Josh, take it back to the dealer and see if he can fix it immediately. If not then get the Scag and try it out if you like it. Make sure you get a new 2023 model. Good Luck!
Thanks! Yea I went to dealer this morning. They got me hooked up so I will have a new video coming up soon 👍. Kinda sucks but I am just tired of the not so small issues🤷.
I bought a new Kubota in 2013, and it now has over 800 hrs. with no problems. It is a ZD326, 60 inch deck, sometimes its better to spend the extra money for tools that last. This is a diesel that is very good on fuel. My only costs have been for new blades, as I do my own service work. I would buy a low hour used 326 diesel before any new mower today, and yes I used this one commercially for the past ten years.
That was something I had wondered about but had a lot going on to worry about fooling with it. My dealer was cool and got me swapped out for a new VRide 2 👍.
We use toros I have 2k hours on a year and a half old machine no issues! Bad boy mowers are a newer company with more affordable units but I have faith in them to get better. I’m going to try two of them this year to see how they run!
I bought a 54" magnum two days ago. Mowed for an hour and shut it off to stretch my legs. Hopped back on it and dead as a doornail. One hour on it and I had to put it in the shop for repair. The mechanic said he believes one of the safety switches failed.
Feel like it was just my luck this year to get the lemon. I know some people who have Badboy Mowers and love them. One person I spoke with about this mower has had one for over 3 yrs and it's his primary mower for his business. Just the way it goes I guess. Hope yours if fixed soon!
I’m having a similar problem. What ended up happening with you and the mower . I’m so frustrated . I do have the 5 year warranty but getting them to come and get it and do without a mower at all is a problem !
I didn't find out what they fixed, I ended up being able to take it back and swapped for a SCAG VRide 2. They just paid the BB loan off and did new financing for the SCAG 👍
Foot pedal safety switch needs adjusted. Me personally I just took switch off and put a 10 Amp fuse in the 2 wires. Never had a issue since. 108hrs now.
It was, I ended up turning it back into the dealer and switched to a SCAG VRide 2. It has been a solid d machine so far, over 300 hrs👍. Thanks for watching 👊
Not thinking that was it because once the mower sat and cooled down, it would go back to working properly. That's what had me thinking internal issue on the transaxle.
Sounds to me like your fuel tank is not venting properly. Check for vent lines at or near the top of your fuel tank. A clogged vent would mean the tank forms a vacuum as the level drops
My John Deere 797 with a Kawasaki engine was shutting down like yours and it was the fuel filter, also on the drive wheel on the drivers side the parking brake pad was to tight and when it heated up it would drag.
I will have to try that in the future if I have another mower doing it. Ended up going back to the dealer and they took it back in. I went with a SCAG VRide 2 and it has been great so far...up to 86 hrs already 👍. Appreciate the info and thanks for watching!!
The last couple years bad boy has pushed there employees to get quantity not quality, there production number requirements per shift keeps rising and have switched to mostly robots so there not hand welded anymore
Yea...they got real popular real quick and it has cost in some aspects of the build trying to keep up with the demand. I still think they make a good machine overall. They all have their problems I guess🤷👍. Thanks for watching 👊
There's one particular yard My Spartan wants to cut out and die on and it takes it a while to crank back up this last time I mowed it it didn't do that. I think mine acts weird when going in reverse sometimes act sluggish or something as well
Crazy stuff man. I was just tired of fooling with this stuff and my dealer hooked me up. New video coming soon. Hope you get your straightened out buddy💪👊💯
Take it back. Hope your dealer is better than mine. Mine is been sitting at dealership for 3 months and bad boy is won’t step in to back their product. I had to make a few phone calls. Still waiting.
I did...my dealer hooked me up and I was able to swap out and pick up a SCAG VRIDE 2. I have about 325 hours on it now...been a solid machine. Hope they get yours sorted out soon 🤞🙏. Thanks for watching👊
First Bad boy was a CZT commercial with a Vanguard engine. Nothing but problems. After a year or so I kept telling them the engine was underpowered. They put a Kawasaki engine on for cost. Still going. It is now 14 years old. My newest Bad boy has a Kolher engine and I really like it. Talked with a fellow that owns his own landscaping and he said he has the best luck with Scagg.
Sorry for the delayed response. I am a Kawasaki guy no doubt. I ended up getting a SCAG VRide 2 to replace this unit and it has been solid so far. I also have had good luck with John Deere.👍
Old video but my grasshopper died after 20 years of service and not mowing commercial anymore didn’t see a need to spend 30k to mow my 1 acre of grass. Stopped at a nearby bombgars picked up bad boy avencer zt 60” dam things got some giddy up and go. Love it didn’t have any hesitation cutting grass/weeds over a foot tall. Personal opinion the set up is easier to use then some of the other options available. Cub was ok but the mowing deck seemed flimsy when my fat but stepped on it. Husqvarna appeared to be about the same for a much higher price (most likely paying for the name) only draw back with the newer mowers no pto, hitch, not a lot of attachment options even the non zero turns lack these options nowadays.
Yea, some of these new mowers just don't make the cut. I wish I hadn't had the issues I did because I do like Badboy and the Revolt was a good machine when I demoed it before. Just never know what will happen with these machines. I have a SCAG VRide 2 now and it has served me well so far... Not without some minor things but that normal. Hope you continue to get good service out of yours 👍
I almost would get the Scag. We had issues with the JD 950m when we first bought it. And in three years it still has issues. We went ahead and got the 960m last week and it’s been great.
Never had any real issues with my Z920M. Just not sure what the best move is right now. Hoping a night's sleep will help🤔. These mowers this year have wore me out🤪
Common sense says it's the gas cap. I thought it was something wrong with the whole entire unit. Just like all the other units and in the side by side a cap should have a spring inside it to let vapors in and out. I've taken one apart before this had mud packed into it.
That was def my thoughts on the deal with cutting out, that it was the cap. I would have dealt with that and the throttle cable replacement,.. being small issues. However, once that transaxle started acting up, I was done...Thankfully my dealer got me fixed up by getting it worked out to do a full buy back and got me a new mower.... went with a Scag VRide 2.
Possible, but I could have just gotten a bad one🤷♂️. I demoed one before and it was a good mower. I also know a guy that has had one for 3 yrs and loves it. I just moved over to a SCAG and hoping to steer clear of too many issues 😝😎.
Yea, the issues are just crazy. I know it can happen but I am done with the not so small issues right now. My dealer got me hooked up so I will have a new video out soon👊👍. Thanks for tuning in💪
This one cut nicely for the 5.5 hrs I had it🤪🤦🤣. It throws grass amazingly well. I think when working properly this is an excellent mower for the price point. I had to move to another mower because I couldn't have extended down time on a new mower. Hope you get yours sorted out and cutting right👍💪✂️💯
I did consider a Grandstand, but machine availability was scarce and dealer support was further out. My dealer got me fixed up so I will be doing a new video soon to discuss it all. 👍💯
Yea, I think that's the case, I had demoed one and it did great. Also spoke with a guy who has used one for 3 seasons now and loves it. I just wasn't up for dealing with more repairs, even if they were warranty... I just wanted to get back mowing. 😁😜👍
i have a Bad Boy Outlaw 2010 model almost 700 hours on it. One deck belt one idler. one hour meter/tach because you can't service it when the battery dies, just recently a pto switch off ebay. 31 hp kawasaki. Have use it like a brush hog from time to time.
They def don't make some like they used too. My 2015 JD ZTrak has been a tank, right at 1600 hrs. I know that 31 Kawi is a beast for sure. My dealer got me hooked up so I am gonna have another video coming soon. Thanks for watching!! 💪👊💯👍
No bubbles in the reservoir, fluid levels even on both sides and cooling fan working. Only does it after getting hot. Can let it sit 5-10 min and it will go back to operating fine🤷. Just crazy stuff, but I know it happens. Dealer got me fixed up so that's good. Will have a new video coming to discuss it all👍. Thanks for watching and commenting 👊
I still think BadBoy is a good brand, I just happened to get one with issues. Could have happened with any brand. 👍. Hope you get many more years out of yours!!
For all you people saying get another mower you do realize every problem he had is a from an out sourced part all these mowers use the same transmission and motor so it could’ve happened with any brand
Yes sir. I hope I was clear that I still thought BB was a good brand, I just happened to get one with issues and had to make a decision. I wish I hadn't had the issues I did. Thanks for watching!
I have a zero turn 60 inch bad boy so far I've had it for about 6 months and no issues. But I've got an old craftsman I used to use and it done the same thing it's the gas cap don't tighten it up just meet us snug it. You shouldn't have any more problems with it.
Man Josh im hating to hear this man but i know its going to work out. I think it speaks volumes to you that you share all sides of the Lawncare journey " Good Bad Ugly" Keep your head up brother✔️💯💪🏽
Appreciate you brother 💪👊💯. I just try to put the real stuff out there as I go. Been tough lately but all will be good. THIS TO SHALL PASS💪. Keep grinding buddy 👊☕👍
I would recommend that you take it back to the dealer and trade it for another one but I also would suggest to let the factory know what your intentions are and see how that works out and keep on mowing! Good Luck 🍀
I was able to go back to the dealer and the basically voided the purchase and I went with a SCAG VRide 2. I kinda hate it because I did like the Revolt but had to get mowing! Thanks for watching 💪👊
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 The VRide 2 is a great machine as well too. I even liked the Revolt too. But, they are a few things I would like to change on it like the controls. I like the controls all the same side because they would be more convenient and accessible and I am right handed so that is another reason. I would like to see companies let you have that option for your mowers. Thanks 🙏 for the heads up on that companies customer service! Keep up the great work and mow on my friend.👍💪👊
ITS A SHAME THEY KEEP PUTTING INDEPENDENT WORKERS IN DEBT. I RUN THE OLD STUFF TO KEEP THE CORPORATE SALES BS OUT OF THE WAY!!! 9K TO 16 K FOR A BASIC MOWER IS JUST WRONG... FOR BIG CUTS GOT I RUN A ALL WHEEL DRIVE 1999, SHIBAURA DIESEL WITH A 60 AND A 74 INCH DECK OVER 4000 HOURS AND STILL RUNNING STRONG AND WILL CUT STEP HILL AND INCLINES......FLIP THE GAME ON THEM RUN OLDER EQUIPMENT BEFORE EMISSIONS KILLED THE MOWING INDUSTRY EVEN MORE AS MECHANICS WOULD SAY..NEW IS NICE BUT ITS NOT HANGING IN THERE FOR THE LONG HAUL FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY PEOPLE ARE SPENDING
Sorry for the delayed response....I hate I had the issues I had. I still think BadBoy makes a good machine. Some of their part suppliers seem to have QC issues. I may very well try BB again. Ferris makes a solid machine for sure👊👍
If opening up the tank filler lets the engine run, the tank is not venting correctly. That's an easy fix. What you describe is not vapor locking. Opening the filler on the tank wouldn't solve that problem.
Yea, I was just over all the repair from the whole year last year...lol. Had I not had the wheel motor acting up I would have kept rolling until I got a gas cap and throttle cable.
Man I don't even know what to say. One thing is I don't like fuel injection on a lawnmower thats a new can of worms waiting to escape. They should keep them simple without all the electronics. Plus keep plastic to a minimum. Look and see if a fuel line is too close to the engine. Sorry your having a bad streak of luck but be patient you'll beat it.👍🇺🇸
Yea, I tried to do research and I felt better about the newer EFI, but all the stuff combined was just crazy. My dealer was able to hook me up today so new video will be coming soon👍😎
Jack up rear of mower and take wheels off and adjust pumps. Probably better to let dealer do it if you aren't familiar with this. Left wheel is probably out of adjustment. Manual addresses this problem
I just made a decision to turn it back in and went with the SCAG VRide 2. I hate I had the issues I did but had to make a call. Still think BB is a good brand and may very well purchase another down the road. Thanks for watching!!
When it's your business. As much as you want to save money. Spend it because I did the same thing. Bought the cheaper one, and it fell apart very quickly. Ferris I strongly recommend or john deere, Kubota, but here's the other problem anything built during covid was rushed or production was not all that great. Something happened to the RV world.
Yes sir. I was able to take it back and do what was essentially a "swap" without losing any value and got a SCAG VRide 2. Got 220 hrs on it now and it has been a solid machine overall.
If it was mine I just take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. But it's your mower you do what you feel the best. But but it's yours. But as for me I feel the bad boy it's a better lower what I've ever had.
Thought about it but just was tired of all the down time I had been dealing with from mowers in general. Badboy still makes a solid machine, and I wouldn't rule out buying one down the road. Never know 😎👍
Thank you for sharing your issues, sorry it's happening to you. Hopefully you can resolve these issues and get back to work! Good luck and I switched from bad boy a few years ago for all kinds of little issues. Time is money $$$$$
Got to keep a sense of humor man or you will go crazy 🤣🤣🤣. Mower Issues have been a pain but still rolling💪🤪. Got another video coming soon💪👊😁. Thanks for watching👍
Boy that sucks. I'd ask for my money back, or maybe take a grand less, then buy something else somewhere else. Probably the best they will do offer you the price you paid plus the extra for the Scag.
Yeah I hated it happened, but my dealer got it straight. They just cancelled/refunded the original finance amount and I ended up getting a SCAG VRide 2.
I would stay with it.. but see if they would exchange it.. because once the Bad boy company found out the problem.. is happening they may have fixed it All.. because bad boy is an awesome brand and company to buy from
I had considered that but I decided to go back and swap for the SCAG. Dealer didn't hassle me one bit so that was good. Still def think BadBoy is a great brand 👍
Just got a bad boy rouge 72" cut at noon on Friday. Cut some acreage has 8 hrs on the clock and the PTO clutch died at 2pm on Saturday. It's going back to the dealer on Monday. I was pretty much torture testing it for 5 of those hours mowing some high thick grass, so not really blaming bad boy for the failure. This thing is built like a tank. The PTO clutch just died, it's getting 13v to the plug but not engaging.
Badboy makes a good machine. I just got a lemon this time. I still wouldn't discourage anyone from buying one. When you cut the rough stuff....stuff is bound to break. Hope it's back working soon for you and Thanks for tuning in😁👍
dont know about the motor issue my outlaw does sort of the same thing acts like its starving for gas done everything but all in all it does good doesnt do it all the time as for the transmission check make sure your belt and pullies are ok and like another commentor here said try purging it my one maverick kept wearing out fan pullies on the right side and eventually the tranny went it must of had some defect could be the case with yours let me know.
Sucks but I am so done with the mower issues at this point🤪🤦. My dealer.did get me fixed up so that's a good thing. Got to do a new video about the whole situation 👍
Damn man, I hope everything works out for you bro. Does it have a operator presence safety feature that maybe is bad? Putting a different fuel filter on it? I’m rooting for you! 💯🫡✂️
Thanks brother, it has been an eventful few days fo sho🤪🤷🤦. I just decided not to fool with it and my dealer hooked me up. Will have new video out before long. Appreciate ya buddy👊💯, keep Choppin'✂️✂️
Sorry to hear Josh, I have to say spend the extra money if you got it get commercial grade equipment. I started with EXMARK radius, cheaper than all out commercial but its a little tank mows great still have it, you can beat a scag with Kawi.
Thanks man, it just sucks but it happens. Exmark makes a nice machine but limited support in my area. SCAG has great stuff also. My dealer got me hooked up so I will have a new video coming soon. Thanks again for watching 👊💯
I just bought a new $7500 mower, and the deck carrier was falling down (bolt fell out before I ever even used it!); some nuts were only barely finger tight; and one of the hydros is weaker than the other... THIS is why I always try NOT to buy American-made crap. Your stalling problem is probably an EFI problem. I avoided EFI at all costs, 'cause there's no reason such complicated and delicate electronics should be on a mower! A carburetor you can fix in the field if need be.
Yes I def agree. Quality has dropped off in a lot of things these days 💯. I am with ya also on the EFI...I went against my better judgement and got one with it ...I will sacrifice a little fuel economy for less headaches and go carb all the way.
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 The EFI is good...till one day it isn't...and then it's off to the dealer! I was thinking the same thing- sacrifice just a little fuel economy for reliability...but to tell ya the truth, my new carbed mower is really good on gas. Better than I was expecting...just as good or better than the EFIs of some people I know. Well, best of luck with your EFI- hopefully you'll be lucky and not have any problems for a long time.
Everything you said your having problems with isn't the mower brand itself. The throttle cable.... Briggs enough said. The dying out....Briggs... The hydro. Sounds like it's cavitating like it needs to be purged again. It is new. Myself I would tell him I want one with the kawasaki. Say what you will they are dependable. Briggs has really went down over the years I really wonder if they are made in China now.... Keep your head up. You'll get it worked out!!!!
Yea, I wanted the Kawasaki but none were available and needed something, had my fingers crossed 🤞. Dealer got me hooked up this morning so I will have a new video coming out soon👍. Thanks for watching 👊💯
Didn't think about that but not sure. Could've had a weak spot that was collapsing at random🤔🤷. Oh well....Took the mower back and went with a SCAG. Appreciate the feedback👊
I don't know. At one time they did offer some Yamaha engines, but it didn't last long. Now it appears to only be Kohler, Vanguard and Kawasaki. I am a Kawasaki guy myself. Would be cool to see the Hondas out there though. 💪👍💯
You can, i have a Maverick HD with the Honda motor and im having the same problem with stalling With throttle and shutting off with pto engaged. Sometimes it sounds like its starving right from startup. Still no fix on my end. Not a briggs problem like everyone here says, something else going on with what seems like all engines on some of the badboy frame. Not impressed with this brand at all.
Since your dealer also sales Scag, see if he'll take the Revolt back and upgrade to V-IRide II. The Revolt has Hydrogear ZT3400 transaxles which are a little above entry level commercial. The V-Ride II is full on old school commercial (i.e. hydrogear pumps with Parker wheel motors). Plus the Velocity Deck's cut quality is rated tops by most folks. You have had enough aggravation, peace of mind is worth an additional $2500. Coarse any new mower is subject to give some trouble, which most times will show up in the first 100 hours.
Yes, I am def over mower issues everytime I turn around, especially not so small issues🤪. Dealer hooked me up so I will have a new video coming out to discuss the situation 👍
@tymt84 Yes, I know, I had good service out of a Hustler FastTrac-SD with Hydrogear 3400 drive units. But most of the upper tier commercial mowers are separated pump & motor units.
The engine is the main problem I watched 2 or 3 vanguards mess up last year and watched one blow up this year briggs is junk! I went with kother and kawasaki and they will outdo that engine any day
Def got a lesson on this one, but I know you get bad apples sometimes. Dealer got me hooked up so it's all good. Got a new video out on how things worked out 😁👍. Thanks for watching!
The sad truth about it buddy is now days none of them are what they used to be! No matter what brand! I have owned several brands and all on the commercial side because I mow 10 acres at my place on a regular basis! I have a 2015 bad boy outlaw xp and have minor issues over the years but I would be leary of getting ant new mower today! Unfortunately it is gonna be the luck of the draw no matter if it is scag, bad boy or whatever! Good luck with it buddy!
Thanks man,..... yeah nothing is what it used to be. Got a 2015 JD Z920M and it has been a great mower with the FX730 Kawasaki. My dealer got me fixed up this morning so hope all will be good for a bit. New video coming soon👍. Thanks for watching 👊💯
Hi. We have a spindle assembly that may fit your mower. We're happy to offer you the product completely free of charge in exchange for a video review. Are you interested?
That's tough. You just expect to get a new mower and go to work and not have to worry about issues for a good while. Did Bad Boy take care of these issues. When I researched diffeent brands it seemed like Bad Boy had a lot of things they were trying to not cover
Sorry for the delay. It sucked, but my dealer hooked me up and just paid my loan off so I could purchase a different mower. Wish I hadn't had the issues, I still think Badboy makes good stuff, I just got a lemon 🤷. I was able to switch it out for a VRide 2 👍.
I had demoed two of them before and the demos did good. Put more hours on them than I did on this mower, but they both had Kawi engines. I wanted a brand-new JD stander, but it was a 6 to 9 month wait for one. Then I figured I had good dealer support for BB and it was cheaper, but that blew up in my face....lol 🤷♂️😂😂
Deere's cut like shit. My buddy got two of the bigger ones thinking he was making the right move. Absolute garbage in cut quality. Got a customer with a big Deere zt. He wanted us to run it on his property one time just so it got ran a little. I made one pass and put it up. No way I was putting my name on that cut lol. Bad boy cuts dam good. As good as my exmarks cut. Scag cuts good too.
Could be a combination. When you loosened the gas cap, you released the vacuum. That vacuum causes vapor lock to happen easier. I had a generator that would run fine for about 20 minutes, then die. Turned out the gas line was too short and touching the block. Lengthened the line and now it runs out of gas before it dies. I had no reason to run it a long time until it was out of warranty.
Never waste your money on anything with a briggs engine. They've always had a bad name. The vanguards they come out with have all kinds of issues. Should've stayed with John deere . Ive been in the lawn business 35 years and mechanic as well . John deere is the best mowers we've ever had and over the years ive bought cheaper mowers like you did to try and save a dollar. Its best to spend the extra money and get what you know is good. Scag doesn't cut good in my opinion on southern grass.
All I know is I plan to stick with Kawasaki from now on. My Z920 has been solid from day one. My Vride has done a good job so far for me, but def going to get a bigger sit downbefore long. Something 30+hp and 60 - 61 inch cut.
😂😝... def got it in this case. I do know some people that have BB mowers and have used them for a few years and love them. I did demo one previously I think I mentioned and really enjoyed it. Guess the build quality is going downhill like a lot of other things 🤷♂️🤦♂️.
Josh, take it back to the dealer and see if he can fix it immediately. If not then get the Scag and try it out if you like it. Make sure you get a new 2023 model. Good Luck!

Agree 💯%. Just got a bad one and it happens. Still think they make a solid machine for sure.
Clog in vent lines or valve would likely have happened during manufacturing, but not presenting a problem until the fuel level drops.

I would’ve just bought a Scagg. I have one and it’s amazing.
That's what I have now but still wish I had better luck with the BadBoy 🤷👍. The SCAG has been solid.
Good stuff
Thanks buddy!👊
I got exmark machines and I Never have issues
Never had any real issues with my Z920M. Just not sure what the best move is right now. Hoping a night's sleep will help🤔. These mowers this year have wore me out🤪
Safety switch at feet? Heard they make some shim for it.
Probably had the bypass open on one side and didnt know it. My badboys have run flawlessly for two seasons now
Possible, but I could have just gotten a bad one🤷♂️. I demoed one before and it was a good mower. I also know a guy that has had one for 3 yrs and loves it. I just moved over to a SCAG and hoping to steer clear of too many issues 😝😎.
I would jump to scag.
However …… I wouldn’t want that particular mower - swap for another one.
Yea, the issues are just crazy. I know it can happen but I am done with the not so small issues right now. My dealer got me hooked up so I will have a new video out soon👊👍. Thanks for tuning in💪
I have a revolt scalps like crazy . Deck was unlevel. Does yours scalp?
This one cut nicely for the 5.5 hrs I had it🤪🤦🤣. It throws grass amazingly well. I think when working properly this is an excellent mower for the price point. I had to move to another mower because I couldn't have extended down time on a new mower. Hope you get yours sorted out and cutting right👍💪✂️💯
Go buy a Toro they say it's the best out there I only had mine for 2 months but no issues and I love it
I did consider a Grandstand, but machine availability was scarce and dealer support was further out. My dealer got me fixed up so I will be doing a new video soon to discuss it all. 👍💯
Not sure.. I thought the Bad Boy Revolts were supposed to be very good mowers.. Maybe you just got a bad Bad Boy (a lemon)..
WOW WHAT A LEMNOM
I just ain't having any luck with my mowers right now🤦
I would not want to keep it with problems, plus they are expensive now
@Josh's Lawn & Landscape I get it I had break downs this year 🙄😒😔
Hope you get it fixed !!
Lots to think about. It will work out though💪💯
So how bout a follow up with results??
Sorry for the delay. I did a follow up right after this one, see the link here: ruclips.net/video/bjxyXvMUh2A/видео.html

Could be air in the transmission causing intermittent loss of power, definitely would attempt a purge…
I have 2013 badboy with a kaw. No issues. Great mower.
Badboy makes a good machine.... I think I just got a lemon. It happens. 👍
Yea, prices have def gone crazy. I totally agree on emissions creating more issues for equipment.
Ain’t got no gas in it!!!
🤪mmhmm. Mmhhmm🤣🤣🤣🤣
I almost bought a revolt. I went with a Ferris and glad I did.
Sorry for the delayed response....I hate I had the issues I had. I still think BadBoy makes a good machine. Some of their part suppliers seem to have QC issues. I may very well try BB again. Ferris makes a solid machine for sure👊👍
Get the scag if you can.
Crazy stuff, it just sucks but it happens. Dealer got me hooked up so I will be doing a new video to discuss it all👍.
Kohler engine? Put a larger main jet in the carb, they run too lean
No. This was a Briggs Vanguard engine. It was returned to the dealer for a different mower.
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 Ask them what was wrong with it?
If it was mine I just take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. But it's your mower you do what you feel the best. But but it's yours. But as for me I feel the bad boy it's a better lower what I've ever had.
Thought about it but just was tired of all the down time I had been dealing with from mowers in general. Badboy still makes a solid machine, and I wouldn't rule out buying one down the road. Never know 😎👍
Great video should take it back and get something like a scag
It's being considered, lots going through my mind right now🤔
Thank you for sharing your issues, sorry it's happening to you. Hopefully you can resolve these issues and get back to work! Good luck and I switched from bad boy a few years ago for all kinds of little issues. Time is money $$$$$
I was able to work things out. Dealer took it on return and got the financing cancelled. Went with a VRide 2.
Hey man, you got a laugh about it I know it’s a pain in the ass but if you could swing it, I definitely get another machine the V ride
Got to keep a sense of humor man or you will go crazy 🤣🤣🤣. Mower Issues have been a pain but still rolling💪🤪. Got another video coming soon💪👊😁. Thanks for watching👍
I would take it back and swap it out with another one. If same issues or any issues I would swap for the V-Ride.
Crazy stuff man. My dealer got me fixed up, so I will have a new video coming soon about the whole situation👍
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 awesome man! Nothing like a good dealer!
@@mlintonlawncare Yes sir, dealer support makes all the difference💪💯
V rides have issues too. We have a lot of the revolt units and a few vride. Honestly the BB revolts have been the better mowers
Thanks for the comment ..I couldn't deal with the wait for fixing everything so my dealer hooked me up and got me on a SCAG VRide 2 👍

Sorry to hear Josh, I have to say spend the extra money if you got it get commercial grade equipment. I started with EXMARK radius, cheaper than all out commercial but its a little tank mows great still have it, you can beat a scag with Kawi.

It's its new 3 yr engine warranty go talk to your dealer n let him.fix it
I ended up taking it back and my dealer worked with me to exchange it for a SCAG VRide 2
Take it back. Switch it
Giving that a lot of consideration 😕🤔

How come you can't get a honda engine with bad boy
If they’d take it back, I’d give it to them......quick.....that’s terrible bro.
Sucks man😕. My dealer did get me hooked up so I will have a new video coming soon👍😎💪
Not saying there better than hydraulics but I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the 3400's
@tymt84 Yes, I know, I had good service out of a Hustler FastTrac-SD with Hydrogear 3400 drive units. But most of the upper tier commercial mowers are separated pump & motor units.
It’s probably the gas cap
What I was thinking, they have it and told them about everything.
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 so did you get a diagnosis back?
@@Crslawncare13 they basically agreed with my assessment...Needs gas cap, throttle.cable needs replacing and appears to have a bad transaxle.
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 ohhhhh wow trans axle to 😲 I had a motor that was surge and it was the gas cap.
The engine is the main problem I watched 2 or 3 vanguards mess up last year and watched one blow up this year briggs is junk! I went with kother and kawasaki and they will outdo that engine any day

The sad truth about it buddy is now days none of them are what they used to be! No matter what brand! Hi. We have a spindle assembly that may fit your mower. We're happy to offer you the product completely free of charge in exchange for a video review. Are you interested?
Thank you for the offer. However, I no longer have this machine.
@@joshslawnlandscape9935 I found many mowers on your channel. We sell parts for many machines. Are you interested?
Hi~ We have many parts for machines. Are you interested in making videos for us?
That's tough. You just expect to get a new mower and go to work and not have to worry about issues for a good while. Did Bad Boy take care of these issues. When I researched diffeent brands it seemed like Bad Boy had a lot of things they were trying to not cover
Sorry for the delay. It sucked, but my dealer hooked me up and just paid my loan off so I could purchase a different mower. Wish I hadn't had the issues, I still think Badboy makes good stuff, I just got a lemon 🤷. I was able to switch it out for a VRide 2 👍.
Bad boys have always been junk mowers. I had one and it was junk. Why didn't you buy another john deere.
Trade it back in to many multiple issues.
Exactly what I did 👍👊
No trouble with my BAD BOY. must be user abuse related.
Think I just got a lemon...both the demos I had were great machines and I put more hours on them than I did this mower🤷🤦
Good and bad in all of them. But Scag is boss in Virginia. But I'm running Bobcats with AirFx decks. Love them!!!
How you try Honda mowers ?
The name kind of says it they told you it was a bad boy they got the name right
😂😝... def got it in this case. I do know some people that have BB mowers and have used them for a few years and love them. I did demo one previously I think I mentioned and really enjoyed it. Guess the build quality is going downhill like a lot of other things 🤷♂️🤦♂️.
Just like with cars........you got a L E M O N😠Demand something else, you will have nothing but problems with it!!!
Yep..it was def a sour one too🤣. Got it all worked out at my dealer with no issues so it's good now💪👍😎
