I drove a 1967 international travel-all 4x4 ex forestry truck from northern BC Canada (Tumbler Ridge) to southern BC in the middle of winter. Stopped for christmas at my mom's place (Williams Lake). Then made my way south. Just for the fun of it I was towing a 30 foot nomad travel trailer. Most the way I wore my snowmobile suit. The heater kept the windshield clear but not much else. Shut down a couple of times by carb ice. AH, the good old days.
Is it Me or does it look like he's driving a right hand drive jeep on a few scenes
Yeah it’s just the camera being in selfie.
Dude you guys just keep doing cooler and clooler shit. Whats next ??? This is awesome you need that chevy wrecker fixed now!!!
Haha, thanks! We got a ton of snow so the wrecker is on the burner till we can get the yard situated. Will find tires in the mean time!
I bought one of those, year? Don't remember, mine was a Cherokee Chief, Switched out the motor (someone else) and drove it for 3 or 4 years, then left New Mexico and took it approx 4500 miles to Anchorage, AK.
Minus that long intro, which is strategically and commercially used (well_beaten path), on the other hand, i believe youve got potential to succeed in this trade. Youve got look and capabilities.
Thanks 🙌🏼
Love anything from the 70’s but the scouts are the iconic dirt runner
🤙🏼
I'd love to have one of these. Straighten out the problems and they will go wherever you want
True that!
Im so happy you all got home safe.
Road trips and food, stay safe and consume some healthy calories, prepackaged meals. Avoid local chain or mom and pop meals. Fast food chains in some cases is even a "crap shoot" ....punny huh?😅😢😂
That Mexican was so good but so bad the next day. Think it was the chicken. I’ll be eating at home for the next few days for sure lol. Haven’t eaten much since!
Streamers 😊😊😊
I drove through Iowa once in January and froze my giblets off! As an Arizona desert rat, I don't know how you do it! Great video!
Thanks for watching! Wish we were in Arizona lol
I had one of those, wish I still had it. 258, I6, 4 speed, death trap. Still have my 85 Eagle and two 4.0 Grand Cherokee's so I haven't strayed too far from the fold.
4.0s are great!
Congrats Guy's, on making the trip back home in ur jeep cherokee 700 miles.
Thanks! It was a tough one 😆
Right thru my neck of the woods! Most people forget that the ozark mountains are in Arkansas. We do have a lot of flatland but a lot of mountains too. Sketchiest thing I’ve done with old junk is a got a 58 f350 out of a junkyard, got it running just in time for a car show/parade and turns out I cross threaded the brake line so it bled out and about 2 miles away from my house, brakes went to the floor. So I did the right thing and drove it 45 miles to the show, drove it in the parade and drove it home without brakes just to find out the next day the only issue was a cross threaded brake line
Hahaha! Sometimes you just go with the flow 😆 I personally love Arkansas and want to move close to bentonville
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps Bentonville is a great area! I live in Pocahontas (north east corner) and I love it! I’m right at the foothills of the ozarks but I’m also on the edge of the flat farm land so I get to experience both depending on which direction I want to turn out of my driveway
I’ve had 1 1977 Cherokee and 3 of the wagoneers. Love them. Best winter vehicles ever made.
We definitely need better tires lol
Glad you guys got our snow I didn't want it. Hello from Alberta Canada. If I'm being honest love your guys content. Keep it up
Thanks! Will do! Take your snow back tho plz
Glad you waited the last 50 to drive that Chevy. You most likely would have had to pull it with the jeep. Awesome video keep it up.
Thanks! That's the plan!
I like how that mud dauber was stacking dimes on your gas pedal
😆😆😆 was a pretty good beed
Would really love the Cherokee, been working on mostly jeep pick-ups '72 thru '79. Have done one each for son and daughter. All mine have been automatic not lucky enough to find a manual here in Montana yet. To me any jeep is a good jeep, keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks!
I’m driven my dad’s old ‘75 Toyota PU, I inherited. It’s not as sketchy but definitely not in prime shape. I’m definitely accustomed to driving a degraded vehicle. I am improving it though. Thanks for the encouragement. I like the two door Wagoneer & Cherokee.
One mod at a time!
I did own a 1970 international scout it was a eye sore but i did drive it about a year drivers door held shut with a bungee cord front brakes only ,gas tank was inside behind the driver's seat it burned oil as well
sounds like a time and a half bud
I actually own a 76 Cherokee S widetrac, so seeing this was a nice surprise! I wasn’t on a time crunch to get it going like you guys were, but I did get it going on the road again. Whole new brake system, radiator, etc. Hell, I drove it with the rotted exhaust for a bit so it partially dumped after the exhaust manifold. Mostly drove it to local car shows that way. Funny enough, my heatercore was also non functioning and I drove it in 30-40 degree temps a couple times. Just pointed the wing windows towards the windshield to try and prevent it from fogging 😂
Nice! At least she’s running and not on jack stands!
Get about 12 ft of heater hose and the biggest heater core you can find, run the hoses into front seat threw heater core. A fan is optional but it helps. A good plan would be get it home before a lift & big tires. Growing up in the late 50s early 60s I know about getting heat, I'm retired in Texas and I get vehicles like this a lot, last year got a J10 up in Arkansas minor rust. Don't miss the cold & snow.
We gotta move south lol
Can of rightstuff expanding foam goes a long long way to seal up holes. I use to take several runs over the passes here in my state, I froze my toes to the point of mild frost bite. One trip over I stopped to warm up grabbed a can of right stuff and sealed it off. Temp went up 20 degrees within minutes. 20 might not sound like the most but it was the difference between freezing and not freezing. Also had issues with my inner windows fogging. I used rain x whipes to take car of that...
Also helped a vehicle with an huge exhaust leak, keeping the fumes from coming into the cabin area
Back in the early 80s I drove my 1970 type three Volkswagen that had no heater tubes hooked up in December from Nevada Reno over to Shingletown California about half a foot of snow. I put steering brakes in it and had a blast the whole way on one lane highway at 55 was the speed limit not one jeep four-wheel-drive past me Retired US Army sergeant major Gamsby
Good memories!
Thank you for your service!! 🇱🇷
By far the best car channel out there, you guys are the real deal.
Appreciate that 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Opinions are subjective. I don't think it's the best by a long shot. Maybe one day though.
I see your channel growing to 100k within a year with this consistency in quality of content. 🎉
Hope so! That would be awesome!
K5 blazers were always my favorite. Im also a fan of all the scouts too.
My brother had a 1972 chevy blazer that was beautiful. Kind of a mint green with white top and interior.
Niceeee
Awesome video. Temps like that is one reason I dont miss living in Iowa now. I'm too old for that chit. LOL
We're getting tired of the cold lol
My favorite is a 1978 Ford bronco. I had one with the 351 m motor. Loved it.
Bro, have been suscribed your channel since power wagon, and your content just getting better than before, you guys have a ball of steel with your content, great! 😂
Appreciate that! Wish the views were the same as that one 😆😆
100% craziness! It's why I watch! Good job guys!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
i just love these videos! great to sees these dead trucks back on the road!
We appreciate that! It’s definitely an unforgettable adventure every one we revive haha
The freaking torch XD OMFG
You gotta do whatcha gotta do 🔥🔥😆
@@DailyDrivenDeathTrapsFire 🔥 fire 🔥 😍 😊
My favorite old 4x4 from the 80s is Toyota fj60 fj62s Landcruisers I have 18 of them I bet one would make it back to Iowa. Good content guys keep it up!!
Awesome, would be cool to revive one of those for sure. Thanks for watching!
Go get one and revive for your Mama! LOVE the FJ60's!!!!
I loved the deicing the window with a torch at a gas station pump. Too funny and you two are my kind of crazy 🤪 😜 🤣
Hahah, it was the best way for sure 😂
i really like 80s Suzuki samurai's and 80's Chevys and Toyota pickups
Great job. Another good one guys 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Get u a “buddy heater” they r safe cause they have a safety cut off. Works perfect for a situation like this.. great job!
Will do and thanks!!
I don't think I've ever seen one of those before jeeps in a couple of Silverados and a 86 Silverado I think it was a Cheyenne I miss that truck 6 inch lift big fat boggers on it
The 70s jeeps of any sort , with the original quadratrac drives were just the ultimate 4wd systems . I had 2 or them through the years past , and really wish I’d kept them . I’m willing to bet they would still today keep right up with anything made , where 4 wd is concerned .
We’d like to do an off-road challenge against all different 4x4s at some point
You boys got balls great job you’ll have zero problem selling that wish I lived closer I’m in boston
I could have given you some tips on driving that Jeep in the winter. You should have rolled your windows down a bit and left the top of the rear "window" open. It would have carried the condensation outside. Skip the heater and just add blankets and carharts, lol. I had a 1977 Cherokee Chief wide trac that was in worse condition than that one, body wise. It had a 401, turbo 400 trans, Quadratrac transfer case and Dana 44's front and rear. I daily drove that thing for years in Missouri winters and it never let me down.
Good info! Hopefully we dont have to put it to use because that sucked haha!
Berrymans b12 helps me with old ethanol in carbs, saved a couple rebuilds, good enough. Looks a nice adventure there
also I like the background helicopters, trains, trucks, etc. Makes videos feel more real
Will look that up, thanks!
Just subbed cant wait for more content with the jeep
At least you purged it up. Had a bad buffet in Little Rock, Arkansas and had streamers for the next 12 hours. Like turning on a faucet full blast 😮😮😮
Ugh that sucks, is arkansas known for that lol??
Excellent video
Glad you made it !!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool guys! Looks like you had a blast!✊
If that is a real stick truck, you have quite a rare rig on your hands. I would say 95% of those were Quadratracks. Nice score.
I love it guys! As a Canadian I understand the lack of heat issues driving an old vehicle in the winter. Love to see you guys road trip with a mopar to moparfest in South Western Ontario this August!
That would be sweet, maybe we could, lots of events this year haha
Joust found your channel guys and absolute love these rescues, keep up the good stuff 🤙🍻👍
Glad I found this channel and its cool to see it growing! Nice work.

Who needs floors? Amateurs! Lol
Only something to hold the gas pedal is all we need!

Great journey. I´ve had 1 -76 Wagoneer 360-4V+TH400+quadratrac; great Jeep, 1 -80 Cherokee 258+4 speed and 1 Cherokee XJ 4.0+Aisin+Selec-Track.
Awesomeeeeee
Not a minute in and can tell it’s gonna be a good video. Keep it up guys

Love ya'lls videos. Keep up the good work. Also, I love the Bronco 2s and the Lil s10 Blazers from the mid to late 80s

Man I bet that has to suck! dropping of a Ford and getting into a Chevy. Im sure that was the hardest part of the whole trip! lol Great video always entertaining!
Dude that was the worst trip. So mf cold and so sketchy all the way back home
Love the show keep up the great work guys and if you don't mind me asking on the 56 dirt track video what about the blue wagon at the door of shop

Great episode! Nice revive and drive. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great video guys! Those rigs look awesome if you find a older gladiator style grill quth the round headlights. They basically bolt right in. Hopefully youre warmed back up by now!
We are warm now! Gonna be 50 next week!
Good.job cool Jeep good show

Ford bronco 🐎🐎
My first truck was a 79K5 blazer had a floor rotted out. Might have some photos of it like old photo pictures not on phones man I love that truck Shibil try to find a K5 blazer.
Niceee
73 Wagoneer. Wish I never sold it. But that's what being 20 will do to ya.
Haha we totally understand that
I’m a Jeep guy but if I could have any SUV I’d pick an IH Scout
Nice find, I always wanted a k5 blazer.
I'm always seeing you RUclipsrs getting these cars with no heat. Why don't you invest in a diesel heater? Most of the cars you get have a hole somewhere that you can use to put the exhaust out. You would definitely be way more comfortable. I'm sure vevor would be happy to send you one.
not a bad idear long as the charging is up to pars
We actually have a diesel heater, would just need like a 3 way soft pipe, 1 for the windshield, 1 for feet and one for body lol. Even with that turbine, not enough heat could be directed everywhere.
I got a couple of those Mr Buddy heaters and you can use them inside because they have a carbon monoxide detector built into them in the tip over sensor to shut them off if they do tip over I've used them in my truck before they're pretty good 80 bucks I just picked one up for 30 bucks at the pawn shop brand new in the box the perfect size to sit on your seat put the seat belt through the handle on good to go
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps mine came with a T. You are really underestimating the heater. It will keep you quite warm. The small space of a car will only need the lowest setting.
@@M.TTT. the battery usage is minimal. I can heat my camper for a couple days before I even consider recharging the battery.
Next time I'm in Iowa. I'm coming to meet you guys😂
Haha, hit us up!
Sorry to hear you guys also got the -40.
*Though at least you weren't driving in the -40 without the heater core working and the propane heater pumping out water vapour. Though -26C is not exactly pleasant either.
Enjoying the old jeep content...thanks for saving it
Glad you enjoy it!
Cool truck man
Thanks!
i am new to the channel and just wanted to say love the video
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
Tom box road, been down there many times. Passed me at the maumelle exit. Great trip.
I had a 78 and a '79 Ford bronco XLT ranger with a 351M that stands for Michigan or modified water an amazing truck❤
That sounds awesome 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I have found the best thing for broken window or missing window is a clear shower curtain and packaging tape because packaging tape works in the cold and it sticks better than anything else on vehicles for some reason duct tape sucks Gorilla Tape sucks clear packaging tape works the best
Maybe we'll try that someday!
I need me a project like the classics you guys get shittt.definitely like all the videos need more lolll
@DailyDrivenDeathTraps I live n Arkansasas well. Was Ya'll round the Jacksonville/Little Rock Area? Thts the only place I can think of at the moment with a airport close and bein semi out n the country like setting. If so, wish I'd of known, would've loved to hve met ya'll. I'm only bout 1 hr North of ya. Love the videos. Cnt get enough of them. Stay safe guys.
Hey! We stayed in Little Rock and the drive to the house was round 15min. Thanks for watching, you as well!
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps I thought ya'll was n tht area. Thts crazy. Ya'll bein tht close to a fan and subscriber and not knowing is nuts to ya'll I bet? When u first said u was n Branson MO, I knew exactly where u all was at. I recognized the store and scenery. We go up there as often as possible and always stay for a few days. The drive once u get n to MO is absolutely the most relaxing and beautiful areas I hve ever got to drive through besides the 1 time we got to go to Florida and tht was just unexplainable how therapeutic tht was. But anyhow, glad ya'll made it home safe and next time ur down this general area, would love to meet ya'll if ya ever do a meet and greet type thing. We hve alot of the same things n common. Love older rigs, and all. Due to health reasons and lack of know how, idk how to work on them, but hve general knowledge bout problem diagnosing a few here and there. Thanks again guys. God Bless
love the old jeep Cherokees.
Strange mix of parts sometimes, but that's AMC.
Needs to be Cherokee Chief orange, that's good for at least 60 more ft/lbs torque.
I'd drive it.
Those damned back windows were always a pain, if they didnt wind up falling down, they'd get jammed in the tracks
or get stuck up and refuse to roll down.
What back window?! Hahaha
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps
Well, you have one.
Aint broke either :)
Probably need to source a new regulator assembly.
I'd drive it, no polar weather down here in florida.
Would have to pull the gearbox though and see about rebuilding it before filling it with mini gear teeth pieces.
Just found you subscribed a minute in looks good boys
Glad you like it!
Pretty sturdy little Jeep.
Never seen a first gen Cherokee, so far, lookswise i prefer it over an oldschool Blazer.
The fact its a manual transmission makes this one even better, if the clutch wasnt roached like this lol.
It def needs the grill, would look even better!

I dont know, but i imagine it to be quite similar.

That sucks uk police are like that!
My #1 is international scout my #2 is Cherokee chief
I would love to have this one!!!
$3500
The jeep did great I have my hand over my heart
4:50, Chevy Blazer Full Size…
Seafoam in the gas will help clean out the fuel system, including carburetor and or injectors.
This is an AMC Jeep, so that would explain the mismatch of parts, from GM Ford and Dodge.
48:34 in my 04 Subaru impreza, right as Winter started my blower fan took a sh**, when it was -20C I was driving around with a Propane Mr. Heater Little buddy in my passenger seat. I have heat as long as I am above 80 kph (50 mph), and the defroster kind of works. my hands and feet do not benefit from any heat most of the time. Thankfully my heated mirrors and rear window defroster still works.
Gosh that sucks haha. Little buddy got ur back
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps I was 140 km from home today working, in the pissing rain it topped out at +6ºC fo today's high, and driving to/from with almost no heat wasn't much fun.. I need to get that damn fan fixed.
How about looking for a ‘66-71 Jeepster Commando to rescue? They have I4 or V6 power plants in them. Uncommon and IMO cool little rigs.
