    Maybe I missed it, but any particular reason to tear down new factory loaded rounds instead of just using once fired brass? Seems like that would be a big cost savings since you’re completely stripping down the cartridge anyway.
    Cheers, and super interesting video to watch! Shared a link to it as a post on my page as well.

      This is a demonstration. You would go through these steps, for once fired cases. You can buy bullets in bulk, powder in bulk. Empty cases by the hundreds/thousands. Besides what else is there to do, in your makeshift b💣mb shelter? Just Sit and hope the next nuke dosen't hit your neighborhood? Time is Relevant to all things. You may place your time and interests elsewhere. I have expended hundreds of hours on stones worth thousands. But only a select few, can appreciate the Rarity and effort, to the point of Eagerly handing over $$$$$$ , for a One of a kind (Natural) Gemstone. Most people dont care. Most consumers will spend tens of dollars for pieces of glass, that pretend to come from nature, and be happy.
      Cheers! Enjoy life!😁

    🤯Pretty Amazing Russ on your patience Alone had No Idea one could even do this with these rounds. I would imagine you found it is worth going through this process and worth the time and concentration .Would be great to see results down Range.
    Thanks for Sharing !👍🏻🤯✌🏻

      @nopro5433 Thank you! The accuracy, speed increase, and consistency are insane, and under 500 yards in calm wind, my custom 17HMR rifle with these loads is as accurate as my competition centerfire rifles. I have probably 30 pictures of 5 shot groups at 450 yards (my home range length) between 1-1.5 inches, with a few under 1 inch. A bad day in calm wind is 3-4 inch groups. Maybe I will throw together a vid shooting from 100-450 yards with the loads... 🤔

    Would it speed up the process of removing the primer by wet tumbling with stainless pins. Also, half way through the video you regained 30 years.

    I'm interested in reloading 17 HMR. Where did you get the reloading dies for 17HMR? Did you make it yourself?

    • @russellreed9995
      @russellreed9995  3 дня назад

      @85adema These dies were made for me by a sponsor, and since then I have made a few of my own for some rimfire wildcats. I have considered making some as I know a number of guys that would buy em in a heartbeat if available.

      I reload pistol, rifle & shotgun ammo.
      As for anything rimfire , no thanks .
      Just not worth the time & effort , certainly not cost effective.
      But nice to see the process in your video footage.

    Why don't you have a million subscribers?🤔
    I have always wanted to do this! Slow maybe, but there was a time, not so long ago, that No Am mo, no mo, WAS a thing! When nobody else could find primers/powder,, I wasn't worried.🥱
    Hey,,🙋‍♂️Good Luck, in the Apocolypse!
