- I couldn't wait to get my hands on The DOUX Bee Girl Honey Curl Custard! Best twist out out product on the market! I couldn't find any flat twist videos using the Honey Curl Custard so I wasn't sure how it would work on my hair. Let me just say I went through a range of emotions during the styling process.

About my hair...
I have fine, chemical-free hair. Chemical free means no relaxer...no color...no nothing. :) I mainly wear my fine, natural hair in TWIST OUT styles. For me, twist outs are a protective style that have allowed me to retain length while enjoying wearing my hair 'out.'
I also love for my fine natural hair to have lots of bounce, curls and volume!

The definition is definitely insane . What you could use to soften your roots is a light cream. I really love the definition and shine.
At least you know the style will last😊
Thanks for sharing!! I'll keep that in mind for when I do my wash n go. Someone also suggested grapeseed oil. Shoot, as hard as my hair came out I'll probably have a light cream AND an oil nearby. :) Thanks for watching friend!

I can hardly wait to see your wash and style with Bee Girl. I absolutely love this stuff and get super long lasting results! I also use Nature’s Little Secret Okra Curl Defining Gel. I’m on day 8 with the okra and will be going at least 2 more days. Superb video!! ❤

Giiiirrrrlll...that definition is in a class by itself. I knew it was going to come out very defined but I wasn't ready! You can use a light oil like grapeseed oil to soften it a little more, but I think it looks gorgeous! I still can't find it at my Walmart. They're always sold out. That stuff is amazing for wash and gos so I cannot wait to see how yours turns out! Have a Happy Thanksgiving friend! 😘
Thank you so much!! Today is day 6 and I'll be shampooing tonight (at least that's the plan - but you know how that goes) only b/c there are large patches of product that dried like a crust. Doesn't look good. My hair likes grapeseed oil so I'll keep that in mind when I do my wash and go.

I appreciate this honest review because I was looking at this custard last week and was gonna purchase it....I just might 🤔🤔🤔 I just watched the rest of this after I got off work lol so that's why I double commented
The definition was a dream for me too! I’ve NEVER seen the likes of this before - lol. I shampooed abt 5 days later only b/c I had flakes from where I put too much on. Otherwise I could’ve gone a few more days.
I love your hair I love this stuff. The stuff is amazing. All you need just a little bit oil it will come right a loose but your hair is so pretty.

The climate I live in in drying. I am experimenting woth penetrating pil then jelly then sealing oil on top...

You are so pretty. Great video. I just did a 3 strand twist out with leave in and a moisturizer. These curls should last me for quite a few days!!

@@NaturallyCorporateI used the Garnier Fructis leave in (green bottle) butttt I SWEAR BY Influance Shea Butter Moisturizer. I replaced oil for a moisturizer a few years back and my hair has flourished.
I did the leave in, moisturizer, then the Bee Girl.
Beautiful set! That custard has great hold. I use the custard for areas I need more hold for a wash n go. I don't do twists anymore but I don't think I would like it for a twist out- Crazy Sexy Curl or Mousse Def would be my go to's for twists. I find the custard needs the hair to be very wet (out the shower wet lol) and a little goes a long way. It may have been the water:product ratio that made it more crunchy/drying but the cast crunches out nice. Thanks for the post!

Hello my friend, Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! 🌺🌺 I purchased it from Walmart right off the shelf. I heard some people say it’s hard to find, so I’ve been lucky. My local WM seems to carry almost the full line from The DOUX.

What other leave-ins pair well? I’ve never use the Camille rose honey leave-in. Mine just came in and I’m excited use it

Your hair is beautiful!. I suggest going forward use more water and less of the custard. Using too much custards either make your hair gummy or too hard.

The product?
The Honey Curl Custard is not supposed to be used this way, it's for a wash and go only, as far as I know. You should use the Cream (Twist and Curl Cream) for a twist out. Maybe mixing the two would work.
👋🏾Hi, you’re absolutely right. My hair doesn’t come out to my liking w/ wash n gos, so I did the twistout. Mixing the 2 is a really great idea though- thank you. I just might do that. 😊
@@NaturallyCorporate I thought it looked good, but the Honey Curl Custard is not for twist outs that's why it was so hard for you to do the "out" part...lol! But the Cream might work. Good luck!
