Not even a comparison...bad boy is several steps down from Scag.

  • @dougharris2875

The man's name was Dane Scag.....so many people that the fastest mower is the best. It's the quality of the cut, which Scag wins and will out last the Bad boy!

I just bought a bad boy rogue, 28.5 hp kawasaki with 61 inch deck. I compared the bad boy and the skag turf tiger. The bad boy is built much heavier than the skagg. The hydro gear pumps and parker motors are exactly the same on both machines. The motors are exactly the same. The skagg may cut a bit better but that may be due to ground speed. I saw nothing on the skagg that would indicate better quality than the bad boy unless it would be hydraulic hoses, belts or pulleys, since both machines had identicle engines, and hydraulic drive components.. as far as the mower deck and frame, the bad boy is a couple steps ahead of the skagg

That Bad Boy has the non efi Kaw FX1000. It is 35 HP. The efi version is 38.5. There's a very good reason you see lots of Scags on landscape trailers and very few BB's.

    I don’t see 18,000 dollars in that Scag !

  • @bloodbushcraft2467

I would spend my money on the bad boy, they look easier to work on and far more robust looking and the deck is thicker

  • @bigjoe2458

The real test of a mower like that will be how long it lasts and which will be the least problems during that period.

  • @JasPlun

Both are great mowers the Skag has a better cut though so if a perfect cut is what your after go Skag for the money the Bad Boy is probably cheaper up front. Reliability goes to the Kawasaki it is just a simpler engine and simpler is better! Take care of them and they will last a long time both brands.

  • @user-eh1uz3sr9d

It's not how fast you move it's how well you mow fast

  • @jerrydosser7031

    Comparing a bicycle to a motorcycle…….Scag period!

  • @bubbawubba2307

This race means nothing to me. How good of a cut? How does it handle? Is the transmission jerky? Is the handle bars too close together? Are the spindles greasable? Etc etc.

  • @hashtagjustadad5110

Very cool side x side comparison. I recently had the opportunity to mow grass for the first time ever in my life using a zero turn. It was a Spartan and man did I have fun. Both of these machines seem like fun as well.

  • @MrTemplefugate

1st time viewer loved you guys. I made a promise to myself that I would never stop having fun at any age, yoyoing, flying kites, or whatever. I see you guys live up to that promise, love it. To the debate on what's better, that really takes a scientific approach to be fair. I've seen bad cars last good owners 4eva, and I've seen great cars die at 50k with awful owners. So any test has to take owner and bias out of the equation...

  • @GardenTractorBoy

Two good looking machines, cool wheelies. That looked fun

  • @golfbravowhiskey8669

I have an older outlaw XP bad boy with a 38 horse Briggs EFI. It just turned 26 yesterday, I also have a two year old turf tiger with the same engine. There has been zero dollars spent on the bad boy other than maintenance, that scag has been in the shop eight times in two years. Luckily all of that work has been under warranty and it only has 200 hours on it. The warranty work has totaled up to over $9000 including a new Kawasaki engine one new drive motor and a new deck that evidently whoever produced it had the welder in one hand and the whiskey bottle in the other.

  • @audiemccall5332

I’m not impressed with how fast it goes, but how it mows day in and day out. Scagg.

  • @bobpurs

Nice Wheelie Phil 😂. Scag always looked like a tuff mower. Never ran one but seat sure looks comfortable . 👍

  • @keithHarmon2057

I have a badboy, it's been a Good investment. Neighbor has a scag. His is way slower then mine. But I like both.
