This piece of gear will save your life and body as a filmmaker in the long run!
Extend your body and extend your career!
"Small, feeble, weak" 😂
Just a little warning...some of those easy rig knock offs are made with inferior parts internally. I've seen reports of them just snapping and totally failing. So as much as easyrig costs...sometimes its not worth risking our rig. I use an easy rig vario 5 and it was a hard decision to put down that kind of $$ for it...but I'm glad I did. I have way more confidence in it lasting over time.
Yup.
That really goes for anything really. I bought so much stuff because it was half the price of the 'original' brand. To only hate it because of it breaking easily or having other problems. Then having to spend so much more on a new one. Id rather save my money and spend it on quality gear than knockoffs. Unless the knockoff is actually amazing and trustworthy.
Yup. Just shot three days with the Vario 5 and a flowcine serene. FX9 set up with V mount battery and Shogun inferno. Great thing to have!
Ready to pull the trigger on an easyrig and then this. 👌🏽 thanks for the video.
great info man, have a great day!
Needed to see this🔥
You should also mention that Easyrig is actually the innovator of this system and should therefore get all the credit for it. The other brands are chinese or indian knock-off brands that might not be as healthy for your back as the original certified Easyrig. For a start there is also the Easyrig MiniMax which is indeed around 1000 bucks and is great for setups below 7 KG, which might be enough for most users here. Cheers!
100% easy rig is the best option and the creators.
well, you are right, but it is not THAT hard to invent a backpack with an L-shaped tube sticking out...
@@kleindavid9416 If that's all it was, then no it wouldn't.
But the "backpack" has an entire adjustable spring system inside it. That and the entire setup, from the metal parts down to every hand sewn hem is what is copyrighted by Johan Hellsten, the owner of the Easyrig company, and the inventor of their entire product catalogue.
Mikael Karlsson of course you are right - but as far as I know to have the springs, you need to have the puppeteer, too, and hand-sewn or not: the design is I’ll-fitted for woman, the screws sticking out in the back can damage walls behind you, when place is scarce (as it always is) and compared to a Steadicam-vest it’s not THAT comfortable - so to me, to be honest, it remains a fancy, overpriced, not 100% thought through backpack
Great channel great content .. respect !
Would you say the camera movement with easyrig is between true handheld and shoulder rig? Or more flowy like hybrid of handheld and steadicam?
Easyrig is a life\back\arms saver, plus it smooths handheld motion giving a great look (keep in mind that it's not supposed to be ir look like a steadycam). I love my Vario 5, from Red to Alexa and Gimbals, it can hold everything!
their new "FLOW" rig is a game changer too
Just for your info guys, in case it helps, most of this products are made in Asia, and can be bought in TaoBao.com for cheaper price. Not sure if it is worthy for some.
Of course no USA or Europe warranty, but if you source shops with good feedback, more than 5 diamonds, or crowns, the are legit, you can send items back and get refunds.
These are just re branded items. Not saying anything bad about it, but if you are really short in budget, go to the source, use Google translate and most of the shops speak english, as they are from HK or Beijing, and it is getting better. Also read the comments below about back issues and weight distribution with these cheap options, is not the same than a EasyRig.
Nice video review once again.
Does the cable comes with the easyrig?
Thanks for the vid 🙏🏼 I’ve recently moved to cinema camera and didn’t know the weight it can pull on our back and wrists without any support is pretty bad.
Oh yea! Thats why these guys are great!
You gut, are the No.1 when it comes to behind the scenes!!!
thanks I try to bring y'all some good stuff
Been eyeing that Flycam ! haha gunna pick one up soon
good option forsure! Hope all is well bro
+1 on preferring handheld over gimbals. not a lot of filmmakers understand that! :)
That's not what he is saying at all
yes!!! handheld all day

Hi guys, Thanks for this video! We have a RED Gemini & Atlas Anamorphic set up. Anytime I rig it up on my Easyrig with the wooden camera UBM matte box and whole set up it is super front heavy and I constantly have to push up. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to balance it better. I was looking into getting a pogo extension to mount the monitor somewhere on the side and then just twist the top handle to be more central when I attach the easy rig. Just gonna try a few different things out but was wondering how you guys are dealing with this issue! Thanks! Natalia from Blue Slate
what'd you end up doing?
@@MrAlwaysOnTen Haven't figured out a way yet. I'm looking at a few different top handles that could potentially help.
Blue Slate Films have you looked into tilta armor man
What's the use of the serene? I see easyrig with them and without them. Thanks!
makes it so it floats better and doesn't bounce as you move. Sort of like a gimbal but for the easy rig in a sense.
Did ya'll get buff from hauling all that gear around?
whats a good affordable matte box?
@Brittney Janae - what lenses are you shooting with the most and do you need external ND filters or does your camera have them?
Tilta mini matte box
I have a friend that bought it And He's shot got much better ,And coincidently his girlfriend change her number And he couldn't reach her anymore.
buuuuuuffffnerds
Buffffff Terrrrrds
Mom said if you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything. She also said that you get what you pay for. Nuf said.
I will say that the first time I put on a new flycam, the straps broke... so the easyrig is worth the money
I agree 100% was just giving people a more "affordable" option. But you get what you pay for.
@@TheBuffNerds Fore sure, easyrig is by far the best but not affordable for everyone
