large conrainer of water with you to the campsite.
I've been doing this for a long time except for the garden nozzle. Duh me! Ty for the idea. Oh...what is the brass thing you thread into the nozzle? Ty for all replies
What if you want one with a longer cord so you don't have to bend over and shower? What type of cord would I have to buy to make it an extension? What type of connector would I have to buy with it?
@@rashb3994 probably a little yes. As there is not an indefinite pressure source, just what the manual pumps provide. After a little while you'll have to repump to build it up again. But it's a shower sprayer for the outdoors, so it's not gonna be 100% perfectly convenient. You'd have to spend a lot more than $10-20 for that. Still, this is a great alternative to using bucket and cup method.
what parts did you use and where did you get them? I went to home depot yesterday and could not find a container with a hose your size and also they had to put three brass fittings together instead of the one fitting. can you tell us where you got your equipment and parts specs?
I ordered the sprayer and got the fitting and everything. I noticed the plastic insert going inside the tank was very tiny in width. Did you keep that or modify that in any way? It seems that this would would greatly reduce the volume of the sprayer.
This is much cheaper than those $100 to $200 portable showers that do the same thing. I'm going camping to save money not waist it on products. If I want to spend $100 on a shower I'd stay in a crummy motel.
LSC you would be wrong. These pump sprayer showers are extremely useful and quite handy for camping or when the power goes out for days at a time. We just experienced the latter situation here in south Texas and just being able to take a quick low pressure shower makes all of the difference in the world. Quite a luxury when compared to bathing with wet wipes.
what kind of shower do you need, Princess? Most camping folks are fine with military style showers. Enough water to get wet, cut it off, lather entire body, turn on nozzle to rinse. Probably use less than a gallon of water total. Maybe you prefer camping in a large lavish RV. If so, this isn't the video for you.
You could always spray paint the outside black too absorb heat while in sun. Neatest idea yet no electric needed

dude fuuuuuck yea. No fancy $300 thing with electrical components, just a goddamn raw camping shower
big upvote

Finally a simple camp shower. Thank you
Wow and who says RUclips is a waste of time lol. Thank you for sharing!!!
i have never heard anyone say youtube is a waste of time-where did you hear that or are you just making stuff up?
best one I've seen so far. If you could put links in the description box, that would be even better!
This works pretty Good, just use about a 3 gallon sprayer.
This way you don't run out of water till your done.
Simple brilliance! Wish I'd seen this before I bought an unwieldy propane camp shower contraption with a faulty pump!
Thanks for sharing this. ☺️
Cool idea, this garden sprayer shower would be good for beach trips.
great vid! easy to follow and demo. im setting one up just to have at home if the power goes out but also for camping..thanks so much

Finding this video just saved me an ass ton of money....thank you, kindly!
A ton is 2000 pounds.
In your opinion, would you say an ass ton is more, or less than 2000 pounds?
Are you outdoors alot
@@davearonow65 hahahahaha
I thought of this idea before, but didn't know how to do it. Thanks.
thank you very much.......very easy concept.....cant wait to try this!

excellent!!! I can use this to wash my car and apt. balcony!! Thank you so much for the clear instructions.

if you keep it continuously spraying, how long does it tend to hold the pressure for? thanks

what is the adapter size? Thanks and great vid
Nice and simple camp hack. Thanks for sharing.
If I was homeless I would definitely do this

Loved the way you explained. Thank you! Hello from México
Now u can shower, while sneaking across the border into usa

This is probably the best video iv seen to make this shower super quick and easy. Awesome!
Perfection! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for your detailed instructions
You sir are a genius! I will use this after surfing, the car temp should heat the water up nice
I’m looking all over for that fitting. Do you know the actual size of both ends? Do you have the part/model #?
Niceee!! How many minutes does that 2 gln container last from full to empty? Just out of curiosity. Thanks!
Thanks! I'm going to try this.
Wow good idea. Gonna try this my next camping trip.
Thank a lot to share this ideal .I will make one for camping.
3/4” to 3/8” barb fit mine got it at tractor supply in the sprayer parts section
this is the hardest piece to find. not at HD or Lowe's or Ace. Frustrating. Thanks!
Excellent!👏🔥Taking this to Burning Man.
I love it thanks for showing me the right way
Excellent. Well done!
Genius! Thanks.
Dude, that thing you calleda "pipe clamp" is not. It's a hose clamp.
Yours is the best tutorial. I like your voice aswell.
Way better then the pressurised expensiveJerry cans that always split after awhile!
To cool buddy, thank you sir.
What size of barb did you use?
Love this! Super easy! Thank you! New sub!
Walmart sells them for $14 with a nozzle attached
Great video. What size is the adapter ??? Can you please provide a link please!
simple! sweet
My barb is too big for the hose, what size "male metal mender" did you use?
Where do you get a container with that kind of top to pump? Great video
Great idea. Good presentation.
I made one this week from a different video.. Still dope...
Did you make one using a garden hose sprayer like this video? Or one using a kitchen hose sprayer? If you used a garden hose sprayer, can you tell me what size was the barb you used?
Everything is fine, shouldn't need the clamp since it's a tight fit with the hose
awesome! thanks for share. I saying hi from Tijuana México :)
What size is the adapter ???
could you post a link to the brass adapter you used for this please??
I'm so doing this! Thanks
Great video. Thanks.
I need to buy one pre-assembled
Nice!
I have attachments for my garden sprayer.
Attachments:
Shower
Air pump
Fogger
Siphon
And more
Good idea tqvm
Great idea!
Put some details on your descriptions, dont know the parts , cant keep rewinding at the store, part # , Amazon links , more user friendly
Thank you
How fast does it empty the tank with the hose like that

Paint it black and it will warm up to about 45 degrees on a sunny day and you can have a shower.
What size hose barb did you use?
thanks for posting...
Best Solution!!
I wonder if you could fit the pump parts on a bigger metal tank...
Just so, you all are aware, his video on this,..is not the only one. 😉
HOW LONG DOES THE WATER FLOW BEFORE IT IS DRY.?
Genius!!!
Do these hose adapters come in different sizes? The pressure sprayer I got has a hose that is much smaller. Thanks.
What size is the barb adapter. I got one that looks that size but the sprayer hose is way to small even with heating.
Do you have part numbers ( ordering info ) for the brass coupling and hand sprayer ?
Sweet!
I wonder if the brass twisty hose spayer would work too 🤔
