I'd also get the apex trigger kit for the shield if you're not opposed to modifying the trigger and the potential legal ramifications it might have. After it was installed it was literally night & day with the trigger pull & reset.
I thought so too! And so far they are holding up just fine on the range I haven’t run thousands of rounds through them but about 500 on the Glock and 300 on the Shield
@Threat.level.midnite Is that holosun everything its cracked up to be ? I really want to put one on my Shield +, i had a crimson trace it failed, then tried Riton it is failing 😢@Threat.level.midnite
I love . I have a 407c on my 2.0 and a 507k they are great. If i could do it again i would still get the holosun but id recommend the primary arms acess verson. The chevron is a more precise shot. But you cant beat em.@Average_Joe_Arms
And yeah so far they’re great. We probably have 500 rounds on the Glock kit and it holds zero just fine and we’ve had no issues at all. The shield probably only has 150-200 on it
Something I ran into you might want to be aware of. I didn’t realize the set screw was already screwed into the plate when I got it. So I put the plate on with the set screw installed. Seems to be fine but possibly could have damaged the screw..Question- On the California model the plate goes over the loaded indicator. Is this legal? It still comes up some.
I think it should be fine. And as far as legality it’s not a problem at all. Those standards are set more manufacturers for selling handguns in CA. What you do with it after purchase doesn’t change its legal status
dovemounts.com/product/dovedot-rmsc/ Unfortunately they’re constantly out of stock but if you follow their instagram page they let you know when they’re ready to ship
Most Kydex holsters have a front sight channel large enough to accommodate it. I’ve seen this gun fit into CYA holsters from Amazon as well as Tier One concealed holsters so the sight height really shouldn’t change the fit
@@edesp007 funny you would ask 2 min ago as I was just removing the rear site off my beretta m9a1 2 min ago with no vise. You just hold the fire arm down firmly and whack it. Make sure you don't strike the slide. Took me 1 min to remove with a brass punch.
I have no idea, these ones have been really successful so I’d think they would want to branch out. Usually if I have questions I’ll ask on their Instagram they’re pretty good about getting back to me on there
Too bad they are always out of stock. Seems like they are a small company with zero capital or reserves. They are living payment to payment and don't have any stock to fulfill orders. They don't respond to inquiries about expected delivery times for out-of-stock items. Not a great way to operate.
Yeah I think they’re pretty small. If you reach out on Instagram they’re pretty good about getting back to you right away. I installed these for a friend so I didn’t go through the order process or ever need to reach customer service. I’ve definitely heard they are out of stock a lot that’s for sure.
Great video. I like the setup a lot.

I don’t mind doing trigger work. I have a few M&P full sized guns and don’t mind the stock triggers but I’m interested in the apex
That’s a great option for people who don’t wanna get there slide cut 😎👍

Nice job! How long did you have to wait for the Dove Dot to come in? They are on backorder right now for both my Shield and my Glock. Popular kits.
A buddy of mine ordered them a few months ago but back then they were in stock so it shipped right away

Thank u so much !!!
Glad this helped!

Thanks for the video and the response.
Looks harder without a sight pusher
Yeah it is but can still be done with punches and a mallet
Do you have the link where I could order this one.

Awesome video! Do you know of a holster that’ll fit with the raised front sight and optic? Thanks!

@@Threat.level.midnite Thank you!!
I bought the CYA Optic cut kydex IWB Holster for my Shield Plus on Amazon and it's been great!
I've never had a problem backing out screws that had blue lock tite on them. Have you?
Only if the screws are cheap Allen heads and the metal is softer than my wrench.
Which adapter plate did you get for the MNP shield @dovedot
Is this dove adapter compatible with all subcompact optics or is it only compatible with the holosun?
You have an option for the optic when you order the plate. This cut I believe was the rmsc cut. Holosun generally mirrors trijicons footprints
@@Threat.level.midnite thank you Brotha
Does your have changed indicator? Mine is the 40 with chamber indicator
I did this exact install without a vise and it was pretty easy. How do you remove the "gold dust" on the sights from punching ?
I just use a lot of pressure and wipe. Usually gets all the brass punch residue off
How you did it without the vise?

Why does this one cost so much more than the ddp one?
Probably the countries they are made in. DoveDot says they’re made in the US but DPP is owned by a Chinese company so that would be my guess
Does it fit the full size or strictly shields?
Both!
Are they going to make a mount for springfield or ruger in the near future?

We just released one for the Springfield XD series.
No offense to you, you said California model exit stage left
Yes…for I am in California land of the tyrants
Does nobody know how to use Google?
Many people do not 🤣

We had some trouble last year with one of our manufacturing partners not delivering. We've fixed the issue and are basically completely restocked now.
@@dovemounts8840 Good to hear. Thanks for the update.
I just checked your site and it's still out of stock
@@Bozz_khen dang I think they posted a week or two ago and they were back in. They go so fast
