Ok... THIS video I can buy. This is JJ being real and putting LeBron in a position where he absolutely MUST be genuine. I am here for this type of content.
Lebron definitely gets a lot more heat than he deserves. It's ok to not be on the King James wagon but to discredit him or disrespect him based on cherry picked clips is so immature and I'm sick of it.
He gets picked on because he disrespects and discredits the game with his flopping, tantrums, half assed defensive effort where he cherry picks by not getting back on defense, AND most importantly rarely takes responsibility except when it’s to his benefit. All of this with the league 100% behind him and a large segment of the mainstream media too. He is THE most annoying elite athlete by far that I have ever seen.
@@dvdv8197 Flopping is part of the game you make it sound it like thats all he does flop and complains its never his leadership or off the court just a hater sad..
Lebron should be small forward, Anthony should be power forward, you trade D, Gabe, and Rui for a big. You keep Jarred healthy, and you develop Austin’s confidence to be more impactful in games (and make him point). Anthony and Lebron had a solid ass season. Refreshing perspective of the realities of sports. No one it's so weird for athletes after they retire. Especially when they make basketball their whole life.
The one game the lakers shutdown 4 of the nuggets is game Aaron Gordon goes off. The Nuggets aren't a team you can defend with double teams, you have to be able to beat them 1v1, aka 5v5.
someone always has to play out of their mind on the nuggets vs the lakers. Jokic always gonna do his thing but last year it was Jamal avg like 35 a game, and this year its MPJ shooting like prime curry all series......unreal.....and then to see them choke so hard vs the wolves...as a lakers fan its like ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
They aren’t choking lmfao the wolves are an elite team as well. The lakers weren’t ever gonna beat the nuggets. the wolves being elite does not mean the lakers should’ve won lol. They’d have just also got beat by the wolves.
@@jdrummerdd the lakers most definitely have enough. rui was statistically the lakers best 3 point shooter at 42%. but in the playoffs, once lebron & AD abuse the pick and roll to perfection, the nuggets adjustment is to put jokic on rui and jokic just leave rui open on the 3 point line. the lakers best 3 point shooter isn't taking advantage of getting left wide open? yeah, that's more of just not stepping up in the big moment than just not having enough pieces.
Cam was unreliable bcuz he always decides to “take matters into his own hands” to prove he deserves a higher role. It was annoying then Ham allowed him to do that. It was a terrible team. Vando and woods were hurt. We were too small for the nuggets with no chemistry and they expect Bron and AD to win a chip with a terrible team. DLo is an allstar on his best nights but not a superstar and most nights he’s subpar. Reeves is consistent back up at best. Lakers was a freak show but claim Bron. I get tired of the haters. Lebron is 39 so yea he can’t do what he did before but to still make the playoffs and if he had a better cohesive team he for sure would have a chance at the chip. What makes Denver such a good team is the team chemistry and no one is playing outside their limits and roles. Lakers had no identity bcuz no one wanted to stay in the place or respect others game and the coaching was terrible.
@@TommyDavidVerbalnot necessarily, idk why you guys act like they weren’t leading every single game lol, they were up 20 in one of the games , they lost that lead why? Because they had no defensive wing players such as Cam or Vando who have size and defense. Look at what NAW and Mcdaniels are doing to Murray, you telling me someone like Vando can’t do that?
Lakers prayed for misses from Denver's shooting. Timberwolves seem to actually contest and alter shots. Only AD did that for us this year. The best moves we can make have already begun. Getting rid of Darvin Ham, who was obsessed with small ball, even when we'd have the size advantage. He seemed to believe that going small with AD at Center essentially was the best option in the close to the wire games. Also, excessive rotations. Our starting 5 only being finalized a few months before an NBA playoffs is malpractice. We looked silly, and it really shouldn't have been a question about who would start coming into this season. I honestly can't blame Rui, Austin, or Dlo. Imagine coming into camp thinking you've earned your spot after going to the WCF last year, running it back, only for you to have to compete for minutes with new talent. I thought i was going nuts when i saw Gabe Vincent getting more minutes than Jackson Hayes, who had some key games in the regular season cause of his size and energy. With a big like Jokic and an athletic wing in Gordon, we could have utilized size and energy. The top of the West consists of actual teams while we let Ham play like an exhibition game on mid 2000's 2k.

@@obi3924 It has nothing to do with being better. This Timberwolves defense is the best we’ve seen since the 2020 Lakers. But let’s not act like the Nuggets aren’t choking. The truth about the Lakers is they don’t have personnel to bother Denver. It’s a clear difference in trapping Jamal when you have the defensive personnel to pull it off, and length everywhere on the floor. Lakers did not have that.
What Lebron said at the end there I think is the main factor -- they're so COEHSIVE. Denver's starting five is this perfect combination of MVP talent upfront with the highest caliber role players imaginable. Aaron Gordon was the Magic's #1 option for a long time. MPJ would be given a lot more berth outside Denver. KCP was a key cog in the Lakers' 2020 run. It makes them relaxed, and there's not a lot of ego and hero ball on the court. They just kept coming at the Lakers and didn't seem fazed because they just play the right way. As a Laker's fan, I couldn't help but throw up my hands and respect it.
LeBron you should have been guarding JM each time the Lakers lost by 2 points. For some reason the lakers couldn’t buy a basket. And because Michael was pretty much in the corner wide open uncontested there you go. And Jokic doesn’t have to jump to shoot. @@hakancarlsson2881 LeBron is not responsible for the Lakers losing in the 1st round. He played phenomenal in his 21st season. Those are the facts. Hopefully the Lakers front office will finally hire a good coaching staff and properly upgrade the roster.
@@hakancarlsson2881 Exactly. Thats why MJ should shoulder all the blame for not leading the Wizards to the playoffs for 2 straight seasons, as well as not beating the pistons in the ECF of 1990
I know exactly what happened. Lakers were playing good team ball until it was “time” for Lebron to get his stats. Lakers were running specific offense for Lebron to fill his stat sheet instead of sticking with what was working offensively. Lebron will need to learn that it’s OKAY TO DECLINE. Lakers could’ve won that series but the org was more concerned with making Lebron look relevant. You’ll ALWAYS be relevant for all of history. The legacy is solid, but you could’ve made a deeper run if not trying to force shots and fill out your ppg. I’m not a hater, I’m typically a defender of this man (when he deserves it), but that was incredibly obvious to me as a viewer.
Shout-out to JJ to bringing up this important situation. Great point, you guys don't focus on discourse, which is why I love this show. But this was something that needed to be said and Bron's reaction to being asked about the series (albeit they likely discussed it would come up), it was phenomenal to see LeBron James vulnerable in this state and while everyone gives him so much criticism, at 39 this was Jordan's transition into management with the wizard where 20 pts a game was praised. Man idc what they say about who was greatest at the peak of their powers, longevity and expectation of THIS magnitude will never again be understood the same. Fuck the bullshit when people say "NO EXCUSES" !! Bottom line is the LAKERS won GAME 4, they were winning GAME 5, until ANTHONY (fragile) DAVIS injured his shoulder early in that 3rd Quarter, and he didn't play hard through out 0 the rest of that game because of that injury. And that's the main reason why the LAKERS lost period. And to top it off, they only lost by 2 PONITS. :😮 LEBRON had (30 Pts) . (11 Ast) and (9 Rebs). The 39 year OLD MAN put a hell of an effort in that game, and he deserves no blame for that loss period. ANTHONY DAVIS is in his full young PRIME, so he's the blame for the fail
Reggie Miller said it yesterday, some people have this "veteran" in the Mount Rushmore of the NBA, that when he looses EVERYONE but him is responsible. However the 22 year old SG of the TWolves, Edwards claims responsibility for his team loosing to the Nuggets. Enough said.
Reddick is your coach, he knows the game of basketball better than any of the other candidates and he played 15 years in the league; he is a long term coach that will not cost you initially, he's a players coach and will manage the locker room along with LeBron and AD's input. We must get two real bigs next to AD. (ie 2020 chip) we need a six man (Bobby Portes, Dramond, for additional support etc.) We need a two way guard to contend with Murry and Anthony Edwards..... Demar/Caruso/Donovan/Keli Ubrea/Marcus Smart/JaMonte Murray/ Brogden etc. We have more than enough assets and picks to make this happen. Doc Rivers, Ty Lue, Chauncy Billups, etc none of which had ever coached prior to there position. There is enough assets, picks and money to make it happen.

In all honesty, expecting Lebron to still dominate on both ends for all 4 quarters was a big down fall. They should have gotten a solid big man like Dwight on minimun contract. Your not looking for points more so for paint presence and AD can play the 4 freely.
Man the fact people still hold LeBron to this level of scrutiny really let's you know his level of greatness... A man on his final legs of playing in the NBA is still being scrutinized for not winning it all every time. That should show you the level. I'm not even a LeBron fan like that either... I just can't think of another sporting person in history who was expected to still be dominant at this stage in his career. Even Jon Jones, arguably the greatest fighter to ever live has slowed down in the latter stage of his career going from finishing everyone to many decision wins or close fights. In every other sport a decline is expected and almost celebrated depending on the culture of the sport, when a vet gets to pass the tourch. They act like LeBron is Luka lol, like he needs to win or else. It's the MJ issue. They tally everytime he doesn't win it all as a knock against him because of MJ's runs. He said something most athletes don't think about. That transition from NBA hoops to FIBA is different. Part of preparation should be familiarizing yourself with the rule and equipment changes.
Typically, I am hesitant about filling head coaching positions with individuals lacking substantial professional or collegiate experience. However, in the case of JJ Redick, I am willing to reconsider. Redick exudes a deep understanding and passion for basketball, effortlessly sharing expert insights when discussing the sport. He deserves it
Speaking of “cherry picking”…
He's treated like California of the NBA everyone shits on it because they're envious of it.
He gets picked on because he disrespects and discredits the game with his flopping, tantrums, half assed defensive effort where he cherry picks by not getting back on defense, AND most importantly rarely takes responsibility except when it’s to his benefit. The one game the lakers shutdown 4 of the nuggets is game Aaron Gordon goes off. The Nuggets aren't a team you can defend with double teams, you have to be able to beat them 1v1, aka 5v5.
Nuggets were built to beat nuggets. That's why they won't win
someone always has to play out of their mind on the nuggets vs the lakers.

I was saying that same thing about mpj. Versus the lakers he just goes insane . He always plays good vs them for some reason
Maybe it's the defense

LeBron is great but MJ is the GOAT. Period.
DAaaaaaaaaaan!!! Can yall look at this man not see MJ nuts??? Gotdamn!!
Cope
never seen a bron just like we never seen Mike shut up
u obviously don’t watch basketball 😂
bro shut up
Does JJ really need headphones so big to hear clearly ENOUGH?
Thank you Lebron and JJ for giving us this great content 👏
LEBRON DOESN'T PLAY DEFENSE ANYTIME YOU PLAY WITH HIM YOUR PLAYING 4 VS 5......THAT'S WHY LAKERS CANT WIN....
He is 39yrs.
@@Selftaught so what tell him retire then....
Lebron was so passive in the final seconds of the close out game. IT PISSED ME OFF 😡. Why did Austin Reaves have so many go-ahead shots as if he is the x-factor. BRON COULD’VE JUST DROVE TO THE CUP FOR THE EASY FOUL
Blame it on the rest of the team it’s not all on lebron.
best show on RUclips atm
No accountability. It's on your best players to bring the game home. Up 15 plus in every game except 1. Don't want to hear these excuses. Not Ham fault.
I'm not a Bron fan, but he's speaking facts. As a runner I give myself two weeks off. Feels amazing to restart.
Let me guess it was only Lebron and AD. Maybe they should go get Kyrie, Anthony Edwards, and Jokic. When will people realize that when you stack players with max contract at the top you will eventually have to pay the price. Rob did what he had to do to win that 1 championship.
Not that I am an expert on the subject, but one of the best podcasts ever, not just regarding sports.
He said something most athletes don't think about. That transition from NBA hoops to FIBA is different. Part of preparation should be familiarizing yourself with the rule and equipment changes.
LeBron used to send so many people home, now he is experiencing what it like to be on the other end.
His knowledge appears genuine and thorough, reflecting his analytical and enthusiastic approach. As a dedicated fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, I believe Redick would make an excellent head coach and I wholeheartedly support the team taking a chance on him this offseason.
