Those Tassies slay the trout on Shasta and Orrville. Those trout forage threadfin shad year round and they're suckers for fast presentations that mimic bait fish.
I've used the tazzies devils for a long time now. It's my go to lure when I'm struggling. Trolling that tazzies lure will out produce the other lures as far as trolling is concerned. Orange works well during lady bug hatch.
Fun video. Those Tasmanian Devil lures do best with a cast and jig retrieve, they need to flutter on the fall. Hawg Quest used to use them a lot for fall brown fishing.
Nice video and content. Aggressive fish eat almost anything! Neat to see what others have come up with to catch trout all over the world. Keep the videos coming! Fish smarter and expand your knowledge.
By Japanese standards the 1.3 g Timon Bung is on the heavy side:). I've caught fish with it, but I would need to practice more to get consistent results. I can hear my teacher saying that adding a split shot might ruin the action -- I don't know as I have never fished it that way.
That bung might be a good bet ice fishing letting it sink a little more direct connection to the lure through the ice don’t have a hard time imagining a trout taking that into its mouth and spitting it without ever giving any indication of a hit
I like the action on that Twig too. Another hook near the front would retard the action of the front but would not affect the back as much. I’d opt for a bladed VMC treble hook.
@@spiltmilt I'm going to Japan for the first time in a week I'll check what they have lol . FYI I love your videos watch every video and give the👍. I can't wait for the bc tour 🤪
devils come in many different weights and colors 20g versions called deep diver has two different holes for different diving depths, from 4 to 10 ft great for spring trolling between 1.5 2 mph there is great site in us with best selection of colors and sizes wont post a link as spilt milt does not gets any gratuity from it just search tom's...
Thanks Tyler, I like these types of videos that look outside the box for viable options on the water.
I enjoyed this. I would definitely watch a series of just this if you made it.

Man you are pumping out content. Loving it!

Great Video! I ordered Five darts, can't wait to take them fishing. Was only able to get the 3 gram version.
It's good to think outside the box! The Japanese twig's action reminds me of a plastic worm trolled behind an action wiggle disc.
The tassie would account for ninety percent of the trout caught trolling down in Australia.
It's a winner here in NZ also
The pink 20/26g version is amazing for Pink Salmon.
I brought a few Tasmanians back from Australia after living there a year in 1997....still have 1 and they work
Beautiful countryside and lake!
The twig one will work amazing on sea trout

another good one tonight, sure the wife is doing better, really injoyed this one fore sure.
Great video! I have used tasmanian devils, they work great casting from shore for both trout and salmon.

I’m surprised these lures did so well. I like the first lure. I might get one myself
I thought that Taz looked like a great kokanee lure when I saw that action too.
You can sometimes find Tasmanian Devils over here. I bought one at a tackle shop in Tacoma. Still haven't caught any fish on it yet
Bass Pro tends to stock a few options.
Twig = Trout Twitch by Spilt Milt. Definitely some exclusive Spilt Milt colors?
I’ve seen those Tasmanian devils every time I go to Walmart and I’ve been tempted now I know I’ll have to give them a shot
Tanker Trout “ I can’t believe I fell for the twig!” and into the net of shame he went…. Lol
🤣
If you can get your hands on a 7g black and gold toby/ turbo. They are legendary down here in New Zealand.
I’ll look into it. Thanks!
Wow! Beautiful lake,Nice fish. What lake is it?

Awesome stuff! 👌 ha! Your chickens eat beads and poop on your driveway?!? Love it!

Those are huge! Are those stock and grows? They remind me of the Black Friday fish wdfw puts in.
A mix of planted triploids and stocked put and grow diploids.
Have you tried the daiwa twig trolling Kokanee?
No
I looked up the twig… wow, what a rabbit hole I just went down at 5am
😂
Shimano cardiff dartheat
Have you fished for trout in Japan 🇯🇵. And might you consider it in the future and how about New Zealand?
Japan is on the docket not sure when I will get to the land of Kiwis
Are any of those good for vertical jigging?
I think the little resin blade bait from Jackson is going to be killer thru the ice

One more reason why my chickens don't have access to my lure components.
Those darts are all sold out. I think your video created a rush on their product lol
Would you troll with any one of these?
No I would not
