Sam looks like the kinda guy that really, really put an effort on improving the quality of its videos and takes pride o the higher quality content that he makes.
totally agree, the late 90s to late 2000s was that sweet spot of when laws didn't make it so cars had to use turbos and bigger catalytic converters for efficiency, and right when there was just enough tech but not enough to be invasive on the driving experience.
The editing, flybys, music and overall style of these videos is just too good. I've been watching since the 4C days and nowadays the quality is getting close to some tv productions. Except it's just you doing most of the work and that's really outstanding!
A roof. These are almost entirely uselss in the UK given the weather. The removable roof that comes with them is laughable. Cutting the roof make them bendy to a degree that it's pointless having one with the FHP fitted (see Harry's Garage for 550 review for reference). The regular 550 is a better car in almost every respect, it even looks nicer. The only reason you'd own a Barchetta is tell people you have one. The 575 SA is a better proposition all round over one of these, it has a roof that works, if you find one that doesn't have a delaminating roof which are NLA.
Sam, I think I can speak on behalf of others as well...I’d absolutely love to see a ‘Behind the scenes’ of how you produce your videos. The production quality is immense! I think I’d give people a real appreciation for the amount of effort you put into them.
I was way more into cars when I was younger and slowly started unsubscribing from other car youtubers as their style and content didn't really attract me anymore. But you Sam, you are doing exceptionnaly great videos ! May it be the production quality or just the way you present and talk about the cars, I love it ! Keep going !
I dont think people actually appreciate the effort that is put into these videos. Sam is killing it on production quality compared to most of the auto RUclipsrs. Multi angle shots, drone footage, chase car shots and great audio quality in a convertible. Quality work and genuine effort 👏
I love that you love older icons! It’s easy to grow tired of all of the same cars on all the channels. You are always fresh and exciting. Great vid Sam, thnx!
Such a nice ride. Modern Ferraris are so manic with the flappy paddle boxes and 700+ horsepower. For a street machine, this level of power and performance is pretty much perfect. Vey niche tho with no roof...gotta be a fine day and hope like hell it doesn't get wet and rainy all of a sudden. Thanks for posting mate!
Sam, your Ferrari is (in my opinion) the nicest You Tuber car. Yes, others may have more expensive cars, however your stunner is just everything a sports car should be!!! It’s absolutely beautiful!!!
Slightly off topic, love that you pick non generic youtuber music. Makes the content more "premium". Also great effort on picking up the intoxicating exhaust notes on your videos. More power!
Just wanted to say, in these hard and lonely times, with the dull winter days and being furloughed, your videos keep bringing a smile to my face. Thank you Sam!
Think today your channel went up a level bring Max in on the content ! Awesome car, knowledgeable information from Max and not a word about wrapping , monthly payments, new alloys. Let’s have more !
10 years ago I had a 40 km ride in a Rosso Corsa 550 barchetta in Croatia. What an experience! This is one of the sexiest modern Ferraris I can think of. Unfortunately we had to keep that silly soft top on. Unforgettable experience! Mate I love your content!
Great video as always Sam. Love the 550 barchetta. I have also been in a dark green barchetta. Owned by a famous musician. You can’t beat the Ferrari V12 sound.
Such an awesome car and a great video Sam! A couple notable omissions in the history lesson are the 250 GT California and the USA only 275 NART Spyder. I would also like to see you review the 812 GTS. While I know you dislike it being a mass production car, I still think you would fall in love with how cool it is
You never fail to disappoint Sam. Keep it coming and please lets see more content with Max, i could listen to him talk about cars all day as well as your good self of course.
Awesome you restart the fun of driving open top cars in the winter STG :) First the Porsche Speedster, now this rather special V12 retro baller spec. Ideas: join JE of LDNM fame for workout, STG & TURO 2021 partnership!
The cold starts of both cars were epic! With the exception that 360 screams continuously! What an eargasm!;) Btw, nice tribute to the ongoing meme phenomenon of the U.S. politician with those gloves!:)))
Sam, I think you need to experience an 812 GTS. I think they decided to make the convertible V12 a series production car instead of a limited edition special, as a potential final farewell to the N/A V12 Ferrari. That soundtrack needed to be heard one last time, cause it’s probably true that the 812’s Successor will have a de-tuned SF90 twin-turbo V8 hybrid setup. I get your logic that with the GTS, Ferrari just become massively less special, but I don’t think you can enquire to buy an 812 GTS if you’re a relatively new customer. You probably have had to play the “I owned a F430 and a F12 and bought a California T for my wife to enjoy.” Then you can buy an 812 GTS. Even if the car is not associated with a numbered build run, a convertible V12 Ferrari is always something else. Only if you see them popping up everywhere does the “special-ness” vanish, like I’ve never seen an 812 GTS yet.
Have driven a 550 Maranello a few times and they truly are great. Not shockingly quick by today’s standards but have a real presence and sense of occasion missing in more modern sports cars.
Great video, Max REALLY knows his stuff, I first saw him doing the RM auctions online with cars going for millions and is it six different languages he can speak?, he has access to some amazing cars and maybe he could put Sam in with some of his contacts for a few videos.
Hi Sam, 12 years ago I avoided buying a similar car due to its pointlessly inadequste canopy of a roof. I went for a Superamerica instead, which has a similarly glamorous feel. However, having fallen for the charms of a 90s front engined V12, I went for a 550 Maranello because of the sheer range of its talents. Only an old man's car if driven that way...see if you can borrow one and drive it properly all day...it will shrink around you long after you've had to park the 360 for break...great sports car though it undoubtedly is.
The whole video I thought you're saying "ruthless" with a lisp...a ruthless ferrari....now I figured out you're saying roofless it does make more sense :S
I didn't realize it until now, but Sam, you actually look like a young Michael Schumacher. Great review. I think its definitely time to buy one of these modern classics.
The video of Harry Metcalfe taking his on the Mille Miglia remains one of my favorite RUclips moments to watch. The scene with the police escort through Rome traffic still makes me nervous.
Production quality on these videos have massively improved over the years.
Thank you! Really appreciate it

I don’t know man. They have been a few leagues above others for as long as I can remember
Yeah especially when you look at Paul, and Sam responds to his subs too
Agreed, and his channel has stood the test of time very well, unlike some other UK and US automotive channels.
The 90s and 00s where it was at boys.
Agreed!
Absolutely

Old V12 Manual roofless Ferrari. What more could you ask for?
Literally nothing. Its perfection

A manual 575m coupe. Never liked the look of the 599 gtb.

Very kind! Glad you enjoyed it
Yes. These will skyrocket. And they're gorgeous, forever.
Agreed
Sam got those Bernie Sanders gloves 🤣👌🏻
Haha YUP!

Glad you like them!
The front end is stunning on these bad boys, always loved a 550, especially a barchetta
I think it's such a good looking car
Most beautiful bonnet air intake ever!

Loving the drone footage! Shows how good Ferraris look down country lanes.
It’s 4:30am in California and i was about to got to bed until i saw this pop up. Great as always!

I love your Ferrari 360! Also the 550 is a lovely choice. Just look at that thing. What a beautiful thing! Pininfarina just does that magic
Couldn't agree more!

I randomly saw and fan boyed over one of these at a petrol station in Sydney.
Absolutely beautiful things and it sounded disgustingly good!!!!
Great job, Sam. This is a very cool car, V12 & spider. Love it.
Great review and nice shots, especially at around 7 min, with the matching music 👍🏻😊😉
Love Max Girardo doing the explanation of the car. Great voice that I'd love to here say 'Sold to you sir. Well bought!'
