- It's finally time for the 200th episode of The Chateau Diaries! Back in 2018 I started making these diaries of life at the Chateau de Lalande, little knowing that this video journal would change not only my life, but the lives of the people I love and the future of my chateau. In spite of a little set-back that saw me admitted to the local hospital, this episode is a celebration of how far we've come. We even start work on the creation of something I've been looking forward to for years - the transformation of my private apartment at the chateau...

Honestly Stephanie my heart hit the floor when I saw you in a hospital bed!!! THANK THE HEAVENS you are already improving. It’s difficult to articulate just how someone you’ve never met can affect one’s life but you have done that for me. I have never traveled to Britain, to Europe as I hoped to after high school graduation many years ago.
You have given me that. With you and others I have seen parts of France I may never see in person. I have had the joy of the people and progress at LaLande that I would never have experienced. I am approaching my 70th year, I am a single woman (my children grown) with limited means. You and all the WONDERFUL experiences shared from LaLande have brought new life into my world. PLEASE take care of yourself, and THANK YOU Philip!

I discovered your channel during lockdown and must tell you how many pleasant hours have been spent viewing your beautiful chateau, your family and lovely friends. 200, took a lot of focus & discipline to accomplish. Take all the time you need to recover, we want to see you for years to come.
The blue "earring" on that fluffy-bottomed hen is actually her ear lobe (so they say). And supposedly she will lay eggs about the color of her ear lobe. If you want various colored eggs, look at the hens' ear lobe colors.
They should call her Ana Karenina, never saw a chick that looks so russian and elegant at the same time 👀👌

It is her ear lobe yes, and the color of her skin is blue too! But she won't lay colored eggs like that, the Auracana chicken will lay blue or green eggs. Silkie chickens make the best mommies though, they sit on eggs not even their own and won't get off very often!
I've been waiting since yesterday to find out how you are - I hope all is well! I told my husband, 'Oh no! Stephanie is in the hospital!" He replied, "Stephanie who?" I said, "Stephanie at-the-chateau." He sighed :) I'm all about the chateau these days! I hope you are HOME!! Be well, and take some time to rest.

I know this is probably irrelevant but a couple of years ago I knocked a doorway through the wall of my 16th century cottage in France without wearing a mask. I was extremely I'll for several days later and just made it back home to England where I was hospitalised for three days on a drip. I'm sure there are all kinds of 16th century pathogens living in that dust! Get well soon Stephanie.

Take a break. The mind is willing to do everything it sees.....BUT the body ain't. And the older we get the harder it is to motivate the body. I am 74 and just now learning that lesson of age. I admire all the energy you all have to keep that Chateau going along with all your vlogs too. Least you have many people and animals around you that love you very much. Can tell by the way you all treat each other. Truly a gift from God!!!

My breathe caught on sight of you in hospital and I pray for your speedy and complete recovery. You have given so much to all of us who enjoy your vlogs so please don’t over exert yourself. I love how you all always joke about Time Team. I had never seen it, before last month (not a thing in America), but when RUclips recommended me a full episode, I watched it and fell in love. They have a PATREON to bring the show back in a new way and just announced their first two digs! If anyone has money for Patreon and likes archaeology, I highly recommend supporting. And on their official channels, Official Time Team and Time Team Classics, they post full past episodes twice a week, accompanied by bonus videos like excellent interviews and commentaries! I hope everyone gets on this Time Team boat with me, it’s amazing!!!
I’ve spent my fair share of time in hospitals, and I am so glad to see your have your comfy special PJs on, and a travel mug, and flowers, and I hope books and occasionally treats brought to you (because hospital food starts to taste all the same at some point). Hope the recovery is going very well and you will not require being rushed in again! I think previously you had an infection and I have BEEN there, girl. Congrats on 200 and I hope you still enjoyed this moment even if it wasn’t how you planned it!
Stephanie, I was watching Phillip peel the wallpaper off to see the vintage one underneath, and I went Wow!, take a look. You can see the large flower has two 'daisy's' above it that look like two large '00' then, to the left is a vine or leaf coming down beside them and it looks like it is a '2' Then you see '200'. Not only that but it is repeated right up the wall, once seen you can't un-see it. It was like La Lande was saying Happy 200th to you. Please check it up, truly this Chateau is loving you back for all the love you have shown it, all the love that lives inside it, and all the love it shares with us. I don’t know what to say first, Thank you for 200 fabulous vlogs that got me through the COVID shut down and sleepless nights after surgeries, or, get well words for you darling girl. Imagine you lying in your hospital bed worrying about us being informed about your next few vlogs! Just rest, get better we love you. It was so much fun seeing the boudoir transformation. The light and extra footage is transforming that space onto something spectacular.

I have a very strong sense of Intuition, to the point that sometimes it almost seems extrasensory. Yesterday when I didn't see the vlog I immediately had an image of you in a hospital bed, and told myself I was just worrying too much, as I often do. But I kept thinking about you and hoping you were ok. I just had such a strong feeling that something happened. I am beyond relieved to see that you are ok, even though my worst fear was true. You bring so much light into the world, but I do worry about you overworking yourself sometimes, and just want you to know if you need to take it easy for awhile, I, and surely many others, would understand and be completely supportive of it. So sorry to see this!!!! I am home recuperating from a hospital stay and am on IV antibiotics. They make me feel icky and watching your blogs are a delectable distraction.
