As a long time builder and modder I see like many others can figure out what the issue is. I also understand that it’s not the issue you had, it was the lack of response from support! I ordered the stick and they sent me a pad controller.
I called them and they were responsive. Sent me a label to send it back so they could send the stick and a actually tried to buy the pad as well but they couldn’t do that. All my emails were ignored but phone calls weren’t
In the end their support got it done and I love the stick. The jlf is cheap to replace (23 bux) if needed and I would recommend the stick overall.
Shame he had a bad experience.

  • @VGShrine

I have this stick since 2019 and it has been solid and meet the expectations for the product. I have 2 first generation Pro FS for PS4 and back then I had some issues replacing some parts as it was my first time customizing an arcade stick and when the company was Victrix their support was really quick and they sent me replacement parts to fix my controller at no cost and in a week I had the controller ready to play with it. The support response was very fast considering I'm from Chile and I'm very satisfied with the product and with Victrix.
To be honest, I don't know if their support policies and practices changed as now they are PDP so probably that's the issue here.
But as an advice, if you buy a customizable arcade stick and an expensive one, you need to get your hands dirty and start to understand/study how their parts work. I also had issues with mine due to my lack of experience. But learning about hardware and replacing parts and fix issues on your own it's really satisfying.
As soon as I got my Victrix Pro FS I changed the Sanwa JLF for a Sanwa Silent Stick and it still works like the first day I installed it. Overall is a great stick and the latest versions offers more customization options for other brand parts than the one I own.

Hi there! I have experiences like that with many sticks, but I don't believe it's a problem of Victix on technical side. It is Sanwa JLF part with modified version of "link" quick release system. It happens sometimes with faulty E-clips, they either stay forever or with some short time(~2-6 months of extensive use) get collapsed with pressure. I do feel however that 2 months of response is inadequate and Victix needs to look at their emails once in a while it seems because sending a quick install part like joystick or a button is not supposed to be a problem.

    • @HKsmash
      @HKsmash  Год назад +3

Yea I realize its not a difficult thing to fix and I could have certainly done it. But yes the major concern here is the lack of product support from the company which makes me more concerned about if/when future issues arrive.

Sorry you had to go through this ordeal. I'm an arcade stick junkie and I collect quite a few so I'm very familiar with disassembling jlf Parts. As someone stated it sounds like your e-clip was too big or stretched too wide. Victrix probably wasn't too quick to get back in touch with you because it's, honestly, a very simple fix and since all these parts are so interchangeable they probably assumed you'd come across the solution.
However, I completely understand that you shouldn't have to do all of that with a product fresh out the box so I don't want you to think I'm making excuses. When you said you never took apart your lever in your razor it just struck a chord with me cuz I'm so versed with this stuff that I hope in your process to fix your victrix you realized how easy a lot of this stuff is and so you can get into a bit of customizing on your own.
    See you in SF6. 😉

Honestly sounds as if the pivot was probably placed the wrong way ( Up Side Down ) so the e-clip didnt have enough room to snap in. This happened to me, then i realized what was wrong, and I flipped it over. Either way, what ever the issue was, it must have been an easy fix. Its also understood that the main issue was the non response from the company. SMH.!! Personally, i wouldn't pay over $400 for any arcade Stick, i was fortunate enough to have a lil patience and came across someone who purchased a new Victrix to then find out he sucked at street fighter 6 and sold it to me for $200. Lucky me. 😂😂😂

I completely understand your frustration, specially being a premium product and all... but from what I'm seeing the fix to this is just tighten the e-clip with a plier, so you just wasted a lot of time and patience trying to reach Victrix for a solution.
Again, I undestand this should not be happening, but maybe there's a lesson to be learned with all of this: all arcade stick users must have spare parts avaiable to them, and also be able to do simple fixes like this.

Dude, it sucks that you had to go through that piss poor experience when buying a Victrix fightstick. Seems like Victrix needs to greatly improve their customer service. I own a Victrix Pro FS V2, and it's the best fightstick I've used in my life. I've owned it for a couple of years (even got a discount when I purchased it), and I've only ever had positive experiences with it, so it saddens me to hear that you had a completely negative experience not only using it, but also their customer service when trying to get it exchanged.
No matter what product exists and how high it's quality is, there will always be a very minut percentage of that product that are defective, but the customer service in terms of addressing those issues are what separates good companies from bad ones. I'm gonna look more into Victrix background to see if there were any changes to how they do things, or who runs or owns it. We're they always owned by PDP?

Honestly... learn how to take apart the hardware...... I mean all these arcade sticks are using similar parts that you can get anywhere!! What are you buying at this price? Brand name logo and assembly. If you build your own, you can actually get better hardware - not the default basic crap (it's meant for beating up over and over, over preference and feel), you can get better PCBs. ALL this stuff is so easy to get and install now. All you are buying from Vitrix or any other name brand Arcade stick is JUST THE CHASSIS. They get parts from other distributors and install it. Make your own better box for fraction of the cost of this.

@X_CHILLer_X That's one of the dumbest comparisons I've ever read. I love my arcade sticks, but I need a car. Also, the price difference between a car and an arcade stick is not even close. Lastly, this is a manufacturing error, and not putting the oil in the car is a human error. Now, if I neglected my arcade and that was the reason it wasn't working, that would be a different story.
A better comparison if you're going to use cars (which is stupid) is if you bought a brand new car and it wasn't running right. Would you fix said car yourself, or would you take that brand new car back to the dealer to find out what's wrong?????? Exactly, you would contact the dealer and take it back to see what's wrong with it.
