Same dude I’m feeling deeply nostalgic for Parker’s era lately. He’s such a soft boy. It was my most silent era. I really soaked in the world and described it through poetry. I felt immense feelings like falling in love and brewing hatred and yet I didn’t say a word. The kid might have been an anime dweeb but man do I wish for that same level of unmasking and peace today…

I love seeing all your different "phases" interact, it's an important thing I learned while reading 'Healing the fragmented selves of trauma survivors' that it helps so much to be able to see your different selves and refer as an outsider, to see your problems
Talking to and healing your inner child is something not enough people do
I loved to see that some parts of you wanted to ignore the problem while some wanted to fix it, really accurate. Healing hurts but I'm glad you've made it here
And of course, the whole animation was great and a nice way to meet everyone and share what each of those creatures represented.

I love portraying which eras are actually interested in healing. Like Black Bird is obviously still a child herself so she’s resentful of Wild Child getting so much attention. I know by the end of this, the other eras will realize we have THREE inner children; W.C., B.B., and Parker. And that they all need help. Hailey and Robin are already the best at comforting, but man do I need Holly to hop on board too. She’s the only adult who doesn’t act like one and it’s gonna cause problems when it’s supposed to be 3 adults helping 3 children and instead 2 adults helping 4 children. That’s why some of them don’t like her; because it’s a lot of work and she’s not mature enough to realize it. Here’s to hoping we help Holly the most ❤️🩹

As a person with D.I.D, I really resonated with this. Even if you don’t have D.I.D Hawley, this video is very helpful and refreshing for those with dissociative personality disorders. It’s so important to communicate (kindly!) with your younger inner self/selves! I also really like the personification of the disorders, and how animalistic they are. They aren’t human like the others, because your disorders aren’t you, and you aren’t your disorders!!! A very important distinction! And a great way to show your struggles with your trauma in a way thats easy to understand! Thank you for explaining everything! It was a mystery I was very curious about :) what an awesome video! Merry Christmas y’all!

Hailey's dinosaur snort/sigh (3:19) is such a great touch. I'm beginning to wonder if, should she be based on a certain dinosaur, she'd be a Maiasaura, as a nod to the dinosaur's name - given the way she behaves toward Wild Child here. Awesome job, I absolutely love this!
OH MY GOD ALL OF THE INTERACTIONS ARE SO CUTE AND WELL THOUGHT OUT!! The lil designs for the disorder creatures, like, making them loook almost childlike is so cool, especially since a lot of disorders like that develop when you’re a kid…
i cant wait to see more from this series!! possibly the best healing journey project i’ve ever seen.
Even though the entities represent pretty serious things, I LOVE THEIR DESIGNS SO MUCH- I love the unique designs for the eras, too! They each have such cool and different personalities! Can’t wait for more to come in the future! :)

I frickin love the voices, I dunno how to explain it but I really like how all the eras have subtle differences in their voices, but never too different so you know they're all the same person but not the same if ykwim

I’m currently in my Holly hater era 💀 Parker at least learns to love her because they share a deep passion for stories and she’s the one who finishes Twelve for him. But Robin? Nah all Holly ever did for current me was mask and suppress things so hard it put me in danger and did irreparable damage 😔 My therapist really wants me to love all my eras by the end of this so Holly’s will be very interesting
@PetPyves Eh, society, especially America's society, barely lets us unmask. Yeah, it did do damage, but..at least we can see where Holly comes from.

I really like your designs for your mental illnesses, it’s refreshing to not see them designed as ‘evil’ or inherently wrong to have, but still something a little out of place that you struggle with
I agree on this, I love how their designs are unique but still represent what they are and mean in a way like clockworks as ptsd can last a lifetime, good luck on your healing process- River
@Comfortcritteryeah, keeping them distinct enough from the actual people without making them evil or bad. They’re not you, they don’t make you *you*, but they’re still a part of you that can affect you.
You know, it is an interesting question to explore how different versions of your past self from different points in time would get along. Love how you explored it, and although I'll miss Wild Child's era when it's over, this does make me look forwards to seeing the other eras too. Also lowkey love that Hailey said they would learn a thing or two from Wild Child. I think many of us have a thing or two we need to learn from our inner child. Awesome vid!
As an immature 20 year old, I see myself in Holly! A childish adult, being told to grow up, but just wanting to be me. I might be misinterpreting it, but I get her. Can't wait for her era!

Disclaimer because I do realize the whole text block I typed out is me talking about you and your eras as characters- you’re a real person and I don’t know you personally so it felt weird not to say something like this first.
But as a fellow visual storyteller, it’s really interesting how you can see that each era is very much a reaction to the previous one. Wild Child is very genuine to the point of being bullied so Blackbird became a bully to protect herself, Blackbird is still very loud about their feelings but is more abrasive, and Parker still has that abrasive quality that many teenagers do but is much quieter about it, likely because in your mid teens being loud and aggressive in establishing your feelings gets you in a lot of trouble if you aren’t as good with people and social skills (speaking from experience, I relate a lot to this). Holly definitely feels like a Parker who realized they have to please other people and be what other people want or expect her (Holly) to be in order to survive as someone in the age range of legal adult but still not mentally an adult, which feeds into the fact that the next era (I think?) isn’t until Hailey at 25 who still like has that performative femininity (a characteristic I read a lot of from Holly and Hailey’s designs and behavior) that Robin and vaguely you don’t seem to have as much, but particularly that nurturing tendency you seem to have retained most of the time throughout the eras from my vague understanding (parentification oof can relate), but is maybe a lot more laid back than Holly because Hailey doesn’t have to work as hard to convince others that she’s an adult kind of thing. This could all be me just hypothesizing and could be completely wrong but I just wanted to talk about it cuz I couldn’t get it out of my head.
TL:DR,
I finished watching this like twice through and kept thinking about it, because you do a really really good job of showing how the eras are in their animated behavior and dialogue and that allows people like me to notice the chronology and fill in the (vague and very generalized because I don’t know you like that) blanks. It’s really cool and you’re an excellent storyteller through your dialogue, character design, and so on. Thank you for sharing all of this.
Sorry if it’s a weird comment, it’s tricky talking about how well you’ve designed these characters and how well you tell this story while also keeping in mind that this is literally the story of your real life about you- but I think that’s part of what makes this project so interesting and unique.
I just want you to know I read this comment daily and it fills me up with so much warmth and joy. The highest compliment I never receive is about my writing. I truly believe it's my mastered craft and everything else I do will never top it. Your media literacy gives me so much hope and faith in humanity because I write for people like YOU- the ones who can rewatch the content and still find new things because I pride myself in details. Genuinely adore every single element of this!
I am a system on my own healing journey in therapy, and seeing your eras all talking as their own people and working to heal together, even when there are conflicts reminds me a lot of my experience working with my alters to heal. I'm not saying that you are plural (I don't know you personally and you have never stated such, but you're valid no matter what), but your experiences tap into a lot of similar experience working with my own parts. I think this shows the fluidity of people through their life and how they grow to view elements of themselves, and how accepting and working with our parts of ourselves is how we grow and heal as people.
Your work is always cathartic, wonderful and healing, both I would hope for yourself, and parasocially from shared experiences. I wish you the best in your healing Hawley.
Saw the FAQ and Hawley explicitly does not have DID. I think that no matter what, the healing journey is wonderful to connect to

Actually so hyped to see the rest of the eras! Black Bird’s design is probably my favorite, but my favorite voice is Parker’s. And Holly is so sweet! I’ve definitely been in that kind of situation, so I relate a lot to her. And it was really cool seeing the entities and learning what they are!
And most of all, IT WAS SO COOL SEEING THE PERSONAS INTERACT! I was hoping we could see that!

This was so cute. I love that they all got to meet. It’s probably gonna take a while for them to get used to each other but I think once they do, they’re all gonna be like a big happy family.

I love the different inactions and conversations the characters/eras have. It’s really interesting to see the resentment and the love they have for each other as well. I already have a favorite (Hailey with Robin being second) so I am very excited to see what is going to happen with the other eras :D
Hey, I just wanted to let you know how much these videos have meant to me. I really don’t want to sound ‘venty’ out of respect for your boundaries so I won’t go into any detail but as a teenager going through trying times and home life these videos remind me that there is a way to heal and that it’s not easy or quick but it’s there. Thank you for sharing with us, it’s not easy, and I hope for a bright future for you, you deserve it!

Also, I’m sorry if this is bad, but I’m quite curious about Trickster and all entities and how each of them represent their assigned mental disorder. When I first saw them in the shorts, they definitely caught my eye for being… well, different, than the rest.

You can tell a lot by how they act. Black bird becoming a bit of a bully shows you embracing all the mean things other kids say and throwing it all back to feel better. Cycle of bullying at its worst

Wondering how and why the eras are all so wildly different from one another! Interesting way to break up chunks of time as separate people interacting, it really demonstrates how much change a person goes through.

the little entities that resemble your disorders / conditions is something I dont think a lot of people have though about doing before. just imagining that your being watched, controlled, or possessed by a wonky creature instead of being confused as to what's going on. its a good mental thing if you practice it well enough. also the era's are super chaotic and fun to watch !!

It’s so nice to get to see some of the eras before their time, sort of like a preview. It’s also so much fun to see how you would interact with your past and future selves and how they would interact with each other. I really appreciate the explanations on the entities and what they represent because I was so curious when Clockwork first showed up. It’s a very creative but understandable way to visualize certain challenges in a digestible way. Thank you for sharing!

I'm beyond of loving this project it's so real even though the story is told by smal tadpole (Wild child) it's really beautiful. It also makes me think a lot about my childhood and my eras and boy was it a rollercoaster. Anyway you hame my full support keep going and stay safe ❤️✨
