Yes bro u r absolutely correct one only gets corrupted when he or she is not financially sound.they should atleast increase the salary to 4 to 5 lakhs per month for entry level
@@Ladwindersingh8629 Even you give 4 lakh salary , netas will offer 10 lakh commission or will issue threats to control the officer. Greed has no upper limit. Honest officers will be satisfied with 75k entry salary, corrupt minded officers with no spine to face pressure will be corrupt with even 4 lakh salary..
@@sanjay59741 well if u talking about salary it's nothing compared to the hardwork u put in and secondly if u talk about honesty if u go abroad a truck driver in Canada and USA earns way more than a cabinet secretary ias top rank (just in numbers if we talks about about per month salary only) . So if a guy who is just 10 pass in abroad with no skill earns way more than an ias what is the point of even going in such services if in our country they can't give u an honourable salary so that every civil servant atleast think once before getting into corruption and illegal means if that's so ??
@@Ladwindersingh8629 First, a truck driver abroad doesn't earn more than Cabinet Secretary in purchasing power parity term. A truck driver in Canada earns between $80000CAD -$140000CAD which after tax and deduction is between $62,000CAD and $90,000CAD approx per year which is about 3 lakh to 4.5 lakh per month. But if you take in purchasing power parity and expenses, this salary in Canada is worth 60k-90k per month in India. Canada has lack of low skilled worker which India does not have. It is an egalitarian society where a bureaucrat earns only at at minimum, 0.7 times and at maximum 1.5x times than a truck driver. If you check the salary of a bureaucrat in Canada, it is after tax 2.5-6lakh INR which translate to 50k-1.3lakh Indian after adjusting to purchasing parity and expenses. You cannot compare a developed country with India. You can do that when India becomes a developed country.
@@Ladwindersingh8629 I think u are not familiar with purchasing power it is different in different country obviously a truck driver in usa earns more but their purchasing power is same as the middle class people in India for example if you are buying a water bottle in India which is around 20 rupees u will get the same 1 ltr bottle at around 160 rupees around 8times more expensive so I would suggest go read about it or watch some video. Just setting ssc image as profile pic won't pass u the exam u have to study
Entry level pay Rs.56,100/-. After rendering 33 years service, pay will be Rs.2,25,000/- per month. Please do not glorify unnecessarily. If they are honest, they cannot meet decent household expenses for initial 10 years of service.

IAS salary is too less, the government need to increase their salary to avoid corruption, handsome salary need to be given, since it is the highest post in our country,
Salaries need to be increased a lot if we expect IAS to remain honest. The present salaries are way too low for the work burden these officers have and makes corruption seem almost like a necessity. Salaries should be comparable to corporate sector if we want best talent to take up these jobs and the benefits of skilled and honest workforce are way higher than the small increase in salary burden.
@Ahmad Rahman Woh toh corporate job me bhi milta hai. Ek IAS jitna kaam karne wale private employee ko kitna salary milta hai? Yaha tum itna Sara power dekar IAS ko bahut kam salary pe honesty dikhane ke liye keh rahe ho joh mumkin nahi hai.
If they want salary like a corporate sector, those officer should also get fire in one big mistake like reh handed caught corruption Thry don't deserve job security
Modern day students do not prefer these jobs. Nowadays there is extreme pressure in these jobs besides the respect of these posts have also gone. Since once Britishers held these posts, so from the colonial mentality ordinary people used to worship them. But that was respect mixed with fear. After independence the colonial mentality took time to get washed up and now in modern era it is completely gone. So now public perception towards these people is no more unique, rather they are seen negatively due to corruption. The post do not command respect any more as it used to be. They are public servants and thus public is king now. Anyway their office staff give respect to them as with other jobs too. So neither money nor respect is there to attract people to these jobs. Only UP and Bihar students are mostly eager for this posts.
I do agree. However salaries for public servants and corporates can't simply be on par. One works for the sake of profit and the other works for the people. That is why civil servants must possess the ardent desire or passion to help people in some way or another. But speaking in the modern day perspective It seems as if most people/aspirants do it for the power, money(corruption) and authority.
@@leoa8644 No person can sustain working solely for passion for 30+ years, especially when there are tremendous incentives to be dishonest. The cost of paying higher salaries is less than the damage done to economy due to corruption. Also, company owner works for profit, employees get paid for their work. It's not like higher profits of company will result in higher salaries. Even bonuses are mostly tied to your performance than company profits.
More than the salary, the opportunity to serve the people, reach out to a larger section with command on all departments including Banks etc. Yes politicians interference is there everywhere and many of them are most egoistic, narrow minded and selfish. Still IAS officers can deliver if they remain honest, sincere and sensitive to the people's needs. If you do not have a burning urge and determination in your heart to become an IAS officer, do not attempt. If you do not have strict discipline in preparation and are not willing to devote full concentration, do not attempt. This exam is a different kind, UPSC tests you differently. That is why you will become a different boss to every one, every field, sector and take control of the situation everywhere. That gives the real pleasure & satisfaction, not the salary.

No doubt the value of the post is worth more than a millionaire but Expenses vs Less in hand salary below 90K INR in the initial years of their job (4-8years) in the career of an IAS officer isn’t sufficient to keep their living standard according to the post thus maximum IAS become corrupt to double their income and sideline with politicians for promotion and other benefits.
Then why pay salary to soldiers... Ask them to guard the border for free.... We need to get out of this socialist mindset.... People work for money and incentives... Its the basic thing that motivates them to work harder....
