I love Todd's truck because it appears so stock looking. Other than some wheels & tires it looks like a regular 3rd gen mega cab. And then it kicks ass.
@@pddofficial I bet! If I am having fun with my 500ish HP "5th" gen, I can only imagine driving around on the street with anything over 1k HP let alone 1,400 HP.
Brother it’s 3am and you’re still in your race jacket lol. Seriously I respect the fact that you showed a transmission failure, obviously it’s mechanical and even the best will fail eventually. Most people (shop owners) would’ve deleted that part or blamed it on something else you guys have my respect thank you for all the 24 valve parts.
Awesome content! Definitely fun to compete and with such a great team! Super awesome to loan the engine to Gordon, that's paying it back for sure Josh. Love the Myer studying the transmission shot. Always good to have a solid transmission builder in your pits and a good set of engine builders too.
Wow. Todd's truck is surprisingly clean! Blows only a slight amount of black smoke and competes well! Josh's truck cleans up pretty good too. Todd's truck, I think, is especially impressive all around, being that it's also his daily driver. Seriously, congratulations to you guys! The teamwork here is awesome.
It is an amazing daily for the power level. Super clean with amazing EGT control. I recently took a vid of me pulling my camper up the steepest grade anywhere near me and I will put that in a future vid.
Todd "i had never sled pulled before" now saying "didn't think I'd do good" proceeds to almost always kick a$$ in sled pulls everytime he says that!!! Keep it up!!!
Dang I give alot of respect to mayer and the kid that did my fire ring man they were on it, thats a pit crew their like guwedo the fork lift on cars the move at least I know where to for my next transmission 👍👍👍👍👍
Curious as to what wizardry you used to get the 47 to work if you’re willing to share a bit ? Anyways thanks for the content you guys do hands down when it comes to the diesel community you guys are the best.
47re rooster comb swap on the 48re VB so it would clear the 47re neutral safety switch. Custom wiring on the neutral indicator to to swap from 48re 5 wire style to 47re 3 wire setup.
@@Dirtyol12valve it was good for a temporary fix, the truck needed to think it was in neutral for the electronic shift transfer-case to work. So we just grounded a wire and zip-tied the sensor to the neutral position.
Glad you both did well. Disappointed to not see the blown sprag carnage. Any idea why it let go? In manual low you have band assist as well so it doesn't normally pose an issue.
Was that 3k hp number by Chris the first truck to hit that? I know you guys and a lot if other people have been chasing that number but I haven't heard anyone get there but you didn't really talk or make a big deal about it.
Kind of curious how much HP and TQ I got if I did everything wrong LOL. Spent some money on my 2006 Ram. I have some naysayers telling me I wasted my time if I think I doubled my power. This is my First diesel. I am not new to turning wrenches. 46% Industrials, 12m stoker cp3. 67/67 .9 stock appearing turbo. Hamilton springs and Pushrods. Studded. Air dog 165. 4" exhaust, and gasket match everything. Got a tune from the FirePunk last year. Trans was built last year. My head gasket blew and decided to do all this while I was at it. Is there any thing else I can add before I finish putting this back together?
Anyone know why my ppump 12v trucks buring oil/slight break up 1st gear around 2k rmp will give a white puff. It stops the second turbo lights up an doesnt do it if truck gets up to temp. Any tips would be appreciated. 90% over injectors airdog 150, s364 new head with 60lbs springs. Truck pulls hard an clean really wana figure it out.
It needs more injection timing! Add 4 more degrees to it and see if the unburned fuel problem goes away at that rpm range. When the boost comes in, the higher in-cylinder compressed air temp is probably masking the low timing problem.

Todd breaks out first rip lol hi I am Todd and I like to party
😂😅🤣
What?! THAT IS FANTASTIC!!! Man you both did a great job!!! CONGRATULATIONS JOSH!!!
Thanks Power driven diesel. Y'all make the best diesel content on YT hands down. 10 out of 10
Thank you!

You need to set up some dirt drags down there. Everyone knows there are plenty of fields to do that in.

Nothing like pulling a trans laying in gravel. It's an experience every automotive engineer/designer should have to experience.
Facts!
Great Recap. The PDD team really got after it. Congrats Josh!!
I like the way he said We'll rip out the transmission ... never saw him under there once while taking it out.

It really is strange to me how well i usually end up doing in the sled pulls I enter!
Horsetorques with the dyno sponsorship 🐕🐕🐕 pretty sick
I’m having trouble going slow 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
It really was an odd feeling trying to go slower!
Awesome can't wait to see what the truck dose next yr

I wanted to be there! Broken cam drive kept me home. Well try to make it next year!
Todd looks so wasted 😂 good job to both of you!
This is so cool ! Man you guys are so awesome 😬💪🏻👍🏻

Awesome, and glad you had fun too.. but you do look tired as hell!
I'm getting to old for these repeated late nights!

Open those mirrors up. That will slow you down, lol....
thumbs up for the crew
Josh, when are you going to release the horsetorque stickers? Really need one for my truck
Curious,..whos th song you play on intro?
Love seeing these diesels race like this
I like that green from the white it was
IVE NEVER CLICKED SO FAST

He is the first to hit it on a chassis dyno, It was very cool to see it!
Todd if you like that he351cw look into a garrett ptrim .
I'm glad for Josh. He's had his share of disappointment.
Why was there two transmission filters on top of each other?
Can you do that?
Is it for better filtration?
Did i see a one piece rear driveshaft in a megacab?
Yes
👍💪
Can’t go faster or get booted 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I wouldn't see why it would t be double with that but I do think injectors could be a little bigger
Injectors could be a bit bigger but I have made 800/1200 with 45%’s on a compound truck
U got about 3hp more.well maybe 4hp on a good day!!!!

That's the biggest door I've ever seen.
What happened to the frankenstein build?!
What's the pint of going slow on the track?
