Really good video...no excruciating intro, no annoying crappy music, no needless yapping. Straight to the point and informative. Dillon should hire you full time.
At times I think I want an 1100/1050, I see this and say no. I could be load on my 550 before you were done with the conversion. If I had one it would never have a primer size change. I also only run small batches, maybe if I shot steel plate it could change. Very good video. 👍 Love your attention to detail and you have done this a few times.
Granted very old video, but, to remove the primer swage tip just loosen the nut and remove the eye attachment to the pin. The rod then slides out easily.
Great Video, your were shaking like a leaf, but very quality video. I wouldn't have been so professional. That video rocks. Can you show in a layout, what parts you changed out? You did it so fast it looked like a magic show. Like lay out the parts your switch out, or adjustments and such. I plan on getting one of these ASAP. If possible with .45 acp to start with.
Hey sorry just making sure, is it at around minute 7:00 where I change out to the large primer swage rod tip? If so I had to do it like that the first time because there was so much loctite from the factory that I had to put my body weight on it to break it loose, I actually thought i was going to damage it thats how tight it was, maybe applying heat would have helped but I didn’t do that.
@@wallas0786 No I am talking about the tool head sway arm you remove at 1:39 from the primer blast tube ? Can't the guide pin come out of the toolhead and all that comes out together 🤔
Thanks for the excellent vids. I’m setting mine up for the first run. When you are done loading...how do you drain the powder measure? I can’t seem to find that anywhere. What’s the best method to drain?
You have to take off the powder measure and dump the powder back into the original container, I recommend the Armanov quick powder disconnect you see me take it apart fast with no tools at :37 - :52 in the video, if you have any other questions let me know, and thank you.
To replace the swage rod tip, is it necessary to remove the whole axel / handle unit ? I am looking at the Dillon Manual, all they say is to remove the clevis pin, rotate the Con Rod sideways, and the swage assembly should come out....?
I tried the way they said it but it wouldn’t clear, I ended up removing the handle assembly to get it out, also the swage rod tip was glued on with a ton of loctite I forced it off I honestly thought i was going to break something, try it the way they say first and if it works that would be awesome, way less work, let me know.
So I went to try taking the rod off without removing the handle, it is possible as long as they didn’t soak the threads for the rod tip in loctite because you definitely have to take it off in order to take it out, but once you break it free, you wont have to any more, ive only converted it like 2 times but im glad you said something
I FIGURED IT OUT !😁..... after you remove the handle and slide out the pivot block to the right and the swage rod will come out , so you don't have to drop the ram and find the key hole 😎 You're welcome 😊
That D.A bullet feeder tension return spring you have , do you like? And is the lock ring adjustable ? Reason why I ask is because I am thinking about installing it onto 3D printed bullet feeder dropper 🤷♂️

Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Exactly what I was thinking...finally a no BS video.
Ditto. But I do see the advantage of having two of these. Just sayin.....

The reasoning for the extensive work is because of changing from small to large primer feed. If not for that it takes 5 min... Maybe
1 for each caliber. Yes gents, I realize it's expensive, but if you're training as much as you should be, it's worth it.
Holy crap!! I guess the only advantage of the XL750 is how much easier it is to convert calibers
It is a little time consuming to convert but once you get the hang of it its not bad

ALL KIDDING ASIDE GREAT VIDEO

Why did you have to remove the pivot arm on the primer assembly (blast tube)
If the guide pin from the tool head (ratchet system) just removes out?

Yeah you are right, I guess it can just come off together, thank for pointing that out.
@@wallas0786 I was just curious, im about to break down 1100 as well for another caliber
@@firearmconvention946 ok cool let me know if you need anything or have questions.

Hard work
Buy the quick caliber conversion kits for your most used calibers.
Yeah I agree
sick!!!
Thanks bro 🤣
DUDE FORGET ABOUT THE RL1100 I WANT TO SEE SOME REP'S ON THAT CURL BAR ON THE FLOOR .LOL
GAINS
Where do I get that caliper at? I really like that primer measuring base it has

Yeah i love it, i added chain link to it and a nut to the thread it had too much tension now its perfect, I got that from Armanov
What a pain to change
I'm not too mechanically inclined and I have 5 thumbs on each hand so, I guess this isn't the press for me. Nice video though.
对我来说为了换口径,过程太复杂了
Video is near useless, more of speed test than explanation. Very little close ups and description of how to. What is the point.?
