This mousepad is so large ! Mine is just a tiny circle filled with a semi-random pattern of dots and glitter looking like an holographic picture. It is washable and has been used daily for more than 10 years without any noticeable change in print quality or mouse pointer drifting.
I think on engineering related videos like this one, it would be more interesting to hear more of Alex/other LTT engineers rather than Linus saying "a bunch of stuff" everytime
Thanks for the fnatic recommendation! Love the review and test process, but not a fan of all the colors and busy design of the current LTT pad. Hope the pro pad is a bit more muted.
Picked an LTT pad up anyways, lol. Design isn't as in you face in person as I thought it'd be. Quality wise, yeah, this thing is on point. Much nicer than the Glorious pad that it replaced. Well done LTT
That is why you don't just buy the mousepad. You buy an LTT store waterbottle, hoodie, pillow, laptop case, gpu, branded PC, and car all at the same time. You save so much on shipping!
I've been using this metal razer pad for over a decade, still works and is just as new as day one, because it's made of metal. I mean it has some stuff on the metal but it hasn't worn at all. Good stuff.
We don't really know what R&D other reputable mousepad makers go through. This was LMG's first go at it. If they keep making new designs, they should just use the same mousepad material without having to re-research it.
After years i finally caved and visited the lttstore. Needed a new mousepad, but the shipping costs to europe are criminal. Had to add some other stuff to warrant the purchase and fill your pockets even more... So my dog now has a nice meme pillow with your face on it. Since he enjoy's the occasion pillow hump, i'll throw his old one out and let him have his way with you. Ps. Thanks for putting so much effort into the products you put up on your store, it's really appreciated. Keep it up.
I'm SUPER interested in the DPI adjustments you had to make. I've been speculating on this for years because I know a mouses sensors native DPI is different than what you can set it in the software. Because of this I know that the further you are away from native in software the more the errors become magnified.
Pros to all LTT team for pursuing the best product possible. It would be so easy to use a 'under-optimal' provider and get a design in 5min and call it a day but you guys went for it and made it happen! Congrats!
RnD was shown being performed on a black pad. What I'm wondering is does the final print on the pad have any effect on accuracy? Just curious. Cool stuff either way.
it is a full desk pad, the part on the right for your mouse is still black. he explained it in the SC video that they kept the right part black for the mouse, so i assume that printed color will affect the mouse tracking
Just wanted to say thanks for the 900x400mm pad I just ordered yesterday after watching this! My desk previously didn't have room for any of your sizes the way it was laid out, but I just put my monitors on the wall mounted to arms, and moved my speakers from a terrible 90 degree triangle arrangement (my desk is a corner desk with my subs under it in the corner, used as much for audio monitoring as it is for some absolutely fantastic sounding game sessions), to a standard 60 degree arrangement. had to turn them sideways but that's actually pretty common in studio setups anyway due to the same space constraints I ran into. Wasn't sure what desk pad I wanted to buy until I watched this video, and my current mousepad has roughly the same depth as the pad I picked up (mine's 16" but whose counting 12mm or so). It'll definitely help round out the whole setup that's for sure.
shipping costs arent the only problem, the european import fees have changed since the end of last month and made everything incredibly expensive. i wanted to get some merch from another american youtuber and i literally cant afford it seeing how a 20$ item will cost me almost a 100$ with shipping + import fees. absolutely insane.
Yeah when I saw the CNC rig I was hoping there'd be a durability test involved. I guess at this point they've been out long enough that we'd know if there were durability issues.
I thought about getting one but even the smallest one is WAY too big for my tiny keyboard tray, unless one day I actually get a full desk. They look great but my feedback is I didn't buy one because they are just TOO big for a normal desk keyboard tray. If you guys have them in stock after I finally upgrade to a normal desk that has tons of space I totally want one. I see they're in stock again now so I guess I just have to buy the tiniest version and see if that fits? My biggest problem with all mouse pads is that they eventually get flimsy and start doing this thing where they like fold upwards on the corners after extended use, and once they do that there is no way to get them to be completely flat again. So I've gone through many mouse pads over the years and have no clue if the LTT mouse pad will do the same thing after a year or two, I'm guessing they won't because they have stitched edges on them so that is nice. In conclusion buying a $30 USD mouse pad plus shipping for something I won't use right now because the smallest 900mm X 300mm is still too large for a keyboard tray (I have to use a numpadless Corsair K65 LUX keyboard + a logitech G pro wireless to fit in my tray), I just keep buying Steelseries QCK mousepads every year or two once they get foldy on the edges since they're only like $10, I'll have to try a stitched edge QCK version eventually. I def want one because the art is very nice but I'd probably be folding them over onto my keyboard with how long they seem to be.
@@neondemon5137 That's probably why they fold/fray upwards on these Steelseries QCK's because the ones I get are not stitched on the edges. I thought about getting one of those edged stitched ones last time so next mouse pad I get maybe I will try that.

4. Drag resistance (again inspire in project farm) both pad+desk, pad+hand
I was LITERALLY just looking for a bigass mouse pad. Perfect timing Linus.
If only they could have gotten it to smell like Canadian maple too. Then it might have been perfect.
Should smell Like tim hortons
Or maybe print “The Toronto Maple Leafs lost to a 42 year old zamboni driver WHO WORKS FOR THEM” on the back.
I needed a desk pad... and got one... from you! Shipping rn, hope its good!
This mousepad is so large ! Mine is just a tiny circle filled with a semi-random pattern of dots and glitter looking like an holographic picture.
It is washable and has been used daily for more than 10 years without any noticeable change in print quality or mouse pointer drifting.
Big Fan Here LMG. Been here for quite a bit. Hope u guys are doing well. Would love to see more videos featuring Dennis tho.
Ordered two in milliseconds! Been waiting for THIS FOREVERRRR!!!
I’d love to see a more greyscale mouse pad so it would actually fit in my setup
linus should've used artisan as a supplier, imagine an LTT hien
Artisan can barely keep up with their stock :(
@@Pado01 pain
@@Pado01 still though. Would be insane.
@@ReviewedByAndy Yeah I'm planning on a XL Otsu, but would love a deskpad version.
Love you guys for putting metric next to imperial sizes in the store.
Best sponsor ever! I give Yubikeys out as gifts to friends/family that need them
I think on engineering related videos like this one, it would be more interesting to hear more of Alex/other LTT engineers rather than Linus saying "a bunch of stuff" everytime
i agree
Please make more videos like this showing behind the scenes of your product designs. This was fun to watch!
Nah Linus, your testing was all wrong, we all know that RGB is the source to get 1000% mouse accuracy
0:25 linus : and you baught them all again
me: ill do it again
A cool video idea would be Steve from gamers Nexus and Linus exchanging merch and doing a review on those, could be really fun :D
I purchased this mousepad finally and it is without a doubt an astronomical upgrade from the old mat I had . 10/10 I will buy again!
sadly, where i live the cost of shipping is equal to the price of mousepad itself and i'm talking about the 1200x700mm variant
But ur Tony stark ..
That is why you don't just buy the mousepad. You buy an LTT store waterbottle, hoodie, pillow, laptop case, gpu, branded PC, and car all at the same time. You save so much on shipping!
don't they cost the same no matter the size?
Yeah, I'm in the UK and a $30 deskpad with $20 shipping is pretty steep.
@@Faabiyen good idea, consider it done
Doesn’t he know that we are all professional gamers that would notice the difference?
I've been using this metal razer pad for over a decade, still works and is just as new as day one, because it's made of metal. I mean it has some stuff on the metal but it hasn't worn at all. Good stuff.
*Unbiased Review*
Literaly shows a product that I want.
I feel like LMG has put more R&D into making a mousepad than actual mousepad makers.
Actual makers just order it in bulk from China and slap logo
Keep it up.
LTT: "Only the best for our costumers!"
Linus: "I mean... good enough for our costumers."
Congrats!
I feel really good about getting your mousepad a couple months ago :)
Also any tips on how to clean them?
So when will we start seeing some hard mouse pads in the LTT Store? I switched to hard mouse pads and never went back to soft again. Ever. 😎👍👍
I'll be the first to buy one
I just now got this notification for this specific upload.
Wow 4 days late RUclips.
Nice.
Having worked at Fnatic and having used several of their mousepads, I can only confirm that the LTT mousepad is superior in every way.
I'd buy this in a heartbeat if shipping weren't so expensive to Europe. I'd pay more for shipping than the pad is worth :(.
Would certainly be worth them getting some sent to fulfilment centres in Europe directly to avoid double import fees.
See if you know anyone locally that also wants one, that way you can split shipping costs with them :)
shipping costs arent the only problem, the european import fees have changed since the end of last month and made everything incredibly expensive. i wanted to get some merch from another american youtuber and i literally cant afford it seeing how a 20$ item will cost me almost a 100$ with shipping + import fees. absolutely insane.
It's good that the pads were tested for movement accuracy, but did they get tested for ordinary durability too?
Yeah when I saw the CNC rig I was hoping there'd be a durability test involved. I guess at this point they've been out long enough that we'd know if there were durability issues.
Wow, the mini Noctua fan is by far the cutest thing i have ever seen :)
This is actually much bigger than usual RUclipsr Merch, actual R&D was done here. Props yo LMG!!
I’d like to personally give an award to the people who commented “first” to commemorate their stupendous achievement
Dude, ur Bad Batch and Loki Breakdowns are really well done!! Keep it up 👍
LTT Employees should be submitting research for the PhD thesis with all these experiments..
After watching a lot of desk setup videos, I realized I wanted a desk pad. I loved the desk pad that you created. I had to wait for the second round to get mine, but I’m very happy with it.
Yes the shipping was expensive (EU) but it was totally worth it. The best mousepad I've ever had. Wish I would've bought the biggest one though...
