this "Men will be Men" ad campaign by Imperial Blue was one of the most successful ad campaigns of India, almost everyone here knows the iconic background music "pyaar ki raah mein, chalna seekh". These ads have become a part of indian pop culture
But twist is that imperial blue is name of alcohol brand

This is a PERFECT EXAMPLE OF SURROGATE ADS. THIS IS BECAUSE ALCOHOL ADS ARE BANNED IN INDIA.

Either way, this ad speaks one major truth: No matter how much liberal attitudes might come into the minds of men, they cannot resist presenting antics to simp over a woman. It's probably just a biological desire to impress women, which in real life would mostly result in messing up.
My fav old advertisements are : HapppyDent white, Fevicol (Mid 2000s' ad) and some cricket specials.

Edit: The answer is no.
I had to change my punctured tyre once while returning back to home from office. I knew theoretically how to change a tyre but that was the first time I actually did it. It was a miserable experience and I didn't feel one bit manly.
Thus is actually as pseudo ad for alcohol brand...in India it is actually illegal to advertise alcohol and tobacco on TV..so those companies use pseudo ads advertising some other stuff under their company with similar name to promote their product...i dont know if its ethical or not but they certainly do get around it

Most indian commercials have been very relatable and story oriented. Many are funny. I was always stupefied when visiting US/UK when the ads made no sense to me as they did not seem creative at all. Just plain.

Trivia : India doesn't allow ads on alcohol. Imperial blue is actually a whisky .
So to circumvent that rule, they released an album called the same name as the alcohol. This meant they can still keep their name on air.
So many companies did the same, like sparkling water/water(Kinley) , mouth fresheners etc. with the same name as an alcohol brand name.
Later the govt made a rule that you can only use the brand name as the product name, if a certain % of income came from the sale of that product. So some actually do sell like more sparkling water etc. now.

1. Imperial Blue is a whiskey brand, but as it is not allowed in India to advertise alcohol or tobacco, brands surrogate ad as music CD or soda or other "fake" products.
2. The song in the background is a Ghazal, a genre of songs with has a lot of literary and musical legacies.
3. Ghazals are also famous among people who consume alcohol and listen to slow and nice music, that is the reason for adding it to the whiskey ad.
4. Ghazal has multiple couplets (2 lines) in it, and a typical Ghazal song will have 5 couplets.
5. This ghazal has a very beautiful first couplet. Its meaning literally is - learn to walk on roads (paths) of love, learn to burn (get immersed) in the fire of love. But this is not any known Ghazal, so there are no other couplets of this Ghazal. This is a sad thing, as a Ghazal with such a beautiful kaafiya and Radeef ( rhyme and meter) should have been completed.
6. Why I am writing such a big comment? - Because of this Ghazal couplet, not only me, many Ghazal lovers of India & Pakistan long for this ghazal with is used just as a jingle.
The song is saying" learn to walk in the path of love"
Come on guys for God sake even Achara used it 😂😂😂 let's order some of that stuff JK 😂😂
