Thanks for the Yamame idea! My absolute favorite is: Lucky Craft Humpback minnow 50 SP in BGR Amago color, it also has the natural spots, for the shallows, and Humpback minnow 50 S for the deeper stuff, it outperforms the Rapala X-Rap XRCD 50, the only one that comes close is the regular X-Rap 50 AKA size 6 in Silver color, but it doesn’t come in suspending and deep diving, it’s in between.. which is actually great!
As far as inline spinners, my favorite bfs are the Panther Martin and Mepps Aglia long size 0. Also an F3 or F4 Flatfish in the frog pattern is deadly! Great tips and fantastic looking little ferkbaits!
I have been using rooster tails for just under 50 years . This year , the mustard color has been working great . I have caught trout up to 9.5 lbs on them so far this year . Mustard is hard to find . Cabelas and bass pro does not have the color , but fish usa does .
Very informative video. In my trout tackle box, I have several lures, but so far irreplaceable are those: Zip Baits Rigge 56SP is an ideal suspender, that can handle strong current; Zip Baits Rigge 35F is a good option when there is a need to downsize bait; Jackson ARTIST FR55 (sinking lure)is my go-to lure for upstream casting.
What is the reel at 16:00? I bought the set up you reviewed with the ace hawk and the pw100_hs years ago. It's still cranking. Thinking about upgrading my reel, what would you recommend that's the size of the pw100_hs with better performance yet reasonable price? Thanks in advance.
Great presentation! I’d also like to mention major craft finetail eden. For me is better than the all time king duo ryuki. Also soft plastic from aloe express. Worm from supercontinent.
Brother, can i ask if it is not easier to do finesse fishing with a spinning combo? Here in South Africa we are only allowed to use a trout rod and reel to fish for trout. No spinners or others lures allowed.
It is easier and most importantly cheaper by far. BFS is more of a special interest or hobby. I own more spinning gear than bfs. When rivers are smaller I enjoy bfs fishing more
I fish mainly grass lakes with a baitcaster ( Piscifun Phantom) with 40 pound braid and a medium heavy Shimano rod. I can see the value and interest in bfs but agree it is too expensive for me as a teacher to afford or fish bfs as it will not work in the farm dams i fish. Tight lines!!
I will be going against the grain a bit, while spinning gear is easier to come by, I do find bfs tackle is better especially in fast water. I think most people do not like the price of the tackle, or the time required to become proficient with casting, but if one is willing to invest the time and money in it, it will be worthwhile. One more thing to note is that I have fewer issues with line on bfs than I have with spinning tackle, and that is with proper line management. Peace!
Rooster tails are too finicky. They don't cast very well and their blade isn't very consistent sometimes not even spinning. The best dressed hook spinner I've used is Luhr Jensen bang tail or Joe's flies premium. For jerk baits my best kept secret and ones they no longer regularly produce, Lucky Craft Stream Drive 45mm and 35mm
@THE REEL TEST I've had great success. The flatside really sucks but the humpback just works so much better on twitch and straight retrieve. Spearhead ryuki is definitely my favorite. I recently picked up some duo ryuki spinners and ryuki tail spin. Let's see how does do

I usually use spoons and small minnows around 2.5g for stream fishing. You have some very nice baits.
Love the video! I was wondering what the combo at the beginning of the video was?
My first bow was on a white wardens rooster tail, silver blade. I always keep some in my box ❤

I know im very late on this video but in the past couple of months, the megabass karashi has been absolutely slaying trout for me
Jackall Timon Panicra MR was a surprisingly good lure that caught 10 out 12 trout on my last trip.
2:44 wow thanks for that. If someone didn't know they might snap a tip

It is definitely easier, but with a casting combo you gain a little more accuracy and control over the line.

I use BFS because its more fun.
The action sequences are filmed on some stunning waters. What state are you in? Great work.
All the fishing in this video was in Colorado
Rapala anything really as long as you can find it in the lure size you want
Rapala is lacking the detail and finishes of the JDM lures
Thanks the video. Where is this nice place?
Colorado
Hi.What rod is the one at the beginning of the video?thanks
ruclips.net/video/lxjAKZqt3Bc/видео.html
Duo Spearhead Ryuuki all day
Try the Daiwa Dr.Minnow 42S and the Silver Creek Minnows 44s n 50s in Yamame colors
That thing is 20$ these baits are so expensive but so small
Id get that snagged in 15 mins
Respect to the reel test. But for minnows sinking ones are the best. SMITH d-contact
What part of the country are you in here? It’s stunning.. Blessings
The fishing in this video was done in Colorado.
The best lure for perch n trout is mepps streamer, rarely fails 😊
Change the hooks to single inline hooks from Cultiva, Owner or Mustad.
nah, hooks stay treble and barbed
Ali express will have a huge variety cheap
9:21 that's called an implosion feeder.
U can get great bfs lures from Walmart. Including most of these
Gan Craft Jointed Claw 70 Glide Bait
(Not cheap, but this "IS" my favorite BFS lure.)
Good info
Spearhead spinners are way better than the other ones imo
Domestically the hook up tackle carries the jerkbaits.
Rooster tails are too finicky. They don't cast very well and their blade isn't very consistent sometimes not even spinning. The best dressed hook spinner I've used is Luhr Jensen bang tail or Joe's flies premium.

rooster tails always spin for me and cast really well in my experience
Ghetto rooster tails of always hurt great for me
Tuning the blade of a rooster tail is important. When slow rolling, need to cup the blade more.
Megabass great hunting humpback
I bought some great huntings years ago when they first came out and have hooked exactly 1 fish. The action on them is not very good from my experience
@THE REEL TEST I've had great success. The flatside really sucks but the humpback just works so much better on twitch and straight retrieve. Spearhead ryuki is definitely my favorite. I recently picked up some duo ryuki spinners and ryuki tail spin. Let's see how does do
Uh, if the fly guys dominate the water, then dominate them with dry flies on the fly rod in street clothes. That's how you do it.
48sp is okay. Runs too high to be even on a list.
Trout Magnet is not highly effective. There are better.
good nature ,clean water and nobody fishing so wanderful .thank you🥺
