- Author Douglas Murray has blasted the “corrupt” South African government following his trip to the country.
Mr Murray says the country has the “lowest education standards in Africa”.
“Somalis are better educated than South Africans,” Mr Murray told Sky News Australia.
“They’ve got more than 50 per cent youth unemployment.
“These are the sorts of real-world effects of misgoverning in a country.”
This is 100 percent correct. Most South Africans are ashamed of the ANC government.

I am a South African and disappointed with the level of poverty, corruption and crime such as rape, murder, theft and kidnapping.
Any government that cannot keep the lights on and taps running should be ashamed and kicked out of power.
What really maddened us, was seeing miles of trucks waiting to get to the docks to export coal, but apparently there is a coal shortage.

Grew up in Letsitele / Tzaneen area. I am now in my fifties. So I have first hand knowledge of the changing demographics and its impact.
The simple fact is that the demographics and culture has a bigger correlation than just purely the number of people in the city.
Do apples to apples and oranges to oranges comparison. When I lived in Pretoria - Sunnyside and Arcadia area in the 1986 - 1994 time period - the crime rates was low. It was basically whitey city back then.
After 1994 of course to current the demographics of that area totally changed to basically 90% the demographic that may never be blamed.
So how did the area change? Well - for example the excellent block of flats - Schubart Park in mid Pretoria that was a very modern well maintained block of flats that had a big swimming pool, clinic, shops etc - is now condemned. Even the door and window frames ripped out of the building. Same for the barracks in Pretorius street that I stayed in when I was in the Police.
Sunnyside and Arcadia I would be careful of getting out of a car at night time now.
I live in Centurion - still majority white area in Pretoria. Lot less crime, but there is house invasions, break-ins, robbery.... but you can guess which demographic that may never be blamed is the ones that is committing the crimes.

The problem here in 🇿🇦 is that the average person in SA doesn’t realise that the Government and the ANC are one and the same. They see them as separate entities. They blame the government for their plight, but believe the ANC propaganda and keep voting for them.

I am a South African and we have we have been on a steady decline since 1994 when the ANC came into power. We now have to fund private security in our homes because the police force is ineffective and corrupt. We have to fund private education because the state schools are absolutely useless - I pay about $18500 per year for my two sons to attend private school. We have to fund our own electricity through inverters or solar systems due to the failure of the state owned grid collapse. We have to fund our own water in some areas due to state run water supplies being contaminated. We have to fund private medical aids for private hospitals because our state run hospitals are unable to cope with the volume - people die in the corridors waiting for help. And on top of this we have to pay exorbitant taxes for services that we don’t receive. The ANC have not delivered on any of their promises to their supporters but continue to get voted in because they are seen as the liberation party. They rely on the uneducated masses to keep them in power so there is no benefit to educate the youth because as soon as they do, they will be voted out by educated voters. Politicians drive around in luxury vehicles and live in mansions with private security funded by the tax payer and corruption, while the majority live in poverty with the threat of violent criminals ever present. What a sad state we find ourselves in because of the ANC.
Tell us something we don't know. We warned the world now it is all starting to happen to them as well.

Douglas Murray, such an astute person, able to get to the heart of the tragedy in SA. Youth joblessness - which means these young people will not develop further skills, will not gain in experience and wisdom, will (probably) never feel pride in achievements, never learn to grow through criticism, both positive and negative, to finally become wiser mentors to another young generation. To have all that young energy and potential wasted is the saddest of all.
It is a bitter irony that in a country where toddlers die in pit toilets at schools, where children go to bed hungry, where the death rate from crimes exceeds that of deaths in Gaza, where the public health system regularly fails the sick and infirm, where basic human rights access to water is neglected, the govt responsible for all that mismanagement should accuse another country of genocide.
The ANC - a bunch of inept, idiotic idealogues, corrupt crooks, arrogant a*holes in Gucci loafers, drinking the most expensive whisky, driving the biggest German SUV's whilst they agitate for decolonization. There's growing support for a movement against eff and anc. Anc Thabo Mbeki even came out the other day to chastise the ANC, ANC youth league and EFF. They’ve completed a state capture commission of enquiry which identified some 90 of their ANC MPs as being involved in looting government coffers. Their previous state president has been running rings around the legal system for two decades on his corrupt dealings. And yet they have time to put a posse together and arrive at The Hague whilst their own house burns.

I live in Queensland now but visited Sydney last year. Walking around Circular Quay was like being in a foreign country.
Multiculturalism can work to a degree for decades but eventually ends in tears.
My sister lives there, and the adjacent suburb is basically 'no go' for non-Muslims (particularly women).
Other suburbs dominated by people of one foreign country or another.
