    I was born in may of 1999, started listening to Joey and beast coast in early 2013, met the zombies Kirk and nyck in 2018 on my 19th bday, then met everyone on the beast coast album a year and 3 months later on the beast coast world tour. All the people mentioned in this video are a huge reason why I’m so into rap music and without them I don’t think I’d be anywhere near as into music as I am today. 1999 is easily my favourite album of all time. Rip king capital and really hoping for some new beast coast music soon

    Eye appreciate you for this video, Pro Era isn’t talked about enough nowadays n’ how it was a big mark in Hip Hop, Every rapper in Pro Era were amazing lyricist, Especially Steez, I miss him so very much, besides Hip Hop and rapping, Eye believe Steez would’ve been a revolutionary, I mean maybe, a mind like his must be so sporadic. Yet he spoke in such a rational subliminal way, really a person Eye look up to.
    Rest In Peace Steez, Progressive, Productive & Professional Era forever, 47 Til’ Infinity.

    What made Wu-Tang successful was RZA's vision for the group and the outline he laid out for the solo projects until their second release. Pro Era, Odd Future, Raiden Klan among others went with flow.

  • @screamingtrees9619

    This music is what shaped me. Them, underachievers, Flatbush, ASAP, Raider Klan, TDE, Clockwork Indigo.
    Remember my buddies and I would get high and drunk to all these albums and be in awe listening to the wordplay and the production. Flatbush and Underachievers were excellent performers, especially Flatbush.
    My friends and I were outcast cause nobody gave af about conscious rap and the underground, but without the music I probably wouldn’t be the adult I am today without that whole movement. They also had tons of influences aside from hip hop which expanded my musical taste more further such as Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Coldplay and I went even further and obscure from that. Also the movies these guys would recommend. They had it all the style, the influence, the positivity despite their personal and external problems.
    Loved being a part of that shared collectivism that happened at a certain time.

    • @user-nn7ct3hk7c
      @user-nn7ct3hk7c 3 месяца назад

      Imma keep it 💯. STEEZ and Joey were the only ones that stood out and never had filler bars. Even when they were on boom bap beats, none of them could compare to STEEZ and Joey. There’s a reason why Joey is on power and the others are idk where. Joey has talent. I have respect for all the pros but the rest of them were never as interesting or talented. It wasn’t because they switched beats, they just never had the same talent.
