Without the need for any adapters, I've got a Crimson Trace Micro Pro red dot on my Shield + .30 S/C and a green dot on my Shield + Performance Center 9 mm. Both work great and fit perfectly.
Great video. It’s surprisingly hard to get good info on the Shield Plus optic mounting process. Lots of info for the 365 and MOS systems, but it’s almost like S&W thought “Well, I guess we have to give people this option, but we’re not happy about it.”
I have the 4" PC model that I would like to upgrade the red dot on eventually. I am reading that a lot of people are having problems with their elevation bottoming out because apparently S&W mills a very slight slope into their cut. I really don't want to send it off to be remilled, or to do it myself with a dremel. Do you know anything about this issue?
@@tickedoff1438I’m in the same boat trying to figure this out. I think the “bottoming out” thing is only an issue when people try to mount dots without a plate because there are some that will seem to fit. I can’t find a concrete explanation though.
I've heard this too. I'm picking up my shield plus on Saturday and I want to get a RD right away. I think I'm going to order a shield or a crimson trace because they have the RMSc footprint that we need.
Will the Holosun HS407K x2 fit the m&p9 shield plus ? My cousin sold it to me for $50 because it didn’t fit his gun and one of the screws was striped and he gave me new screws for smith and Wesson 2.0 from a vortex optic kit he has. will those be fine to use ? They seem to fit good. Also does the “HS”407k just stand for holosun ? I hope I haven’t messed my screw hole threads up.. He also gave me a plate that fits good but sticks out a tad bit to where you can feel it coming out of but sided under the open but barely noticeable.
You need an adapter plate. We sell them. You also need 6-32 screws which don’t come with the optic. The adapter plate has eveything. It’s on our website
If your slide isn't milled to be optic ready then you will have to send it off to have it milled or go with a dove tail plate. I have the dove tail but wish I had went ahead and milled my slide. It raise everything up a little to high for my liking plus I had to change my sights

can my regular shield 9mm have a sight? my gun store lady said it couldnt.,, its just a regular m and p shield i think.. very new to this

are this holosun dot sights fit the 30 super
The 407k and 507k will mount directly to the slide on the 30 super carry shield plus without an adapter plate vs the 9mm version.
