Yeah but u know why kids like STEEZ and Thousands/millions not here? Because they wanted to do something about it and they was going for it. Joey badass now saying he was trying to take it slow, Like this is not something u chose, steez Seen a crack in the curtains and he was feeling to keep opening it more and more and more, Back then Joey would hear Steve's say some shxt and he be be like what the fuck👀 The adults in charge of promoting them Made sure To leave out steez if they could because They knew where steez mind And intentions were, Joey became aware with time of what steez was pushing with time, But he didn't choose to take a slow like hes saying now, You know capital steez and a lot of people didn't have The Choice they realized this shit bugs you out because no one is talking about it especially when you tell people and they look at u as crazy or tell u shut up it's like it push you to even go deeper it's not a choice, It only becomes a choice once you fully understand then it becomes a choice but when something is brand new you still want to keep going down the rabbit hole and fully understand, now a lot of people don't like it but people like capital steez, they was very curious and brave and they wanted to see the unseen and you know

I hate to say it but as I've traveled around the country, I've met a lot of folks like Steez. Brilliant talents with unbelievable inner beauty. So many of them end up on the street or dead. Some of them make it, most of them don't. Steez could have ended up embroiled in conspiracy and stuck in limbo or he could have reached the brilliance of the best rappers. We'll never know, but talent exists in a different category then success and that fact has a lot of significance in our loss of this undeniably genius artist.

I still remember the first time I heard him on Survival Tactics, it was just 2 dope lyricists with so much energy. I’m only 18, I discovered STEEZ in 10th grade, so in like 2019, I remember just being so interested and felt extremely shocked to find out he’d been dead since 2012, but that didn’t stop me from going and hearing his discography. I just wish he’d waited a bit longer, he was ahead of his time and would’ve had so many fans rn. What makes it worse is that MF DOOM is gone now too, one of Steelo’s biggest inspirations. Now I’m 24 about to be 25 and I think a lot about my childhood, influence, old fiends and drugs I was doing at a young age, And I also think about how STEEZ was just a kid himself but the thing he was saying in his raps was shit I didn’t even think about. The mind is a truly a complicated thing we all go through especially as children and young adults. I just wish he stuck around a little longer and maybe lay off the drugs a little bit, I personally think that played a part cause they were experimenting. He would’ve most likely been the next DOOM if he was still here but maybe the pressure from the music industry got to him. I miss the dude like a long lost friend and revisit AK47 every year. He really put me onto spirituality and numerology at a very young age and to see things come full circle with how things are nowadays is wild. I guess i dont know much about it like how much of it was done, but after seeing the disgusting puppeteer “weekend at bernies” act they pulled with people like XXXTENTACION and Juice Wrld I’m a little relieved. Like not only did they stitch together and release X’s unfinished album Skins he had been working on before death, but they legit like took a bunch of fuckin random ass recordings and snippets and one off like hooks he had recorded accapella and all sorts of other shit to make “Bad Vibes Forever”.
That was fucking nasty man. Im not even gonna lie man im 26 and i was a huge fan of X, regardless of “lyricism” or “real hip hop” whatever, his music emotionally touched me ina way i needed at the time and after he died and i heard Bad Vibes i fuckin cried. It was like i was listening to a message someone who died left for me, except someone actually just stiched together old random voicemails and clips of them talking to make it in order to trick me into giving them money and I know X wouldn’t have fucked with that AT ALL. I guess his mom was the ultimate deciding factor in all that, and she did it for money that will probably (hopefully) go to help raise his child and keep her sustained, so likely he wouldve wanted it to happen anyways. But, i know he wouldnt have fucked with that album or how it was created. It was fucking weird. Also, i hella doubt any of his family was hurting for money before BVF anyways

Everytime I re-explore this story, I can't help but to get really sad, not only because he died, but also because he's one of fav rappers and, as weird as it sounds, I see so many parallels between him and I. I feel so hurt by this loss, even though I didn't even know about him until like 2017. Jus RIP Steelo, you'll be miss, I wish you could see how much love and support you have now and how you really could've grown your career.

I remember the day it happened I was 20, me and my bro always bumped Capital Steeze, Pro Era, Joey and them all the time. It hit me so hard when it happened I had to sit in a room by myself and just smoke and listen to all his songs as my eyes filled up. I always was saying at the time he was so much deeper lyrically then the rest of them and his music just hit me in my soul. Sucks he didn't realise the impact he was actually having on people, he really could of been one of the greatest....he is one of the GOATs to me that's for sure.

I can remember living with my grandma when I was 18 around 2013 shortly after his death and I was writing to an instrumental on my laptop and the picture was steez with the supreme logo over his eyes. This was what I wrote:
Call me cliche, but they call me the chosen one.
It's a lonely throne when you're the only golden one,
You're probably waitin for my hair to flare yellow,
Seen death, I'm not impressed where the hells my halo?
Jade green eyes, hide my past like the tide,
True blue sky, horizon I'm on the rise,
Good morning, sun through the shades, stretchin and yawnin feelin stuck in a daze,
My callings, lost in the maze,
I'm fallin, feelin stuck in my ways
    Yeah I know you,
    Don't bother introducing me,
I see what you are from here, I see you translucently,
People change, I ain't even who I used to be,
Pray I stay the same, no regrets in my eulogy,
I was born in the darkness,
    You adopted it,
I'm riddick when I'm with it call me bringer of apocalypse,
    Soul stay tinted,
    This body's just a shell,
A facade to hide the story that the dragon can't unveil,
    The scales from the beast,
    Breathe air out of hell,
When my bones disappear with dust, then you tell tales,
Soulstone opal but my outside emerald,
    Gem droppin since birth,
    Pages off the pinnacle,
Lookin for my start, like the key in the ignition,
    Found it in these pages,
On this road, I am driven,
Rollin rockets, and I'm in the cockpit,
    Smokin comet,
    No accomplice,
    Chillin in the darkness,
    Off the top,
Getting fogged in a parking lot bitch,
    Everything I spit is clean,
    Youre in the fucking garbage,
    Can't pronounce this,
    Sacred is the name,
Sent back from whence you came,
    Retreat to the darkness,
    Flames doused out,
    When the king comes out,
No, this the end of the drought,
    When the king comes out,
    Judgement day upon us,
    Sky open, bow down
Get the crown from out the ground,
    Bring the wooden chalice,
    While the planet bounces around,
    On my opal studded pendent,
    My remembrance,
Every word given you won't forget em cuz I meant it
Good morning, sun through the shades, stretchin and yawnin feelin stuck in a daze,
My callings, lost in the maze,
I'm fallin, feelin stuck in my ways. x2

"and I still haven't found my placement... cuz hip hop hasn't made a leap of faith yet.." that may be it right there. the depression knowing his level of talent and what he was trying to do and the hopeless feeling that it would never really be felt or amount to what he wanted to get out. like they just wanna listen to ignorant stuff, no one will support this, no one really cares, so let me be a memory.

Whether he took his own life due to mental illnesses that were unchecked, or he was just a distressed man full of emotions, who believed every word he spoke about a shift n change in society.

Luke‬ ‭4:9-12‬ Satan trying to deceive Jesus (God)
“Then Satan brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him,
“If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
We are not Gods, but instead children of the only God who Satan hates and wants to destroy. Simple as that. Seek Jesus and live!

Heard steez for the first time literally that December he left us, it was wild. I was in science class sophomore year when my boy that knew I listened to pro Era asked me if I heard about it, had to be 12/24/12. That was the first time I became a fan of somebody who died. To this day it still gets me. Especially the deeper you go into him, his lyrics,a d his lifestyle. He was thinkin the way a lot of us do now, but at 19. Poor guy. I always wonder, what did he see that was so unbearable that he couldn't be here? As long as the people that clicked on this video keep playin his music, he'll never die, always cherished, RIP Steelo

YES THE 47 HERO. THE MOST EVIL HERO TO WALK THE EARTH. The Lord showed me a dream back in 2020. I was hanging out with jasper from OF and behind him was this gangster with the number 47 written all over his body. he wanted to kill me. When he went to kill me jasper pulled a gun on him and then he backed off. We sat down round a table. While sitting the 47 hero showed jasper a vision of what he wanted to do to me. Once jasper saw the vision His eyes turned completely black. Then i yelled "DONT LISTEN TO HIM HE IS LYING TO YOU". but he picked up a kitchen knife and lodged it in the side of my neck. And i woke up squirming and twitching. GOD says DO NOT TRUST THE DEVIL. Amen.

Despite dropping most of those beliefs beyond modern science i still have confidence in believing steez was in tune with something more divine than a vast majority of others . Whatever that may be is beyond me but is something i respect on a profound level

      Public Assembly Unreleased
      Song Lyrics
      [Intro]
I didn't even record this shit yet, like on some real shit. Don't tell me "I don't feel it" because I dont care because its real, you know. Like I had no other choice but to feel it
      [Verse 1: Capital STEEZ]
I've been emancipated from mental slavery, that's word to my rastas
Cell blocked mind so I got my head locked up
My third eye chakra was blocked and the flash from the cops
Made this indigo path that I follow, that's word to my father
Watch when the Babylon pass Got a stash in my basketball pants
Got enough fire to light up a whole camp
I an I never thought to inspire a grown man
PROgression is the basis with eleven different phases
The faces of the Moon cause the Earth to start shaking
They say it's our world for the taking and Imma win it all for my girl and my bacon
Lately I've been thinking since it's dried up like raisins
The system's like bud when we break it
The slim foundation were undeveloped seeds in the middle
That's why they really need an individual
So I guess we're the biggest and we're setting up the villains for the rest of you niggas
Deny? Nigga I'm the best don't forget it
All it took was 13 steps and I did it
      [Hook: Capital STEEZ]
And today I got a feeling that I’ve never felt
And I don’t know what I don’t know what I don’t know what to say
But today I got a feeling like none before
      And I guess I can’t, I guess I can’t, I guess I can’t explain
      [Verse 2: Capital STEEZ]
I was born to be a step ahead shit, they got the system to assist them
We got the system that turned us into Victims
All my aunts was living with eight children and section 8 is still trying to evict them
Said look at the world we’re here living in
I’m too proud to say it ain’t law abiding citizens
It’s cuz I’m black isn't it? Or the characteristics of your last statistic
Bastards said I couldn’t define happiness and my master said I couldn’t pass as a pacifist
I dealt with more pain than a masochist
And I hold back tears like a hankerchief
I said I wanna be a rap star
Mom saw black cards and fast cars
Fuck Ferraris, Bacardi and Parties I wanna change the world I'm Awfully sorry
Time for me to be the next Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey or Mohandas Gandhi
And follow MLK tips, JaKK riding shotty while we steer towards greatness
And I still haven’t found my placement
Cuz hip hop hasn't made a leap of faith yet
      [Hook: Capital STEEZ]
And today I got a feeling that I’ve never felt
And I don’t know what I don’t know what I don’t know what to say
But today I got a feeling like none before

Survival Tactics was one of the first rap tracks that got me into the genre. From the first time I heard Steez, I just got rap as an art form like I never had before. The flow, the emotional intensity, the layers of meaning in his lyrics. Whenever I get to a dark place I always think about Steez, because it makes me realise how much potential is lost by not choosing life. I think he would have changed the world for the better even more than he already has. It breaks my heart to think about all the incredible things he would have done, but I'm so grateful for his life and the art he left behind. Rest easy King Steelo.
