Any way you could do a review of the mavllos plume? I purchased one myself and it checks all the boxes here based on ur criteria. It's short gripped, 6ft, .6 grams low end lure rating with a moderate fast action it feels like even though it's advertised as fast and although there's no tip dia. advertised, it is a very very thin tip compared to other rods I've had, the thinnest of all of them at a price point of 72 dollars, the lowest I throw it is 1.5 2 grams and can flick cast that weight around 35 40 feet with ease but I need to upgrade my spool bearings to get lower. It's more than capable of throwing 1 gram or lower so I think it would be a good candidate and contender for a trout magnet rod.
I think I actually got into fishing the trout magnet on bfs after watching your channel on here so thanks for the addiction to small lures hahaha. I actually had to modify a couple of my ultra light telescopic rods for everyday fishing, being in a wheelchair the telescopic rods are a lot easier for me to manage while at the water and usually allows me to carry multiple setups. I took a couple of the AliExpress rods and swapped the top section out with some rod blanks with a .8mm tip and they through the trout magnet great and surprisingly haven't snapped even catching a few big catfish by accident. The lowest weight I have been able to throw was .74 grams using the valiant eagle II.
@@THEREELTEST it's been a great reel full of surprises for me really, my Kestrel elite is still my favorite even though the Kestrel non elite version outperformed both out of the box, but with the modifications I have been catching big trout on very light lures and it's been a lot of fun. Most of our trout fishing is done in Arizona where I live so I am targeting other fish for awhile with other reels but this past winter was fun with the kastkings. I don't know if you have enough lines yet on another video but you should check out that Haibo Arise Elite, it's been another fun surprise for me.
Funny you clicked on the Histar Solomon 3 first up - i just received the 6’ light casting stick and I can tell you it is a really nice rod. I don’t know how they do it for the price. It can’t do 1 gram though, for the reasons you mentioned.
You are interesting to talk about BFS gear. I had a need to catch small European fish from 1-2 grams on soft and metal lures and I bought myself a Breaden GRF TX-60BL Rocketmaru, which is of course tough, but I like hard gear. So I can do different animations in catching. After that, I thought about it, looked at your old review and decided to get myself a DAIWA REEL TW 20 ALPHAS AIR TW 8.6L LEFT, which I think will allow you to fish with light lures with a thin PE line.
I will say I own the green Sigama with a 2-10 G rating and love it for Bass fishing (no trout magnet here), I truly recommend it for Bass fishing even small diameter single hooks with soft plastics, you should definitely get one along with all viewers for BFS Bass fishing/Pan fish (no trout magnets).
What would be your opinion on the glass rods like the Rosewood, or Dankung Glassfin? Those glass rod tips are above 1 diameter but the glass rods more flex than the typical graphite. I was looking at those and also the Mavollas Delicacy (non glass) as well. By the way thank you for going in so much on ultralight BFS. I throw small light lures due to so many dinks in my area, also I like the challenge.
This video brought back good memories of the old days. The ltx bf8 on the ttc-510s. That time period of around 2016-2018. It had me searching for the best ul setup. Thanks for all the videos! The yamaga blue current 53b is a nice choice for the trout magnet and very light as well. Its not the Crystar but its not bad. How do you like the Abu Garcia slow taper rod that you own?
The Abu salty stage 7’4 is actually very good. It is definitely too long and would be better in a shorter length, but I did get used to it and it is my favorite rod.
nice video as always bro, do you think the yamaga blanks blue current 3 53/b would be able to cast the trout magnet? i am looking to pick up one and pair it with my 22 aldebaran bfs with avail spool running 0.3 PE duel armored pro F+ line. i already have the yamaga blanks blue current 3 69/b , loved the balance and performance , hence wanted to pick 53/b. Yamaga blanks fanboy here ( i have 4 other models , all baitcasters).. let me know your thoughts please :)
when the Alphas air came out, some japanese youtuber test cast a 1 gram lure using that rod. Id search out that video if I were you. From what I remember it did ok
@@THEREELTEST Thank you for the quick reply! You would still recommend the new Dark Wolf Ultra with no magnetic braking? I saw some people making a big deal out of it in terms of casting
Shimano Jackall Poison ULTIMA has been my favourite baitcasting rod for years. Unfortunately they are so hard to purchase, almost impossible to get. It would be great if Shimano can come up with a new (SKU) 2-piece centre joint medium rod. More convenient for me to go fishing on a motorbike. 1-piece and 5-piece rods are not my cup of tea..
@@elwooddestiny11blues20 I have many large bodies of water nearby. BFS tackle is an opportunity to catch any fish in a big city at close range when they don't want to eat big baits. If I had small rivers nearby, I would definitely take the younger model.
What people dont realize that while there is alot of low quality product coming out of china, there are good products, and that we dont actually *need* to spend $$$ on gear to have a good setup
See how I started the trout magnet/1 gram lure BFS trend here ruclips.net/p/PLhr0VP71dnpkaJA0FIcuSUR0ai7cdighf

To cast a trout magnet I use the Daiwa Rebellion L 5,6XUL lure rating of 0.4-3g and honesty it handled the trout magnet really well, so far I love it.
Ill have to take check that rod out

Are you going to review the 23 Shimano SLX DC reel?
eh.. probably not, IDC4 doesnt excite me
@thereeltest can I use a trout spinning rod as my bfs rod? I want to pair it with a solo king Acura to fish a trout magnet
if you want, but realize your spinning rod has spinning guides
Kuying Teton 5ft.10 paired with the Shimano Alderbaran BFS 2022

I think one of the fixed Dark Wolf Ultras or Black Knight 2s is the best from my experience

They usually come with 1mm tip.
depends on that rod action
