France and Italy are two huge art museums - every little village, town and city has such unique history and art works and historical treasures. You can literally step back into any age you fancy - Belle Époque, Napoleonic, Bourbon and or as far back as you want, it’s all there. Close your eyes to telegraph poles and other modernities and you can imagine yourself walking those streets in medieval times. Thank you, Stephanie, I LOVE the Chateau renovations but I adore these trips to other towns with their history. As I am now too old to travel I have become a vicarious, voyeuristic traveller thanks to you. Those cobble stones would have defeated me, as they did when I was younger!!

Stephanie watching this for a second time. I think I am a able to take it all in a little bit more as during 2020 as well as 2021 work was crazy at the hospital I work for and now things are thankfully a bit more normal. Stephanie no matter the circusstances you look at the positive. The point you made in this vlog about all of us in different places but experiencing the same thing being quite a thought was so powerful. If we can continue that thought all our lives that all of us are here on this earth experiencing this earth life experience or life school, different stories but same school I think we would all get a long a lot better. Love the bathroom in Stephanie’s bedroom! The antique pcs. are so fitting in the style of the chateau. I’ve seen chateau owners fit out their every ensuite in modern style . This alone would automatically cause me to strike them off the list. The tile with the grey grout I have to live with everyday in my kitchen( not my choice). There are many printed porcelain fixtures out there. The tile is also so cold looking.

Actually I adore you too Stephanie, especially with your statement of never taking the history and beauty you are surrounded by for granted, I love that. It reminds me of the people sitting on the train going over the Sydney harbour bridge, reading their newspapers, like I can't look out at the view, I'm a local, I don't want to appear as a tourist, but for me it was like I never not want to miss out on looking at the marvellous view.
