wow!! I cannot believe that they were taking this panels down from that private home in Paris. why would they do that?! Luckily Stephanie got them and is able to repurpose them in the grand salon :D it will look magical, i cannot wait to see the final result.
Sadly, too many ancient valuable French properties (townhouses, chateaus, etc.) end up being sold bit by bit, starting with the lands when there are some, then the furniture, the paneling, mantlepieces and sometimes even the rest (that is destroying the house entirely). But as you rightly say, it is some confort to see that at least these panels will be reused in some other historical property.
@@theduchess9019 *That being said thins are not always taken with the owner's permission, a lot of items get stolen.* *I'm not saying it's the case here, but if you buy furniture or paneling from antique dealers you don't always know if it was acquired legally!* *Art works even get stolen from museums and they end up in private homes.*
@@JoeDurobot Yes, this is true, but in this case, they say the paneling comes directly from the townhouse it was in and for which it was probably created in the first place. What’s worst is when perfectly preserved estates get torn to pieces and the bits sold abroad. At least, Stephanie’s reusing this paneling in a French chateau where many will be able to see it, on RUclips at least and maybe on site for B&B patrons. I hope all of this will be restored and installed _dans les règles de l’art_ though...

I’m SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!! This is a huge milestone for Stefanie. So happy and proud of you and for your hard work, a revolutionary pioneer! 🎉
Oh this is just wonderful news. Stephanie you must be delighted 😊💕
Yes! Exactly How I want to spend my evening , watching you all 🙏🏾🥰🍷🧀
I love your enthusiasm Steph, you quite evidently inspire a great number of people, both to work with you and to contribute towards the renovation of Lalande. You are quite an amazing woman!
The panelling is stunning and Dylan is a dream, as was your look for the webinar! What an amazing time at Lalande- thank-you as always for sharing your world with us Stephanie.
Packed full of informative projects and still never enough. Love this RUclips channel.
When I see amazing things like this happening at LaLande , I can’t help but think off Henry and your father helping in some way. Thank Stephanie for giving us this escapism.
Stephanie you look simply sublime on that blue evening gown, just lovely.
O.M.G! That mirror!!!!!
@@theduchess9019 *That being said thins are not always taken with the owner's permission, a lot of items get stolen.*
*I'm not saying it's the case here, but if you buy furniture or paneling from antique dealers you don't always know if it was acquired legally!*
*Art works even get stolen from museums and they end up in private homes.*
I guess the inheritance situation doesn't help the keeping of estates etc intake.
@@jaynegrunnill3705 You are right!
So much going on!! Amazing 🤩 Selmar, brilliant compost bins, your skill, finesse, and love for what you do shines through. 😇
¿is it weird if i say i would much enjoy a vídeo of the cleaning of the tiles?😅
I’m thinking of a tile party; sorry, tile and wine party!! Susan from Hobart.
@@susanduff-silsby2695 sounds fun😁

I want my bread delivered.
Oh I know! I have a small piece of French bread , had to grab it, from Panera, eatery here in US. And wanting more. Have to go to grocery tomorrow as I don’t get bread delivery! ☹️
Love the surprises you get watching these videos, who knew about the arrival of panelling! Love it ❣️
It’s truly spectacular, especially the mirror xx
Stephanie, your talk was marvelous and you did not seem at all nervous. So excited about the paneling.
Absolutely love it! The paneling is gorgeous! Very exciting seeing l the improvements. Everything and more you ever thought it could be is coming along perfectly. Thank you all Patreons and everyone who is working so hard.
Looking out for MARCEL the hedgehog around the garden area. C.P.M.H. ( Campaign for the Protection of Marcel the Hedgehog ). Seriously impressive activity regarding the fabric and management of Chateau De La Lande. I cannot wait to see the 18th restorative library being reset and homed according to your design.
Composting units ready for action, mulch needed improvement. 🧝♀️👍🇫🇷🍷🇬🇧🦔😂
Simply incredible. What more can be said about the arrival of the 18th century paneling. After watching over 200 vlogs to date, this has to rank as one of the most exciting. So much progress, so much hard work and such great talents gathered together to bring Chateau Lalande back to its former glory as a masterpiece of design, craftmanship and absolutely breathtaking beauty. Quite a moving tribute to the lady who had a big dream, has never given up and is now living that dream. That you, Stephanie, for sharing with us a monumental treat to be admired for centuries to come.
❤️❤️❤️
First, Stephanie, you and your dress for your Zoom meeting - beautiful. The paneling for the Grande Salon is beyond incredible. Selmar has made yet another wonderful contribution to Lelande with the compost bin. Ian is moving quickly on Nati’s apartment. I have no doubt it will be another wonderful space. And the China pantry...also is moving quickly. I think the hexagon floor tiles and the hexicon cabinet will make another incredible “statement” space within Lalande. It is all beyond exciting! 🤗❤️
Oh, my! A dream come true! Great helpers jumping in to do the task!
This boiserie is stunning! Love the patina of the exterior paneling (minor conservation work is needed) and how impressively fresh wood looks on the backside (probably they put some new for support)!!! So glad you've got it! It is a perfect addition to the chateau. So pleased to see such a dream becoming true ❤️ Your cousin is definitely cute 😍 Beautiful family!
I love how you have all picked up and say like Philip: “ Right?!” And “ yeah…Right!?” 😁😁💛
I am so excited for you, Stephanie! The panelling is so gorgeous! What a find! So perfect for the Grand Salon!
Watching the paneling being unloaded really made me cry. I’m so happy for everyone!
How exciting your paneling arrived Yay and omg Your Grand Salon will be so elegant when it's finished Steff and the same for your China Room and I can't wait to see them finished along with Nati's cozy apartment..You are Stunning in your blue dress with your hair to 1 side and I'm hoping it will be aired so I will keep looking on French Societies website...Yay to having Another party at the Compost Bins giggles..This is so exciting..Love to you all xoxo Carol
Will Selmar be treating the new paneling for ‘the beasts within’ (woodworm) while you are waiting for your cousin’s arrival?
Amazing Thumbnail! Truly just beautiful! I am so excited about all the restoration projects that you have happing! I can not wait to see it finished!
Those panels have Lalande written all over them.....xo
Semar did a great job on the compost bins. They allow the air to circulate through the bins ,perfect for what is going to be put in the garden.
Stephanie, you look so beautiful in that blue dress...if Philip chose it for you, he chose well! I am always excited to see your progress and to see all the lovely people involved in the evolution of LaLande. I feel like I am watching history being made. Best wishes to you all!!!
Where do you find all these skilled workers from England in the middle of rural France? It is uncanny.
I noticed that too- uncanny!!
Recently there have been many French workers involved in one way or another
