Hello Andrew I have one of these too! I put a tire valve on mine so I can Just hook it up to an air compressor and pressurize it that way. No need to pump it myself anymore.
Resistance at the nozzle end build pressure providing your input hoses are large enough to supply the water consumption. You’ll get even greater pressure if you increase all hoses to garden size hoses.
I use a 5 gallon paint bucket with a faucet at the bottom, which took a few min. to install. On top of the van, gravity works just fine. Simple and cheap.
Michael: the 5 gal bucket has to be hanging for the water to flow as you said. I did that for an outdoor shower I built. The good part about the pump tank system is that it doesn't have to hang.
I'm sorry that's too much work and ha having to buy all the tools I would need!So I would just lather myself down and rinse off with a flower bucket,You know that bucket with all the little holes in when watering your plants! J's 😊👍🏾👍🏾❤️
While I applaud your initiative for putting 2 non oem holes in your new tank, if you had known that your OEM output hose was going to be too small, would you have combined the two functions? filler and output into the same hardware? By maybe tapping your bung and permanently attaching the hose to it, you would kill 2 birds with one stone.
You can add a Schrader valve to the filler cap and use a portable electric pump to pressurise the cylinder, preventing even more wear and tear on the built in hand pump.
I don't think you need all that silicone with the rubber gaskets. And I wouldn't bother with that nut fitting on the inside of the filler fitting either. Great idea though.
You need to put a little water down the pump air inlet ports from time to time to help keep the pump piston seals from completely drying out. The pump will last longer...
I just used a kitchen hose, 2 years still going strong. As for the pressure release it’s the same valve. You still have to pump it to get pressure built up. Way too complicated.
You should be able to build this with of the shelf adapters. Our you can use a schrader valve to pressurize the tank or just make your own tank with black abs.
Wonder if you could have used that tube bending hanging in the back to bend the sprayer wand that the garden sprayer came with and just called it good.
Thanks awesome but a little complicated for me I tried one withe the little hose it fail as well and was put on the back burner.... Uhhhgg... I'd live to do this one.
Great idea, however your garden nozzle wastes far too much water. Instead of the nozzle on the end, you should attach a 1.0 gallon per minute, stainless steel, mini shower head with an on/off switch. Low water usage, free to release-open-close and is available at HD for $7
Good Video. I have an old pump sprayer, I have been saving for years, just waiting for you to show me how to do this. Had the idea long ago, but not the "How To". Thanks for sharing.
Thanks "diy" guy that has like a whole shop and could probably just BUY a portable shower. Who the heck has all those tools in a machine shop somewhere?? I live off grid and by my wallet. Ah, I guess it was a good video I guess. If you have ALOT of money and don't REALLY need to "diy" anything. But you like having projects. Cool.
Can you make me one! Willing to buy :) You did a wonderful job, thanks for the helpful video! For real though, if you're interested, we are currently living in a mini van and could desperately use a diy shower. Wish we could make it ourselves but we don't have the right tools right now. Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping us out
You might want to think about putting u tubeless valve on and use it with an air compressor so you don’t have to pump it and you might get more pressure out of it
What are you doing man!!! think you do everything backwards and cut everything that you don't need to cut at all ,, you just need to replace the hoses so it will get more water ??? or ,,, and put on which nozzle you want in front ,,, i done this and dont have to cut everything, like you doing,,,Its done for pressure get a bigger hose,,not much and it will go on like a real shower almoast,,,
Sorry but this is too much work when you can buy one of these for 30 bucks but I will definitely watch your videos as I begin Overland camper! with Mailyn trailer.
Love the design using the upgraded hose size. Hate the fact that you wasted your time creating a vent and fill system that was 100% unnecessary. That broke as a fluke. There's no way you're going to break another one in the same manner. If you do you go buy a new one and throw the handle on your old one and call it a day. You spent too much time and too many materials fixing something that wasn't broken. I know you're too smart to do that again.
Turn the music off, it's distracting from listening to you talk. I don't know why it seems that everybody has to have booming music in their videos or people will not even watch them. Here's a news flash, it's about the information, and you just lost a customer, I cannot take this music
There's always way too brilliant people out there. Nice job!
I have one of these that I use for camping. I spray painted it black to improve the solar heat gain.
Great job!

that's a great idea. I wish I could see how that's done

Genius!!!!! Ty

I like the garden nozzle idea, easy to hold and can adjust pressure.
I'm sorry that's too much work and ha having to buy all the tools I would need!So I would just lather myself down and rinse off with a flower bucket,You know that bucket with all the little holes in when watering your plants! J's 😊👍🏾👍🏾❤️
Thanks for this idea. Perfect off grid shower system
Nice portable shower
Imagine if the pump on the new one fit inside the old one and all he had to do was switch it lol
THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK. I’M BUILDING ONE USING YOUR INSTRUCTIONS. GOOD VID.
While I applaud your initiative for putting 2 non oem holes in your new tank, if you had known that your OEM output hose was going to be too small, would you have combined the two functions? filler and output into the same hardware? I like the first one . Simple and easy . No one is gana do the second one lol
Andrew outstanding video. Turn of the music! It's distracting your performance. Thank you!

Mo Gumede
please put on a version without muzak, so that I can hear you
I don't think you need all that silicone with the rubber gaskets. And I wouldn't bother with that nut fitting on the inside of the filler fitting either. Great idea though.
Except for the loud music, great video.
What a great video! I kind of want to make one of these to take to parks and play with my 3 year old. Well done!
Good job !
You need to put a little water down the pump air inlet ports from time to time to help keep the pump piston seals from completely drying out. The pump will last longer...
What size hose is that on the sprayer? I bought two different models and the hoses are smaller than the one you are showing? I bought 2gallon sizes.
Very funny! Mission impossible for me, but excellent work! Greetings from Argentina!
Nice work!
What kind of glue did you huff, I mean use
I just used a kitchen hose, 2 years still going strong. As for the pressure release it’s the same valve. You still have to pump it to get pressure built up. Way too complicated.
Great idea!
What was the name of the original one you had that came with the larger tubing sir?
You should be able to build this with of the shelf adapters. Our you can use a schrader valve to pressurize the tank or just make your own tank with black abs.
I use the tank as shower as well. I change my shower like your. But is leaking air by the pvc cover to fill with water. Did you put a o ring?
Wonder if you could have used that tube bending hanging in the back to bend the sprayer wand that the garden sprayer came with and just called it good.
Reminds of when I was a kid trying to make the best bong ever outta 2 liter plastic bottles and electric tape with a pen and 10mm socket
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks awesome but a little complicated for me I tried one withe the little hose it fail as well and was put on the back burner.... Uhhhgg... I'd live to do this one.
what is the black thing you screwed into the jug?
how many seconds you have of water for each pump cicle?
What was the cost for all the hardware and supplies?
Great job on the build but you should have used a metal tank so you could heat it over a fire
Ty going to try this. My rv tank gets full to fast & I only take 5 min showers. so I want to do something different with a container
👍Thank you. 💝
Good grief! Hope he doesn’t get it mixed up with his Roundup!

or kitchen sink sprayer that's how I did mine
the music was special....
Great video! Very informative.
good work
I love the music!
How much was the total cost for the build?
Good Video. I have an old pump sprayer, I have been saving for years, just waiting for you to show me how to do this. Had the idea long ago, but not the "How To". Thanks for sharing.
what kind of glue did you use?
Use a kitchen sink sparer nozzle.
I am sorry but sometimes people tend to make things difficult for no reason, I have seen way simpler without the need to all of those fancy tools.
Now paint it black for solar heat!
Great video, thanks
Thanks "diy" guy that has like a whole shop and could probably just BUY a portable shower. Who the heck has all those tools in a machine shop somewhere?? I live off grid and by my wallet. Ah, I guess it was a good video I guess. If you have ALOT of money and don't REALLY need to "diy" anything. But you like having projects. Cool.
I use a kitchen sprayer for mine instead of the hose spray gun.
Nice
Don't do it this way, much more simple ways to get this done with a common sink sprayer and A LOT less work.
They should make them all this way in terms of the fill up. Nothing worse than unscrewing the pump and getting hit in the face with poison mist….
That's cool and all but by the time your all said and done with materials you can get a helios camping shower for 40 bucks.
nice
They make new kits to seal them lol ..i want the garden nozzle not sink nozzle 🤔
Could you make me one? I could pay you. I really need one of these.
Thanks
Can you make me one! Willing to buy :) You did a wonderful job, thanks for the helpful video! X2
You might want to think about putting u tubeless valve on and use it with an air compressor so you don’t have to pump it and you might get more pressure out of it
You know, you could have saved time and money by simply replacing the o rings inside the pump. Over engineered plastic is what your left with.
Hey surfer dude
5 years of spraying roundup yo. Lol
!Excelente! Thanks!
Rad !
Look a human using its brain lol
What are you doing man!!! think you do everything backwards and cut everything that you don't need to cut at all ,, you just need to replace the hoses so it will get more water ??? or ,,, and put on which nozzle you want in front ,,, i done this and dont have to cut everything, like you doing,,,Its done for pressure get a bigger hose,,not much and it will go on like a real shower almoast,,,
Pls list on items to make it pls
Do you sell them?
Jacklyn of all trades yes at the home peacock store
Talk about going through a lot for a little. Your first mistake was asking a guy at Home Depot. Those people are clueless
Yeah I don’t have any of those tools. I’ll pay you $50 to make me one. lol
Just buy an Ivation Camping Shower. Works great. Low cost.
I made one, I use it to wash my car.
Sorry but this is too much work when you can buy one of these for 30 bucks but I will definitely watch your videos as I begin Overland camper! with Mailyn trailer.

Are you serious?!! 🤔🤣😳
No Thanks to complicated😡
12 minutes isn’t quick 🙏🏼
Another "DIY" for young "Rich" people with tools and an engineer degree.
Haha right!!
Any self respecting guy should have such tools.
Turn the music off, it's distracting from listening to you talk. I don't know why it seems that everybody has to have booming music in their videos or people will not even watch them. Here's a news flash, it's about the information, and you just lost a customer, I cannot take this music
Nothing new.
3/4 time-wasting on yabba yabba yabba and what not to do. Gave up after 9 minutes.
Mmmm. Yeah… no.
They have battery powered ones the same size that you just flip a switch and the battery shoots water no pumping
Imagine not having a lathe. Primitives
