Excellent review! You sold me. Very thorough, and I thought it was so cute that you didn’t edit out the little filling flub. You’re dog is so sweet too. You answered all my questions that written store reviews did not. Thank you!
I have the original one with the mesh bottom bag.,Our water heater went out and for over a week the Nemo was my shower.I heated up water on the stove and it worked great. It also gets used to wash the dishes when we go on a cook out.The new one looks very nice, thanks for the video
So glad you had the Nemo to use! I didn't know that they changed the case on the smaller version to be the one with the mesh bottom. Such a nice bag style. I like the idea of using it to wash dishes. We haven't used it much for that in the past. Not sure why. You're welcome for the video. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experiences.
@@KisameSempai I will chime in also..You can use pretty hot water, just make sure it's not empty or I prob wouldn't use boiling water either.I put some warm water in the bag to get it going and then kept gradually adding hotter water until my shower was doable.
Certainly looks like significant improvements were made over the prior version. I've been using a garden sprayer which I adapted a longer hose for and painted a flat black. Its amazing how warm the water gets with it sitting out in the sun for a couple of hours. Of course I have a privacy shelter also. The Nemo sure would take up a lot less space in comparison though. Another great review!
Yes... Nemo seems to have listened to customer's suggestions about the smaller one when making the LX. Why, of course, because you are amazing, you made your own. That is so cool. We actually discussed using a garden sprayer when the previous Helio died. As you mentioned.... The deciding factor was space. Thank you for watching and for the kind words and for always taking time to comment.
Fantastic review and shows the pros and cons, really how much better this XL one is than the regular one.. Really like the large opening to fill it and the extras they added to make it so much better. Huge improvement in my book. Really a great review too, u are to be complimented for that as well.
I got mine Yesterday and Today I put it to the test. The water pressure was really low. Not even close to the video shown here. I read the instructions and checked other videos to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong but it was a disappointment. This baby is going to be returned.
Sorry to hear that. This is the only thing I can think of that may make a difference... Not sure how much water was in the tank when you tested it out. If the tank is about half to two-thirds full of water that will allow a good bit of air to also be in the tank. The air pressure in the tank is what drives the water out. If the tank is mostly full of water, that doesn't allow for much pressure.
"MY AIM SUCKS" 😳😂😂😂 One of the reasons you bought this model is for the larger opening to pour water into it? And you missed?!? 😂😂😂 Thank goodness you don't have to battle with urinals 😂😂😂 Bless your heart. You made my day! This company is paying you commision hopefully. You absolutely sold me on it.

@@wobblyotteroutdoors what is your opinion about that product now? Over a year passed. Difficult to find that product, not sure if it is still available...now is new horizontal design 11litrs.
@Dariusz Kalinowski - Sadly, we haven't had opportunity to use it on more than a few camping trips. It works well and we appreciate the larger tank of the LX. It uses the same foot pump, hose and nozzle as our previous 11-liter Helio that lasted 3 years. Yep... even though the LX is listed on the Nemo website, it is out-of-stock there and on Amazon too. No way to know if that is temporary or not. It's good to see that Nemo continues to listen to their customers and try new things with the design. On the new horizontal 11-liter tank, the built-in spout for filling the tank is a great idea. The smaller tank (11-liter) holds plenty of water for 1 to 2 showers; 3 if your quick. If you have a way to heat the shower water, or don't mind cold water, we also did a review of a portable, rechargeable shower. It just could not be any easier to use and it has great reviews... And no foot-pump pumping. 😁 Here's a link to our video about the portable, rechargeable shower: ruclips.net/video/nOnYe-lmbBk/видео.html This link goes directly to the product on Amazon: amzn.to/2ZeDusL I hope this is helpful in some way.
I have changed my mind on this product because of a product review on amazon. Just mentioning real quick in that review that the seals will not last long and he mentions other issues. He did say the idea of the product is great just the execution of it was not good.
Thank you for the information, @New York Bishes. No point in buying something you have serious concerns about. We saw several reviews to that effect on Amazon too (and made a point to share them in the video). The smaller shower served us so well for so long, and we very much like the design changes in the LX, that we decided to take the chance and get it. We will do a followup review of the shower after a year or so of use. Time will tell...
Hi Sheri. No we have not had opportunity to use this shower a lot. We did us it in Colorado and it did great. That video, including shower care tips can be found here: ruclips.net/video/KIL9dPnWIf4/видео.html The shower has the same working parts for the pump and hose connections as the smaller one we had before. The smaller one lasted us 3 years. If you don't have any power source, I would get the Helio XL. It's been a good shower for us. If you have a power source and plenty of water, I suggest you take a look at a rechargeable shower like this one we reviewed, by Ivation: ruclips.net/video/nOnYe-lmbBk/видео.html The downsides of a rechargeable shower are you need a way to recharge it and this one uses/pumps water quickly.
We've not experienced this issue. One could wait/plan to use the shelter shower at a location where it isn't a concern. You could stand in a shallow container to catch the water, then you still have to have a way to carry it to dispose of it properly. It's easier to camp in locations that have shower facilities, or where the little bit of outdoor shower water isn't going to be an issue. For what it's worth, we use biodegradeable soaps and shampoos.
I checked this out on Amazon and found that there was a very high dissatisfaction with a number of customers saying it only worked a few times before it broke in one way or another. How long have you had your's and is it still working well?
