Normally his co hosts are big into trying stuff or teaching you about their food/culture, and this time it was really neat to see sonny take on that role with someone who is local but is there to learn more about her own history and culture. I think she did a great job and even if she didn't appreciate the food for it's flavor she definitely showed appreciation for the experience. Was nice to see someone learning more about themselves through this lens. Great series 🎉

This channel is easily one of my favorite channels. I love the unique foods, and what I love the most is the different cultures that are not known to many. Oh and Kay was a great cohost.
Watching this show is now an therapy for me. Going through rough phase of life ,but after a long day, i watch this show and i don't know how/why -it's so relaxing and completely get rid of my build up anxiety . Thankyou sonny 👍🏾.
I say the same thing until I see Sonny with his next guest host. He just has great chemistry no matter who you stick besides him but also the people who they do find to guest host always bring their own flair too. Kay is probably in the top 10 or top 5 guest hosts so far.
The food looks really good 👍🏼 Mayan cuisine somehow seems familiar yet interesting. Love your interactions with Kay and local people, even when they were clueless about your random jokes 😆
I love this show because it not only appeases my love of exotic meats and sea food, but it also puts a major emphasis on the cultural background and necessity of hunting some of these rare species of animals
I had a friend from Brownsville Texas, and he said he grew up hunting and eating Chachalaca from the nearby woods. By the way that animal that was shot is not a badger (weasel family), it is a coatimundi more closely related to raccoons.
Another wonderful immersion into a culture with a brave and lovely co-host. Sonny I would love to see you take the $100 challenge in Marrakech, Morocco.

That's something I would honestly spend thousands to experience 😊. Also, shoutout to the awesome cameraman/woman, we don't know who you are but tell sonny to share some food with you too at least once

Another great video sonny, I wish I was there in Mexico to guide you more around Mexico and inform you about the true Origins of each dish you try. The pipián dish did not Originate with the Mayan civilization, pipián is a Nahuatl name it’s the language of the Nahua tribes of central Mexico 🇲🇽. The pipián is prepared all over Mexico now and it gained popularity when the Spanish were introduced to it in Mexico.

That's a deer drive Will. You could have learned about this in your hometown, But still an amazing episode. You can't hunt deer with dogs in American that's for sure 😉.

I love how Sonny is genuinely appreciative , humble and respectful to these traditions. This is how all people should be.

What they translated as a badger is actually a coati! Closer to a raccoon than a regular badger.
Finally someone commented this..
Quati in Brasil - they trully are our Raccoon counterparts and will eat all they can from your trash and steal from you kitchen! 😅
