    The Pen Spring was a game changer with my Warrior . Exactly what i needed. funny thing when i cleaned the Carb today i saw the plunger stuck down in the bottom of the hole.amd i said that needs a heavier spring. but went ahead and put the original one back in. then a went back on youtube and saw your video. had to tear it back apart to replace the spring. what a difference. Thank you its likea whole different bike.

    i have a 95 model Warrior too man. you can tell because they only made the 95’s with the Blue/Yellow plastic. i wish mine looked as good as yours! the last owner was pretty rough on her, but she’s getting there!

    Was not aware the warrior had an accelerator pump. Thats probably why it would bog when I would first hit the gas along with the clogged piolet jet.

      @everythingmechanical_yt  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, often times when the machine is cold, the quad will bog when you hit the gas

    The air/fuel screw will make the quad idle up but thats not the idle adjustment. Thats to make sure the engine is getting the right amount of fuel with the amount of air and the temperature of the air coming in and you should adjust it when the temperature changes drastically for it to run optimally.

    • @everythingmechanical_yt
      @everythingmechanical_yt  3 года назад +1

      My wording in the video is unclear, I meant to say it's the air/fuel adjustment for the idol, since the air/fuel ratio at mid range and full throttle can only be adjusted by changing the main jet size.

    • @everythingmechanical_yt

      @@joshlatcha9540 your carb probably has the factory spring wich is really weak. Take the spring out of the carb and replace it with one from a BIC pen. It sounds like a bad modification but a lot of people do it including myself. It adds just enough pressure so that it doesn't get stuck anymore

    I just installed a new aftermarket carb on this, (still have old original) I got it tuned so it runs pretty well cold, but right away when it warms up if I pull the throttle quick it bogs hard. At high rpm high speed full throttle it sounds like misfire or backfire and doesn't go anywhere, and can die. Restarts just fine at a stop. Is the aftermarket carb just junk? Is the accelerator pump stuck out of the box? Stronger spring? Pretty frustrating

    I'm getting ready to buy a Warrior 350. It has a carb problem. I'm gonna go with the goofit card from Amazon like you said was good. I'm not mechanically inclined, so is there anything I need to know when putting this new carb on, or anything I should do?. I'd really appreciate your help if you have the time to help me. Thanks gor your time , video's,and help.

      Hope you enjoy your new warrior. Replacing the carb is pretty straightforward, only thing is you may need to adjust the idol after it's installed. Basically just turn the screw that limits how far down the throttle plate can go on the carb

    just rebuilt my mikuni carb on my 93 warrior. Reason being a bog when accelerating. doesn't idol well at all after rebuilding it with the rebuild kit, nor does it accelerate very well. i also need the idol screw to be turned all the way in for it to even idol, and its spitting white smoke. It is getting cold over here in Utah but that shouldn't make it run this bad no? Is there supposed to be a little o ring on the air/fuel mixture screw before installing? there wasn't when i took it apart but a another guy on yt said there is supposed to be one there. Help please.

    • @everythingmechanical_yt
      @everythingmechanical_yt  10 месяцев назад +1

      No the cold wouldn’t make it run that bad and yes there should be an o ring towards the tip of the air fuel mix screw before you put it in. Underneath should be a washer and then spring.

    • @everythingmechanical_yt
      @everythingmechanical_yt  10 месяцев назад +1

      Turning the idol screw in should lean the idol fuel ratio out, so it sounds like it may be running rich. I would check and make sure your main and pilot jet are installed correctly and clean the choke circuit. Also check your needle position on the slide. Let me know if that helps!

    • @everythingmechanical_yt
      @everythingmechanical_yt  10 месяцев назад +1

      Also make sure all diaphragms are in good shape, float height, and that the needle is seating correctly

      Idols really good. Put a pen spring in accelerator pump. Running way better , however it boggs reallly bad at low throttle but runs great at full throttle. Just put a new pilot jet in there too

      Bottom line is a drain. run it anywhere gas wont explode. aka low heat area. (mine runs in-between the swing arm behind the rear shock)

    So it runs good with the carb rebuild and ultrasonic clean? Would you recommend buying the other carb u have the zoom zoom carb? I bought a '90 warrior 350 doesn't run good at all, backfires through carb at idle almost dies and you cant give it more than 1/2 throttle with this carb ive done the new carb boot like u. it doesn't have the right carb on it im pretty sure the carb is from like a big bear 350 or something

    • @everythingmechanical_yt
      @everythingmechanical_yt  3 года назад

      Yeah it runs great with the oem mikuni carburetor on it! The zoom zoom parts carburetor I added to my warrior in an older video didn't last long at all. I actually noticed an imperfection in the casting letting in air from the outside. I then added a goofit carburetor wich I got off Amazon and that worked great, I probably could have kept using it if i just cleaned it out and adjusted the fuel air ratio at idol. If it does have a carburetor off another yamaha 350cc, it should run fine but it may be a little bit slower since their is no accelerator pump. A good way to tell is to see weather the slide inside is vacuum actuated or not. If it is, its probably for a wolverine or big bear or something. Let me know if this helps!

    • @everythingmechanical_yt
      @everythingmechanical_yt  3 года назад

      If I were you, I would go with a goofit carburetor off Amazon. That one was pretty good quality compared to the other Chinese ones I've seen. Zoom Zoom is really hit or miss, I got one for my Yamaha wolverine 350 and you can see in my latest video, it's good quality and the quad runs great with it

    That’s not how u fix the excel pump mod you need to use a small rubber hose that slide in tight on the pump plunger so it advanced an start pushing plunger as soon as you hit the throttle
