Ahhh, OP missed a golden opportunity at the end there...
When the brother flipped him off, OP should've called a manager on him to get him written up. It's even a good lesson, because that manchild is still an entitled brat if he thinks he can get away with flipping off potential customers.
😂😂 I was thinking the same thing. The brother should be taught about customer service.
Yeah, OP should've unleashed his inner Karen on his brother!!
No, the manager can look at the cam footage and clearly see op is taunting him.
@@penguinpingu3807 That's assuming it isn't your usual spineless manager who always sides with the customer.
I mean, just the phrase about crying on first day was enough 😂😂 and this sorry excuse of a man deserves to keep working not being fired, it would be a reward
OMGoodness, OP going to the video game store solely to bask in his golden child bro having to work for a change was insanely petty AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!
YEEESSSSSSSSS
p.s: You are probably the only other person I've seen use OMGoodness💀💀💀💀😭😭😭twin? 🥺🥺🥺 where have you BEEEENNNN???
I love the part where he said did our parents cry

Oops... sounds like someone's lies have finally caught up with them and the consequences are coming...
"but it's not OP who should suffer." The parents and Brother probably
Ngl op doing it at a wedding is fucked
@@PlaugeDoct0r No more than the parents demanding money from him.
@PlaugeDoct0r to be fair,he didn't blurt it out in front of everyone as an act of revenge. His parents confronted him IN FRONT of relatives, and that's how they found out. Technically it's his parents' fault

“Lie about the truth because we’re terrible parents who scammed our family for our golden child”
Thats a new one i gotta admit
should've reported him when he flipped you off and get him fired just to put a cherry on top
No, because working that job was more miserable than being fired for the brother.
Yes that's right it's like pouring water on fire. The job is literally fire. If this is the attitude he is gonna show this to other customers. They won't even care if he's a golden boy
@@sabarinathan6554 true true

Working at that job is a step towards improvement for the golden child. Let him continue working
Protagonist: “Aw, you got a job after 10 years! Tell me, mother and father cried like your first day of school?”
Brother: “🖕Leave.”
Hey now, he’s a customer! You need to register his crap and do your job.
Honestly I love this level of petty from OP. GC can't have free time, Parents can't pamper GC and OP came out as a victor.
All is right with the world
Op should've entered full karen mode and request his supervisor for the disrespect.
OP : manager !!
Well, that video game store will have one regular customer.
What game is it?
Parental Favoritism Backfiring
😂😂😂😂
Ironically, they would've gotten away with it if they hadn't been delusional anf stupid enough to think that their scapegoat child was still a doormat who would bend to their demands.
@@DarkEinherjar "And we would've gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you meddling scapegoat child!!"
Its Karma that hit thm back
First thy left OP to work out tuition for himself
Thn that got balls to cornor him at family gathering to bully him giving thm money..
Whn fell into their own traps and threatened OP....
What narcissist jerks, spoiling middle twenty something children is absolutely disgusting.
I love the older sons audacity . The parents screwed themselves
“Oh look, it’s the consequences of our actions! Are we really so terrible? …. No, it’s the son we hate that’s wrong.”
So they lied, stole and then tried to use the family to guilt money from op, and it is op's fault. I'd be like, when is the court date? cool, wana try and grab a seat
If people would raise their kids with equal effort and standards, stuff like this wouldn't be happening. But people just neglect and abuse like they have no choice.
Dude lol "You're not lying to cover up our lies?! You're responsible for this it's all your fault!" sounds about right
Absolutely NTA. Btw am I the only one who's getting Do It For Dan vibes?? 🤔🤔🤔
Golden Child trope haha😂
The irony was worth it
Sounds a lot like what happened with me. My sister is the firstborn, the favorite. They bought her a cell phone, gave her an expensive sound system, gave her a luxury car, always gave her what she wanted. I never got any of that. I left home at 18 years old, worked, got married, have a family now, I own my house, it's paid off, went to college and got my degree.
My sister is an obese lesbian, and needs therapy for her anger issues.
I was always the one that worked hard when I was asked, and I remember asking why they never asked my sister to help with gardening, chores, or any other work while she locked herself in her room listening to music and playing video games. My sister used to steal money out of our mother's wallet and dented the car while she was driving drunk, and she lived at home for so long as a 30+ year adult, yet my father only left his life insurance for my mom and my sister. We don't speak to eachother at all. We are very different from eachother.
Looking back, in hindsight, I thank God that I grew up (unspoiled) the way I did, it made me who I am today. Even though Abraham favored his firstborn son Esau, the unfavored son Jacob ended up receiving all the blessings from God instead; just like you, just like me.
Jesus that ending was legit amazing 😂
Wtf is with parents and wanting all the money they spent on their children for 18 years. For one, they are minors/children and you're required by law to provide for them. And 2, if you didn't want to spend money on them, then don't have children.
It more like they needed money to pamper the Golden boy instead of them actually struggling
Another family enabling their golden child kid and have a surprised Pikachu face when their other child doesn’t speak to them.
when the OP's brother had to get a job i was actualy shocked💀💀💀
The brother getting a job at the end was perfection
The brother is so spoiled rotten that he's like a tangerine rotting for so long it turns rock hard
OP is such a savage guy. I love it lmao
🤣🤣🤣
S1 - I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: “That which can be destroyed by the truth, should be.”
It's not his fault it's his parents fault for spoiling his younger brother and not helping is older brother.
16:01 Best part
The most funny thing is... That working is good for Jake...
So regardless all the crap your family put OP trough... He still the one who wants whats the best for his brother xd
If he really wanted to twist the knife he could have said in the end. "you know you aren't supposed to treat customers like that, can I speak to your manager."
The ending is priceless
Tell the 3 of them to get lost. You don't need them in your life.
Like the old saying goes, you reap what you saw. And realistically op was not to blame for any of this. if they had just shot their mouths at the wedding ( which I hope op’s cousin isn't mad with them for what happened) they would still have the money and be able to Comfortably retire…. or maybe not. also it wasn't the smart idea to borrow money you can't return! I mean I owned a couple of scents and I immediately paid it back the moment I could!
they really screwed themselves over realistically op was only The unwilling catalyst. they didn't want their parents to be embarrassed and financially broke. they didn't want their parents to have three different lawsuits. all they wanted to do was lift their life but their parents just couldn't keep their mouth shuts.
and this is what happens when you treat one child like they're made out of gold, titanium, platinum and diamonds and the other one like dirt. it will come back to bite you in the rear One Way or Another. also I very much doubt op could have done anything to prevent the lawsuits from happening. what she going to do pay off their debts for them? if I had to do that I would have them pay me back anyway.
at least they can now laugh seeing their brother finally having to get a job.
It's not that they can't, it's that they were never going to. They were going to retire, and they were obviously still going to take care of the baby they coddled for years.
@@Olimar92 ain't that the truth. but I think you can agree with me that op was the unwilling catalyst behind their entire lives being ruined.
OP isn't the jerk I mean come on did OP force the parents to borrow money and never returned it, no so the OP's family telling OP to get them out of the mess 'OP' created is irrelevant
Honestly, some of these AITAs are just ridiculous…!
“he r…. aped me three times but the third time I wouldn’t let him finish in me anymore. AITA..??!”
🤦🏻♂️
Ai stories be like...
11:10 LMAO that guy is a menace
I think OP should go Karen on his brother... and demand to speak to his brother's manager!!
Karma, is beautiful.
Nah, see, I would've done one better. No snarky comments, no quips, nothing. Just start asking him questions. About a game, a console, whatever. And don't let up. Be kind, but just keep the pressure on for him to answer questions. My bet is he would eventually snap, considering how he is, THEN you go full Karen and ask for the manager.
Nah. On top of all awfulness that would come with making up a lie to throw themselves under the bus to 'correct the injustice' OP would be on the hook for the money they saw no cent from instead and hounded as a villain by all friends and relatives if they don't do so immediately. Its much more than just 'taking a little blow to save parents reputation YOU ALONE ruined'
A short summary:
During the wedding Op's parents mentioned that he got a raise and they demanded he "contributed to the family". OP refused and snapped exposing the way he was treated his whole life. Then some relatives who gave OP's parents money for his tuition got to know that the money was given to the golden child. 3 people sued the parents and won which led to the fact that OP's brother had to get a job.
OP should have never open the door and left them outside and call the police, end of story.
Why’d it sound like the ai was about to laugh when he read more money😂?
I can never understand parents with fave kids. But alas, it happened in my dad's family.
Throw your video game controller at me 😂
Aww poor baby having to get a job
Actually in Asia it’s pretty common for adults to still live with their parents even past adult age but at least their making financial contributions
Won't _anyone_ please think about Dan!?
Dont doubt yourself. This is survival of fittest. If you wanna save yourself from toxic community. Do what's best and don't take comments. In a video game just because the evil boss begs you would you shut the game down? No. You end the boss and move on with it
I’m going to sound weird but I actually enjoy having a job, it gives me a purpose and I feel better about myself.
No way were brother, got a job😱
How is it they could rationalize op being at fault.
No of course not the parents are absolutely horrible
Snapshot the conversation between you and your brother just in case they try to say they are the victim
If he told you to leave the store, why didn't you report him to his boss
I don't know if this story is real o not... but is interesting.
And all of this happend just becouse they didn, t pay for the Knowledge You didn, t need
Narcs value nothing more than their reputation, so them going around to relatives and telling a story that makes them seem like the victims to get attention/pity is definitely in line for people who need a supply, especially when the scapegoat/golden child dynamic isn't doing enough amymore. OP's brother is a spoiled POS, but I genuinely hope him getting the job at the video game store will help him learn some actual responsibility. It's a long shot, but a shot nonetheless. Good that OP came out on top in the end!
OP should make videogaming his new hobby. Only to petty his brother because he has to serve the client in a modest way 🤣 it would be reason enough to start liking and playing videogames
Ah yes the Do It For Dan like ever since a Reddit user made an alias about his brother named Dan it now because a meme for every golden child story
It’s time for op to try some games
The teeth comment 😂

In reality, it's ok to have favorites among your kids but it can't be so obvious. You can't treat one like gold and the other one like trash. That's just flat right abuse and shame on those POS parents for doing that.

The moment she said her brother had to get a job I was so happy

So I haven’t watched this but right away just off the title. A lot of parents can’t afford college . Especially when the kids want to pursue a pointless degree. As a college graduate myself , I honestly think college is a scam 🤷🏽♂️
Wow im early don't know what to say lol
Talk about entitled saying ***waa waa, they wouldn't pay for MY college >:( *** Now see whos the entitled one.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wut even is this y do u type that much but u have it on the thumbnail
On a side note i keep seeing these stories that are absolutely angry, hurt and it sad that they're parents won't pay for college for their children. I understand helping a little but.... After becoming an adult (and probably couldn't wait to be and demand to be treated like one, even moving out on to their own. Then to expect that after 18 (probably much more than that some people especially lately) years sounding the Insane amount of money it take to raise a child. Then just expecting these parents who have raised and sacrificed for you all your life,... And just expect your parents put themselves in heavy debt (when it possible they've recently finish a lot) to put you through college and not work and possibly live in dorms or apartments.
That's a lot of entitlement.
ALL of that is True but you didnt take to consider that the GOLDEN CHILD had the expensive stuff and everything that is the case why he is angry or him or her or they or wathewer the fu**
No one owes you college
One thing I'd suggest is OP start gearing up to not be so callus on giving out the help his brother and parents were asking for. I'm not saying he cave to their demands, but if the brother's been allowed to do whatever he wanted, OP might be an uncle several times over and might find himself the best positioned to help those kids since their father and grandparents probably won't be willing or able to for quite some time.
Ur not entitled to ur college paid for by ur parents, it’s a privilege
But to ensure one kid gets it and tell the other kid to get lost, what would you call that?
Agreed, but when they said they could only pay for one to to go to college, which was his brother, while borrowing money for op to "go to college" and lie about paying it in front of family, that made them the ass holes.
I am entitled to expect my parents to provide equal and fair treatment between me and my siblings, though.
That's true, but the Parents laughed at him and said they'd only pay for the Golden Child, who was never going to get a job anyway. He asked, and it was treated like a joke.
