You hit the nail right on the head with the take about Sig. it’s not just the P365 but two years ago I was the armorer NCO for my unit (Army) and our M17s kept going out of battery, the rear sights began popping off when shooting them - our civilian armorers & weapon repair (91F) serviced them multiple times and the reliability still wasn’t there. I had 121 M17s assigned and we had two pelican cases full of deadlined M17s which was over 50% of my inventory. That’s why I have only Glocks, FN’s, HKs & S&Ws for my personal use.
I got my Shield plus with the 3.1 inch barrel about 3 weeks ago. Luckily I got the optical cut with night sights, didn’t even pay attention to what model I got until I got home. Paid $489 for it. What sold me was the 15 round magazine from the equalizer fit it also. Put a red dot from another gun on it with an adopter plate from Amazon. Works great.
Glad to hear this for I would rather have a 15 round mag come with the gun as opposed to the 13. Having just got to handle a 15 rounder and compare it to a 13, the size difference is negligible so more bullets = more gooder as far as I'm concerned.
I got mine for $399.99,but not the optics cut.I really didn’t know about optics cuts till recently.I thought you still had to send them in to get cut.I use it for carry,so I’m actually not bothered by that for that reason.I believe you will really enjoy the gun, there great!!!!
I just bought one and picking it up in a few days. Here in CA it only comes with two ten round mags and one pinky extension, but even the larger guns only come with 10 round mags anyway. Cant wait to see how it shoots.
Got the Shield Plus Performance Ctr with ported slide & barrel bout a year ago. Was a bit disappointed they weren't manufactured with a Picatinny rail... so I added the Recover SHR9 bolt-on rail. The rail stops flush with the muzzle and surrounds the front of the trigger guard. The rail is well-made. Big fan of Olight products so I added the Picatinny compatible Olight BALDR S model green laser/flashlight to the Recover rail. The Olight extends beyond the muzzle about 3/4" so it does reduce concealability a bit. Also added Talon Grips. While the stock grip texture is excellent, the Talon Grips extend grip texture further up the beaver tail and much closer to the slide (1/16" below the slide lock). Liked the included extra Talon squares that shipped with the grips to use as indexing points on the slide for your finger. And upgraded the stock fiber optic sights to Trijicon night sights. Also upgraded the stock S&W 10-round mag with a Pearce mag pinky extension. Talon Grips also makes adhesive grips for the extended mags if you want to match the look/feel of the Talon frame grips. Model I bought did not come optics ready. Costs about $167 from 3rd-party to mil the slide. Haven't convinced myself to do it. Now that I think about it, gotta stop spending money on this thing. Jeesh.
You and I went down similar roads. I got the 2.0 compact slide w/full size grip to serve as my duty gun. Waiting on my 2.0 compact to be delivered which will be my "heavy" CCW pistol/travel carry gun. And this shield plus, which works as my normal EDC. Also have the 2.0 in 10mm functioning as my backpacking bear pistol. I did not intend to be all S&W'ed out but it kinda just ended up that way.
Shot my buddy's 365 at the range and holy heck that thing kicked. Went back to my shield and it was heaven. I'm glad I did a lot of research on micro compacts and arrived at the decision of getting my shield plus.
The 13 rounder is not slightly longer than the Glock 19. If you put the Glock 19 magazine in. They'll be the same size... I still prefer my P365X .. And I have a couple Guns to choose from
I'm looking to change my EDC. I have narrowed my choices down to the Smith and Wesson shield plus and the Glock 43X. Maybe I'll get him both ,who knows.
My taste would require a Talon grip for this gun. I seem to love them on almost everything. I am going to check the price on these. Great video-Thank you-God bless.-Take care.
Most Everyone went STUPID over the sig's....HOWEVER the M & P's has NEVER gave the first Hiccup that I'm aware of...but I'M SURE there will be NOW!!! But I wouldn't trade one M & P for three 365's of any style

I’ve put about 800 rounds thru my shield plus…no issues…really like how it shoots!
Shield Plus also has stock 15rd mags now.

You won’t be disappointed with it! I have both the shield plus with a 3.1 inch barrel and the 4 inch barrel bolt are excellent guns!
Most definitely! I just put another 500ish rounds through this gun with zero issues. The shoot-ability of such a small gun is VERY impressive.
@@combatant_training_group it’s one of the few micros that you actually enjoy shooting!
Look into the pierce add-on grip for the 10 round magazine. Makes a huge difference.
Yea. The pierce mag extension gives you a full grip and locks your hand in place. Also helps to draw from iwb.
Or the magguts...add 3 extra rounds to the 10rd mag

Wider grip for support hand. EXACTLY why I got one!! I also had the regular 365
I’m currently swapping to smith and Wesson. So far I have the 2.0 compact the 4.25 full and next will be a shield plus.

@@combatant_training_group I like the compact slide on the full the best. Shield and one of the smith 10mm soon
I’ve had a 2.0 Compact for years and never a single malfunction. Got it second hand from a deputy sheriff buddy.

All of these micro 9s snap but the larger size of the shield certainly makes it more shootable for me as well. It’s my favorite of the micros

Are Glocks overrated? Thinking About getting one! I love my M&P shield plus
I have a 15 round mag that fits my large hand much better, great gun !!!
The extended mags come close to turning it into a “normal” size gun for sure
I'm looking to change my EDC. I have narrowed my choices down to the Smith and Wesson shield plus and the Glock 43X. Maybe I'll get him both ,who knows.
Waiting for your after shooting review 👍

Appreciate the kind words sir
Talon grip on the 2.0 grip texture is a redundancy and waste.
strong feelings towards the grip preferences of someone else lol@@moobutt
@@combatant_training_group - strong feeling??? Just a fact.
Thanks for video. After how many rounds did your body have the 365 fail on him, plus which model of the 365 was it?
I’m honestly not sure why people trust sig so much they don’t have a great track record.
i love my m&p's i have had the shield 2.0 now i have the shield plus with night sights and the m&p 2.0 compact. magguts for the magazines are a bonus
I git the 30sc. It’s great
Are you having trouble finding ammo for it?
No. Every store got em. @@combatant_training_group
Oof
@@PepeDeezNutz it’s the best gun out . I bet my boat cost more than ya house

Sig mags have flaws too
