    01 7.3 crew lb 350 xlt 4x4 I bought it in nov. after researching diesels. The 7.3 seemed best to me. I wanted a diesel truck that'll last for long time. Seen many for sale a lot with well over 500k, one with 800 n another with 900k !
    I have 04 tahoe, use it to pull trailer n atvs, lucky if I get 7-8 mph n when towing, not towing 10-12 mpg depending how heavy my foot is that day. My 7.3 came with hydra tune, upgraded trans n cooler, younger guy, much younger than me had/sold it. Has 2" lift, mayhem rims with 33/12.5/20 tires(would like more of a beefier tire and not as much as ones on it), travel/mirror lights changed to white with smoked covering s, 1000w amp, 12" subs rock crawling, I switched out old bench seat for 40/20/40 seats, replaced cushion n cover and on drivers side, has rock crawling lights(unplugged no use for em), windshield led light bar, 5" exhaust(ends at rear tire under middle of bed) He blew engine @240k he sent back to ford n had it rebuilt( pics n paperwork), I bought with 280k on it.
    In performance mode I'm getting about 14mpg. Haven't put it in "race" mode yet. Still getting used to it n don't want ef it up. Its big ass truck compared to my tahoe. I love it, learning so much from youtube vids. Replaced all the power steering hoses, not by choice, that was fun bleeding lines, must of turned seeing wheel 1000 times lol, going to replace the hpop lines got little leakage(o-rings) from both sides. Have to replace rocker panel n a cab corner(have em), replace n weld new bed frame rails and coat entire truck in bed liner. Daughters saying black? Its white with a grey 1' strip on bottom. Probably roll the bed line on?
    Sorry for novel 😂
    Btw the bad environment comment is not necessary, climate change is a lie!
    Fun fact - CO2 in our atmosphere is .04% That's point zero 4 percent, not even a tenth of a percent but 4 hundredth of a percent!
    50 yrs ago it was .03%
    All plant life dies if less than .02%!!!
    Nice video thanks for the reassurance on my purchase😉
    Keep posting!

    i had been debating and looking for a truck for around 4 months before i started work, as i needed to tow almost daily and it just so happened that my neighbor who had unfortunately passed away, and he had a gorgeous 2010 f350 king ranch with 65 thousand miles on it and his wife had received everything he left and she approached me one day asking if i had any interest in the truck, and idk it just felt like the right truck to buy so i got an absolute steal on it and that was 4 years ago, its now got around 220 thousand miles scott free, it is fully deleted and tuned with aftermarket turbo's but i love the truck, best king ranch generation ever made, and best looking steel body super duty imo

  • @JLCmike4014
    @JLCmike4014 Год назад +6

    1999 and 2000 were the best years for the 7.3L. 1999 was the first year of the super duty which got you an intercooler, bigger turbo and intake, and injectors that flowed more fuel. Also those year engines had forged connecting rods so you can push more power to the bottom end of those engines than the later years of the 7.3L.
    6.0L is a fantastic engine once you do all the deletes and upgrades on it. Navistar’s designation of the 7.3L was the T444E, VT365 for the 6.0L, and Maxxforce 7 for the 6.4L. 6.4L engines are junk, 150,000 mile motors and that’s it.
