I use to shoot handheld all the time. Then I fully rigged my 6k pro with vmount, follow focus and monitor. I tried a documentary shoot handheld. Although I got good shots and used my chest and beer belly for steady results. My shoulders, pecs and triceps were burnt out the very next day. So thank you for the review. My next purchase!
Thanks Matthew I’m glad that you liked it. Yes the investment is totally worth it
Nice review! Thanks from Sweden.
Looks awesome. I really like your Content. Hope this channel will grow ☺️
You're welcome :)
Super cooles Video! Danke für die Infos!! 🥰 Sehr hilfreich 🔥
Gern, freut mich das es dir geholfen hat ;)
Really nice. I'll buy one as well in the next months. Thanks for your review.
You're welcome :)
Great Tutorial!! Thanks for the insight!
Thanks mate :)
Thanks Paule!
You’re welcome glad that you like it ☺️
Nice review thanks. To adjust tension of the wire how does it work? Turning the knob will only change the wire length up and down... letting the wire lower means lower tension for lighter rig? But if we want to do shoulder rig at shoulder level, we have to shorten the wire at right position.
Thanks. Adjusting the back knob is only the tension you adjust the length with a different one.
Nice video Paule ,Hello from London
Thanks mate, glad that you like it
Cool Video. I really enjoy your Videos. Please Keep going :)
You're welcome :)
Great video. Question for you: would it be possible to mount the ronin s upside down to achieve a stabilized gimbal that won’t fatigue you easily ?
No that’s not possible
@@pauleporterdp Due to the weight limit?
Hi! Ive tried this and this is how it works: you buy a 1/4 ring and screw in into the bottom of the ronin. Then buy a kong hook and put it on the easyrig hook. The connect the two easily. My opinion about this: jes it works fine, wont make u tired but the better option is: 1. Buy a ring grip, 2: buy a back handle to put the ring mount on
@@everonproducties thanks for the reply. My reason for wanting to do this is to film myself walking and talking or possibly on a bike. Do you think this could work with a wide angle lens?
@@MattShockley if you mean vlogging, just go the easy route and get something way smaller, like a vlogging handle and vlogging cam.
Have you heard of any accessories to stuff into the lumbar area for extra support?
No if it is properly suited you don’t need any lumbar support.
But I advise to ask the manufacturer what they suggest.
I’m planning to get A7SIII, can you review the camera if you get the chance?
Hi I'll get the camera once shipping starts here in EU. Will definitely make a review and comparing it to my pre-ordered R5
I've been using it for about a week and can't get comfortable wearing it. I keep putting way too much strain on my back. I've adjusted every which way, and I just get fatigued after an hour of use. What tips do you recommend? I use a tilta advance rig/ronin 3 Pro with an external monitor.
Hm, are you maybe too big for the minimax?
I have ordered this item. As a one-man documentarian, what I'm trying to figure out is how to also have a small pack (like a "fanny pack") to carry extra batteries, cell phone, Sharpie, etc. Typically, you could put such an item around your waist, but it looks like it might not be possible while wearing the EasyRig. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for a terrific video.
Thanks man glad that you like it. I know what you mean and It would be great to have a bag around the waist belt. The easy rig vario 5 so the bigger one has that. But yeah would be great if the minimax would have that too
You should try a chest pouch from Contrera or set wear.
it would be nive to see some footage of the camera moves that you said it was good for, push in, etc
Ok thanks for your feedback
How did you record this audio? Great video.
Thanks man 😄 I used a Lav Mic taped to my chest. ☺️
Does the easyrig mini max have two different types of quick release available ? I seen the one for $150 .there is one on b and h that says with qr but it's sold out
No what you mean you can only buy for the vario5
The link I sent you says with quick release but it's sold out ... the other one a person can buy now but does not mention quick release but it's same price .
i love your t shirt 👌🏾❤️
Thanks mate, are you from Africa? ;)
@@pauleporterdp yes ,Senegal but i live in France nice video that helped me a lot
Have u travel with this if so what case did you use or how did u protect it on a flight?
Good question. I just use the bag it comes with and you could use that as check in luggage
@@pauleporterdp was thinking about using that it just doesn’t have a lot of protection
What's the maximum payload? Can it handle a Arri Amira? With mattebox and support rods, monitor, 2 Tilta focus motors and a 4x5.65 filter? + V mount battery
As said in the video it’s 7 kg
@@pauleporterdp Thanks!
Vario 5 it is!
thats a really clean review! i want to come germany to study film & motion design. Have you heard about University of Europe for Applied Sciences?
Thanks mate. No. I haven’t but I also never went to film school 😋
@@pauleporterdp ohh, i'm in 10th grade, filming since my childhood. and soon will we going for higher education so thaught for a film school as i am really passionate about it! is it really worth going to a film school?
It depends I think.
Personally I never felt that I missed something but I think the contacts you get are valuable for sure
@@pauleporterdp ohh then i should definately go for it, currently im 15, within 2 yrs ill be going there!
Merhabalar blackmagic 4.6k kameramda bu malzemeyi kullanabilir miyim? Ekipman konusunda sorun yaşamıyorum. Sorunum kolayca taşır mı acaba?
Do you speak English?
@@pauleporterdp Hello, can I use this material on my blackmagic 4.6k camera? I have no problems with the equipment. I wonder if my problem is easy to carry?
I'm sold
Thanks for watching :)
Hi Paul.
Hi Max 😌
From which shop you purchased??
Teltec
@@pauleporterdpthank you
No link?
There is one
I know it's specialist equipment but that's like £300 worth of value there! I can't believe what it costs being a dumb not smart.
Thanks for your feedback :)
Sorry great video by the way@@pauleporterdp
Thank you
You could make one of these for $150.
I know the price is high but it’s worth the investment.
Sure.. but most people don’t have the time and… of course the client might be second guessing their videographer when he/she arrives with a backpack with rods sticking out of the top 😂
Nice review! Thanks from Sweden.
Thanks for watching mate :) 😊
