Syd, so glad you recognize stress management as a big role in your pain management. Meditating is hard for people with busy brains, but think of it as just another challenge that you have to stay consistent with- a workout for your brain! It has done wonders for my fibromyalgia and overall mental health.
Sydney, Maui Vera Is honestly all you need. Gets rid of sunburn in a night and doesn’t make you peel. Best thing ever!!
Also, I started going to yoga classes and it’s really helped with stress (obviously movements are modified as needed). Stress really is a killer.
Going back to the back issues, body mechanics and posture are so important and it’s so easy to get “stuck” moving the wrong way and throwing those mechanics off. I know the frustration.

I have the same exact issue with my back! I’ve had pain like this for years and my physical therapist said I’ve strained my trap muscle and I still have pain to this day due to not fixing it from the beginning and it building up overtime. I struggle with my posture and constant tightness/burning in my upper back. I can say that on your own, massaging the knots out with a lacrosse ball works for short pain relief, as well as standing up straight! PT is a game changer as long as you’ll stick with your exercises after you stop going!

Im so sorry about your sunburn, I also got literally fried on the 4th. As a native Floridian I can say that aloe and lotion is probably best for sunburns. The Florida sun is unforgiving. I have a few aloe plants that I’ll just cut a piece off of to use when needed. Or you can buy aloe gel from the store. Some sunburn gels will have aloe and lidocaine which is a lifesaver too
I am definitely going to try the mug cake recipe once I’m done my competition prep! It looks and sounds so good and easy to make!
For the ninja creami, adding sugar free fat free jello pudding mix is helpful to make it thicker. I do about 7g and it seems like enough so it’s not so icy.

You should definitely try going to a Registered Massage Therapist!! Physical therapy and that have really helped my back, neck, and headaches!!! Massage is so good at relieving tension!! I’d also recommend therapy to maybe talk about ways to learn to relax ❤❤❤❤❤ you got this. Take care of yourself ❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so glad you went to a physical therapist! (I’m a physical therapist assistant and recommended it on another video where you talked about your back). It sounds like you found a good one too! I’ve had similar issues myself and see my former professor when needed (cant exactly work on my own back lol). You’d be surprised how much a difference it can make when you really put in the effort to do the exercises and things prescribed. I hope you feel better soon!

No fear of weight, simply fueling my body and checking in with myself / tracking macros is a great way to do so 🤍

Aloe is best for sunburns, as I’m sure you know by now. Lol Skincare lines have some you can buy and leave in the fridge also but I’m sure the aloe like you got is best though

Haven't watched the whole video, but after you were discussing your back pain and issues, I had to read comments to see what people were saying. While I think PT has it's own spot in helping you fix this problem, you need to go to a chiropractor, and get fully back and neck x-rays. No one should be adjusting you without seeing x-rays. During the pandemic, working from home, leaning over my coffee table, I started getting tingling in my left quad. It wouldn't stop, and it was worse when I was trying to sleep on my back. I finally talked myself up to leaving my home to see a new chiropractor, and it was a good thing I did, because in addition to a nerve problem in my hip area, my neck had severe degeneration issues going on, and I was so close to needing surgery. I'm not saying to stop working with your PT, but you need to get full back/neck x-rays and talked to a chiropractor. I had to get worked on twice a week for six months, then it dropped to once a week. It was a little over a year before the tingling stopped. I didn't think it was ever going to go away, but you have to have faith, and let doctors to their work, as well as God! Hang in there sweetie. I will keep you in my prayers! Hugs... 💗
Self tanning actually damages the outer layer of your skin in order to change the pigment to it and make you look tanned! So that’s probably why you burned so much easier out on the boat!

Along with maybe seeing a chiropractor, it sounds like you need to see a good massage therapist to work those knots out. Hope you feel better real soon. Back pain is the worst!

Hi Sydney - in addition to PT & massage, you might want to look into something called “active isolated stretching”. There are therapists who can do this with you. Chronic pain is terrible - praying for you

Try Physical therapy…. After your abdominal surgery they might be able to pinpoint some weaknesses in your core … pelvic floor… hips etc that might be exacerbating your back problems.
