I've got to say, Wailord EX, from the Sandstorm set of Ruby and Sapphire cards, was probably the redeeming EX card. I abused it so much. It was a tank, weighing in at 200 hp. On top of that, its attack, Dwindling Wave did 100 damage for 4 energy, minus 10 for each damage counter on Wailord. HOWEVER, using its 1-energy attack, Super Deep Dive, Wailord could retreat FOR FREE (as opposed to its normal cost of 5), heal 30 hp, and throw another benched Pokemon out onto the field.
Gardevoir EX from sandstorm was also a phenomenal card. Got second at worlds. But he’s talking about the RSE ones, not the sandstorm and dragon ones.

Okay, I'm 1 minute in, and watching it for the first time in 2015. JWittz, you really used to do that for your intro? I think that just caused me to laugh the most I have in a while. I'm glad you removed it, because I don't think I'd be able to take you seriously if you had kept that.

Ability: Whenever you attach an energy to Suicune, discard an energy attatched to Suicune. If Suicune has no energy attatched to it, you cannot attatch an energy to Suicune.
I think that's what it said.. Idk.
That was only for water energy from your hand and it only needed one to attack, you had to use it with other cards with effects that let you move energy from one pokemon to another.

Huh... I actually have this card. It has the Poké Body Pure Body, "To attach a water energy card from your hand to Suicune, you must discard an Energy card attached to Suicune. (Attach the water energy, and then discard an Energy card from Suicune.)" Along with the attack Hypno Wave, which cost 3 energy (1 water, 2 colorless) and does 30+ a coin flip affect, "Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage. If tails, this attack does 30 damage and the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep."
It has 70 HP, a weakness to electric, no resistance, a retreat cost of one, and was the promo card that came with the Pokémon 4 Ever VHS... It's one of the few movie promo cards that I still have, the others being: Pokémon the 3rd movie promo Entei with reverse holo, Pokémon the 3rd movie promo Unown J, and the Pokémon the First Movie Promo Mewtwo

I feel like the Unown series has more purpose in being an aesthetic card, instead of actually having playable value. And I believe that may also be the same with maybe a few other cards as well.

I remember watching this video on my old iPad at my dad's house on his wifi. How I long for those times of innocence.
In it's day, Base set Haunter was certainly not terrible, simply because of the other decks people were playing. Speedy sleep decks could use Haunter to counter the godawful Mulligan Mewtwo decks, if mewtwo spends one tern asleep, you knock it out, and the game could well be over. I played it in some events and it was not a bad rouge deck. It was also a good counter for Hitmonchan, a card every Haymaker deck centered on.
If the intro is never gonna be done again... It will not be missed.

I'm for reintroducing Minion of Team Rocket as a supporter card which lets you do the effect without a coin flip, and shuffles it into the deck.
What about using Call for Friends to pull out Arceus (Fighting)? Or is that Arceus counted as an evolution of normal Arceus?

No, it's not Exodia. It's the fact that every deck in the game would play as many copies as possible at once, because it's a card that gives you an extra option in a game with very few limits on what you can do in a turn. A six cars starting hand when your opponent has no way to stop your plays is pretty much the same thing as Exodia for most decks. Correction: most meta decks.

Then... then don't put another energy on it and don't use Call for Friend. If a move sucks, don't use it. Marowak was certainly nothing special but I would definitely say just off the top of my head, Base Goldeen/Seaking were worse.

When you say that it's "just your opinion", I'm not sure how factual that is. The usefulness of a Pokemon card is a measurable fact. It's probably more accurate to say "as far as I can tell".

If your opponent lost all of their pokemon after using Blain's Moltres when you still have a basic on your bench, you win the game even if you flip tails because your opponent doesn't have anymore pokemon.
Really it's a shame about the Rocket machines because the trainer card art in that set was brilliant.

About full heal, I never thought of it as bad. Yes, switch can be a betteroption, but so is the Team Rocket full heal energy. If I really want a pokemon to use a specific attack because of strategy, I MAY add a few full heal and 4 rocket energy to get it to work.
The description for the 2008 magikarp is amazing, it basically states "thought to be the weakest pokemon ever. Nobody knows quite how it managed to survive." Wow

I'd like to throw in a trio of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune cards from a Nintendo promo. They all have the effect where if you attach an energy of their own type (e.g. fire energy to entei), you need to discard another energy attached to them. The inconvenience this would put you into would in my opinion at least beat out new Bill.

if running out of cards in your deck means you lose, could that at least add a bit of use to blaines moltres in a stalling based deck? combine it with something like the flygon lvx ability to wear down their deck while stalling and topping up your own a bit.
having said that, i havent played the tcg since i was 8, so i have no idea if that even works or if there are better cards that do the same thing
use for unown z:
say you have 0 cards in your deck after you draw one
you use his power; i card in deck
you do your turn normally
your turn rolls around again
you pick unown z; 0 cards
you play unown z into your bench
you use his power; 1 card again
repeat untill you win the game (you can't run out of cards unless unown z is ko'd)
I know this is an old video, but with the Unown card. If you draw it when you have 0 cards left in your deck, can't you use it's ability as soon as you draw it to never lose by running out of cards, or is there some kind of rule about that? Thanks!
