Civil services bring job security, which is what is believed by a large number of people in our country. For another section of people, it is believed that civil services will bring them power and will elevate their social status. And finally, there's another section of people who want to clear this prestigious competitive exam to be able to serve the needy with basic amenities, and also to be able to increase the standard of living of all citizens of the country.
This series will be a sneak-peak into the life of the Officers on Duty - what happens on a day-to-day basis, what are the challenges faced, how they are creating an impact? and so on.

Why do you think Government provides this benefits to them? They could have easily done the way you are saying. Think. Also check how much perks and benefits Judges are being given from lower judiciary to higher judiciary. They are also public servants.

IFS officers get an average of around 3-4 lakhs rupees in entry level.. There are many other allowances like seperate money for cloths, travel, some grocery, additional requirements and more.
I have seen an video of IFS officer of around 20 years experience. He said his salary alone is more than 7 lakh rupees. If you add total amount that they get (without including the perks), their salary will be more than 10 lakhs per month, for 20 years experience. At entry level you may get around 5 lakhs.
You can eat, travel in a costly car, free allowances and bla bla.... You still can save entire salary by living a lavish life 🥶🔥

@@jaihind5902 if u consider PPP then that 7 lakh in foreign currency will come out to be 90k in indian currency. All depends on the country and value of that currency,

IAS अधिकारी जब-तक जिले में तैनात रहता है तब-तक बहुत आकर्षित लगता है लेकिन जब उसकी तैनाती सचिवालय या किसी विभाग में हो जाती है तब उसको केवल एक गाड़ी और ड्राइवर ही मिलता है और वह बहुत फीका लगने लगता है। IAS अधिकारी कुछ वर्ष ही जिले में तैनात रहते हैं उसके बाद वे ज्यादातर सचिवालय और विभागों में ही ड्यूटी करते हैं।गाड़ी या परिवहन भत्ता में से कोई एक ही मिलेगा, दोनों एक साथ नही मिलता है।

Most of these facilities are given to every Group A services officers, except NSO and stay at state bhavans.
It was really connecting emotionally with all the episodes as of now based upon the IAS serving officers like Soumya ma'am & Maj. Manivannan. Very helpful crisp and insightful motivational aspects we have got from all these episodes.

To me it is very sad that starting salary is 56k only after that much struggle (it's world's one of the toughest exam)but salary only 56k?
It should increase....
Government has its own limits. If politicians stop eating up the tax payers’ money, salary will increase automatically. I wonder why public doesn’t voice against this.
56k is just basic pay.

The idea of IAS being a prestigious govt job was coined by Britishers for the Britishers to project power across the native population. India will only progress once IAS officers are stripped from their luxurious innovas etc, big govt houses, etc, the more they are like a regular private sector employee makes it more approachable to the common man, they are supposed to be public servents, not kings or princes, look at Scandinavian countries their ministers / public servants like administrative officers do not roam around in hifi cars or live in large govt provided bunglowes.
This is good and keeps us in a motivated state
It is a hard work because mind is a sharp

Poochta Hai Bharat (पूछता है भारत) aakhir Q ki thi engineering aur doctors jab service nahi dene thi... policymaking & beauracracy hi karni thi to simple graduation kar ke IAS bante .... Doctors & engineer jo ias bannte hain time aur money dono barbaad karte hain...🙂✌️
